Chapter 2 - Forget me not

"Louis, Tristan is so lovely...and affectionate too."

"Um... affectionate? In one night Irene? News flash, you're not Cinderella." Louis laughed taking off her dress.

"I think I finally found my prince charming." Irene said falling back on the bed.

"I didn't even recognize him, I know everyone at that party except him and the men around him.

"That must mean he's not from around here, he must be from England or America?" She sat up and turned on the TV.

"Well I'm rooting for you."

"Madam, the London branch has sent in their reports."

She turned to her secretary and nodded.

"Just drop it there, Eloise."

Irene O' Connor, her mother's daughter, ran a bag company in Scotland. A heritage gotten from her mother.

She was beautiful, literally everyone adores her, she has the brightest smile and the sweetest soul.

"There is also another flower here for you." She smiled inwardly but her face remained passive.

She stood up and packed her bags.

"I'm leaving now, Eloise. I'll take the flowers with me." Eloise nodded and left the office with Irene following closely.

She walked out giving a slight nod of acknowledgement as her employee greeted, at 22, she had gotten her mother's company so far with Louis's partnership, they had built a tycoon.

She got into her car and drove to the flower valley where she usually met him.

"You're late, cara."

"Tristan." He hugged her and kissed her slightly on the lips, both staring into each other's eyes.

They had barely been two months into their relationship and she thought she couldn't live happily without him.

"Mia cara, you look stunning."

"As do you signor." He cocked a brow and she laughed.

"Of course I'm learning a little Italian."

They walked deeper into the valley of forget-me-not flowers.

"Why do you like it?" He asked picking one of the flowers.

"Because, it means love...and remembrance. There was a Scottish knight, he had gone out with his lover, he saw this flower and tried to pick it for her. He fell into the river and in his last breath, he said forget me not. A love so sweet." She sighed and he chuckled.

"You do not really believe all that myths, do you, cara?" He looked amused but she nodded.

"I want that kind of love, Tristan." He gulped and gave her a small smile.

"Did I mention how beautiful you look today?"

"Yes... You did." She tightened her grip on his hand.

"Indubbiamente."

She smiled and hugged him.

This was perfect.
