Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 – The Reincarnator Who Walked Into the Trap

"I believe that in the end, you will be the ultimate winner."

Alex Lin said with a meaningful smile.

"Wu Ge… it's been a long time."

"What were you thinking? Instead of digging graves and raiding tombs, you actually came to my place?"

"I will definitely take good care of you."

The interviewee, Wu Ge, stared at Alex Lin with flickering eyes. Beneath that calm surface hid an ocean of hatred.

"Alex Lin… it really has been a long time."

"This time, it won't be me going to prison… it will be you."

Wu Ge was a reincarnator.

Before being reborn, he had possessed the Yin-Yang Feng Shui Secrets passed down through his family — in other words, a tomb-raiding manual that allowed him to locate and plunder ancient graves. With those abilities and his antique business, he had once lived extremely well.

Until he met Alex Lin.

One day, he went to his own antique shop to buy some goods. His so-called brother, Wang Pangzi, saw an opportunity and tried to sell him a fake item.

But Alex Lin was ruthless.

Without saying a word, he went straight to the police and had the shop searched. They discovered countless stolen relics. In the end, both Wu Ge and Wang Pangzi were sentenced to three years in prison, and every bit of their wealth was confiscated.

From that moment on, they became sworn enemies.

Yet no matter what methods Wu Ge used afterward, he was never able to defeat Alex Lin.

The other side was powerful in every aspect — money, connections, intelligence — almost flawless.

What enraged him the most was this: every time Wu Ge went tomb-raiding to survive, Alex Lin somehow always knew their exact location and tipped off the authorities.

No matter how well they hid, they could never escape.

Every time they crawled out of a tomb, they were immediately dragged away in handcuffs.

The dangers inside the tombs couldn't kill him… but Alex Lin did something worse.

Half of Wu Ge's life was spent behind bars.

His entire future was destroyed.

That was why his hatred toward the man before him had reached its peak.

Now, reborn with a second chance, Wu Ge swore he would never let go of this grudge.

When he saw the recruitment notice, he rushed over without hesitation. If he could enter Alex Lin's company, he could hide by his side… and wait for the perfect moment to strike.

Because of his low education, he could only apply for a janitor position.

But even that was brutal.

Surrounded by elites and degree holders, he nearly despaired. Even a janitor job had dozens of competitors.

Where was the justice in that?

Yet in the end… a miracle happened.

He won.

"Alex Lin… I am the true protagonist," Wu Ge sneered inwardly. "I can be reborn even after death. Even the heavens are helping me. Let's see how long you survive."

But he quickly calmed himself.

"Not yet. I'll only be satisfied after I completely destroy you."

He quietly returned to his place, waiting for the final results.

Alex Lin continued testing the remaining applicants.

Because of Wu Ge's sudden arrival — like Cheng Yaojin crashing into the battlefield — everyone felt intense pressure and desperately tried to perform.

Some ended up injured.

Some broke down crying.

Some were sent straight to the hospital.

Alex Lin sighed.

"All this just for a janitor position… is it really worth it?"

In the end, the final winner was obvious.

Alex Lin smiled.

"Only two people passed the test. But young man, you lasted the longest. Therefore, I'll assign you to the janitor position."

"Boss Lin, rest assured. I will work hard!" Wu Ge stood straight, suppressing his excitement.

This was only a small step — but it was the first step on his road to revenge.

"Alex Lin… just wait. I'll make you suffer a hundredfold… a thousandfold."

"I admire young people like you," Alex Lin said with a smile, patting his shoulder.

Then he waved his hand.

A chubby middle-aged woman carrying a broom walked in.

"Boss Lin, you called for me?" she asked.

"Wu Ge, let me introduce someone to you," Alex Lin said. "This is your direct supervisor. Her name is Liu Xiu. She's been in charge of janitorial work here for three years — diligent, serious, and experienced. From today on, she'll be your mentor. Call her Mom."

Wu Ge froze. "Huh?"

"Ah—sorry, I misspoke!" Alex Lin coughed. "Call her Auntie Liu."

"Auntie Liu, this is Wu Ge, the janitor I just hired. He's young, inexperienced, but very strong. Feel free to assign him any heavy work."

"I see," Auntie Liu smiled brightly. "Hello, young man!"

"H-Hello," Wu Ge replied.

"My, my… he's quite handsome. He even looks like my husband who passed away years ago," Auntie Liu said fondly.

Wu Ge's scalp tingled.

What kind of comparison was that?

"Young man," Auntie Liu asked, "are you married? Do you have a girlfriend?"

Alex Lin burst out laughing. "Auntie Liu, did you see him and immediately think of finding a son-in-law for your daughter?"

"I don't have a daughter," Auntie Liu said in confusion. "Why would I look for a son-in-law?"

"Then you mean—" Alex Lin suddenly stopped.

Wu Ge felt a chill crawl down his spine.

Something about this place was very, very wrong.
