Chapter 90 - Intervention at Sea God Island

Chapter 90: Intervention at Sea God Island

At this moment, Yu Xiaogang was meticulously studying his "masterpiece," Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls, which had taken him over ten years of painstaking effort.

He sat in the cramped, swaying cabin of a massive sea vessel, the smell of salt and tar heavy in the air. He worked day and night, his mind filled with a volatile mix of anticipation and trepidation.

He anticipated that the Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls would be recognized and highly regarded by the entire Spirit Master world. This, he was certain, would finally make him, Yu Xiaogang, a theoretical Grandmaster.

His trepidation stemmed from the possibility that the content within his work might face controversy, as those theories had never been put into practice since he authored them.

"Xiao Gang, still worrying about the theory's publication?"

With a creak, the cabin door opened. Bibi Dong, having just finished inspecting the fleet, walked in. The damp sea air clung to her, making her armor gleam.

She was covered from head to toe in magnificent golden armor, and beneath her light purple cloak, her proud, perfect figure was fully visible. Her chest was full, her waist slender, and her legs were straight and long, exuding a breathtaking, dangerous beauty.

Even with her golden helmet on, her face was clearly visible. It was exquisite, fair, and her features were as picturesque as a painting. Though she still had some baby fat, as she had not yet given birth, it did not detract from her overall beauty.

She was as delicate and beautiful as a goddess. Her hair swayed with the sea breeze from the open porthole, her gaze was sharp, and her golden armor radiated light, making her resemble a beautiful female War God.

She was heroic and valiant, a figure that could easily inspire fantasies.

Upon seeing Bibi Dong, Yu Xiaogang paused for a few seconds, slightly dazed by her presence. He then quickly turned his head away, a familiar feeling of inferiority washing over him. He feigned a sigh, "No, I'm just not used to being at sea for so long."

Bibi Dong knew Yu Xiaogang's inner inferiority and naturally guessed he was putting on a brave front. His pride was as fragile as his Spirit.

She gently comforted him, her voice losing its commander's edge. "Don't worry, Xiao Gang. I've read your theory. Although much of its content has yet to be verified, I believe in it. It will certainly cause a strong reaction in the Spirit Master world."

Yu Xiaogang opened his mouth, wanting to speak, but he didn't know what to say.

Just then, a loud shout came from outside the cabin, echoing across the deck, "That's Sea God Island ahead!"

"Xiao Gang, stay in the cabin. Don't run around," Bibi Dong's voice instantly hardened, the commander returning. "I'll be right back."

With that, Bibi Dong's figure flashed and disappeared from the cabin, leaving Yu Xiaogang alone with his theories and his insecurities.

At the same time, on Sea God Island.

An extraordinarily tall peak soared into the clouds, disappearing into the thick, humid cloud layer. At its summit stood a building carved from pure white jade, square with a domed roof, its outermost perimeter formed by massive white stone pillars.

The entire structure was crystalline and imbued with a sacred, ancient radiance. This was the Sea God's Hall.

Inside the palace, Sea God Island's High Priest, Bo Saixi, sat gracefully on her throne. She held the Sea God Scepter in her left hand and rested her right hand on her cheek, her beautiful eyes slightly closed, her entire being exuding an aura of being high above all.

In the center of the main hall, an old man and a young woman stood side by side.

The black-clad old man on the left bowed respectfully. He was tall, and his aura felt as vast and deep as the ocean itself. "Lord Bo Saixi, enemies have invaded our Sea God Island while the island's Guardian Beast is away."

"Who dares to be so bold?" Bo Saixi spoke. Her voice was majestic and calm, yet ethereal and melodious, leaving one with a sense of spiritual purification just from hearing it.

The woman in a pink dress with glasses, standing next to the black-clad old man, replied, "Golden banners, marked with the Seraphim emblem. If I'm not mistaken, it should be Spirit Hall, from the land Spirit Masters."

[Inorin's Note: The black-clad man and the woman with glasses are Sea Dragon Douluo and Seawitch Douluo, respectively. They are two of the seven Titled Douluo responsible for guarding the Sacred Pillars of Sea God Island.]

"Spirit Hall?"

Hearing these three words, Bo Saixi finally, slowly, opened her eyes. They were as deep and blue as the ocean itself. "Is that old fossil, Qian Daoliu, on the ship?"

"Seawitch only detected four Titled Douluo auras ahead. The Spirit Hall High Priest was not found," the woman with glasses replied.

Upon hearing this, Bo Saixi couldn't help but feel even more disappointed in Qian Daoliu. If Qian Daoliu himself had come, she would have thought more highly of him. At least he would be facing her as an equal.

But he didn't come.

Unsurprisingly, these people were not ordered by Qian Daoliu to invade Sea God Island. Qian Daoliu was not so foolish as to send his subordinates to their deaths on her sacred island.

Rather, this arrogant, foolish act had to be the work of his son, Qian Xunji, who had succeeded him as Supreme Pontiff.

Qian Daoliu, Bo Saixi thought, a cold snort echoing in her heart, it seems you ultimately couldn't control your precious son. He is arrogant, but lacks the power to back it up.

Bo Saixi elegantly stood up, her sea-blue robes flowing around her. "Pass down the order: show no mercy."

The weather at sea is unpredictable.

It was clearly midday, when the sun should have been directly overhead. Yet, as if anticipating an imminent great battle, a layer of dark clouds quickly enveloped the sea surface, and heavy, torrential rain poured down.

On Sea God Island's side, the Sea Spirit Masters, led by Sea Dragon Douluo and Seawitch Douluo, two of the Seven Sacred Pillars, stood ready on the shore.

Opposite them, the massive fleet of Spirit Hall, led by the Holy Maiden Bibi Dong and four Titled Douluo, had a total of over 2,000 Spirit Masters eager for battle.

At this time, among Sea God Island's Seven Sacred Pillars, only Sea Dragon and Seawitch had advanced to Titled Douluo, while the other Sacred Pillars were still in the Spirit Douluo stage.

Furthermore, the island's Guardian Beast, the Devil Spirit Great White Shark tribe, was out hunting.

Sea God Island, facing Spirit Hall's four Titled Douluo in this operation, appeared to be the weaker side on the surface, but in reality, it harbored hidden dangers.

Yet, no one in Spirit Hall perceived this crisis. Each of them was brimming with fighting spirit, hoping to gain the Supreme Pontiff's favor through this battle and achieve high positions in Spirit Hall.

"Holy Maiden, it seems these Sea Spirit Masters are unwilling to be assimilated by Spirit Hall," Devil Bear Douluo, one of the four Titled Douluo, glanced at Sea Dragon and Seawitch opposite him.

Their Spirit Power was only Level 91 or 92. He immediately looked disdainful.

"Holy Maiden, order the attack," said Demon Wolf Douluo, who was also present, somewhat impatiently.

Bibi Dong did not answer directly, but instead looked at Devil Bear and Ghost Leopard, two Titled Douluo who held significant influence in Spirit Hall and were highly valued by High Priest Qian Daoliu.

The two, with their arms crossed, exchanged glances and nodded to Bibi Dong in unison.

"In that case, the battle that follows will be entrusted to the Elders," Bibi Dong said, her voice clear and carrying over the sound of the rain.

"All Spirit Masters of Spirit Hall, listen to my command—"

Just as she was about to order the attack on Sea God Island, a deep, ancient voice suddenly rang out, as if exploding in the air.

"Stop."

The voice wasn't loud, but the sheer dominance and Spirit Power it contained caused almost every Spirit Master from both Spirit Hall and Sea God Island to involuntarily tremble.

Even Devil Bear, Ghost Leopard, Giant Rhino, Demon Wolf, Sea Dragon, and Seawitch—the six Titled Douluo—were no exception. Their Spirits recoiled in fear.

This was because such a voice could only be emitted by a Peak Douluo at or above Level 97, and it seemed there was more than one.

Upon hearing this voice, the Spirit Masters of Sea God Island suddenly looked up, their eyes filled with solemnity.

And those belonging to Spirit Hall also instinctively turned their heads, gazing into the sky.

A low booming sound erupted, and two rays of light, one azure and one golden, rapidly swept over, arriving in an instant.

They landed on the churning water between the Spirit Hall fleet and the Sea God Island shore, revealing two tall, imposing figures.

One of them appeared to be around thirty or forty years old, with dark blue short hair and smoky blue eyes, sharp eyebrows, and handsome features. He wore a green High Priest robe, golden armor, and blue feathers adorned his shoulder pads.

The other person appeared significantly older, with golden short hair and a curly beard, and a face that resembled a lion, exuding an overwhelming, aggressive aura.

"It's the Third High Priest... and the Fourth High Priest!"

Recognizing the newcomers, all Spirit Hall Spirit Masters, including Bibi Dong and the four Titled Douluo Elders—except for Yu Xiaogang, who was still hiding in the cabin—simultaneously knelt on one knee.
