A deep exhale left Ryan's lips. He felt his eyes sting. 'You don't deserve life' kept ringing in his ears. When would he stop hearing those words? He had been hearing those words from when he started understanding words that people say. That should be at the age of two. And up till now, people still say those words to him. He was just helping. Yes, he went too far. He shouldn't have killed the boy's parents but... They were hurting him. And he was hurting too....more terribly.
"My mother...." Seo In Gang's voice came "She suffered a disease in her brain that made her act violently. She would vent all her pain on me when it gets triggered. All I had to do was endure, hoping it would end soon. My father... he was just depressed that...his lovely wife would die soon and he didn't have the money for her surgery. He felt losing her was the end of life for him. He needed money badly. And so that day he came home drunk. Only to vent his depression on me again. I was patient with them. Knowing they didn't mean to hurt me. I only cried for help because I needed someone to save me at that moment. But you showed up like the monster you are and murdered by loving parents. You expect me to say you were just helping me? You expect me to be happy and say you ended the suffering I had no idea of when it would end? No. I swore to kill you, to destroy you. I won't stop until I do that"
Ryan stared, and then he bursted into laughter. He laughed, throwing his head back and everyone gazed at him with creased brows. "Pathetic" he said and stopped laughing "What were you expecting? He would hug you tight and say thank you? Delusional" he was just talking to himself. And then he faced him.
"Listen kid" he took in air "First, I'll say I'm sorry. But...I don't regret my actions. I only became what you called me. A monster. I don't understand the pain of losing a loved one. Because everyone I knew only cursed at me. I was just a monster in their eyes, unworthy of life. Hated by all, and cursed to die. Felt deeper pain of others and helped them, protect them, only to be repayed by what? Curses. 'You don't deserve life' 'You deserve to die'.... Those are words fed to me everyday. If you were in my place, what would have done? You're depressed and always wished to die, longing for death everyday and saving humans like a slave meant to serve them for eternity. And all they could do was to be ungrateful and curse you over again. What would you have done if you were in place?" he demanded. Everyone just stared at him, wondering what he meant but Leonel understood. His eyes were getting misted as be recalled those days when Ryan was nothing but a dead soul.
"I don't regret what I did. But I'm sorry. I acted out of reflex and prolonged pain. And I really hate when I'm called a monster. When everyone tells me I don't deserve life. I'm a person too like everyone. I too deserved to be loved" he took a deep breath and forced the tears that misted his eyes, back in. "I don't want you to forgive me. But I'll still save you again if you ever need it, because it hurts me." he took in air again "I probably can't compensate you for killing them. You can tell me what you want. I'll see if I can do it"
He scoffed, wiping the tears that threatened to roll down his eyes. His throat felt tight and his lips trembled slightly. "You want me to ask for something?" he chuckled, lifting his eyes to him. "Okay, I'll ask. Your company...I want it. Everything that you own. And your mistress is not an exception" Ryan frowned at the mention of his girlfriend. "I heard she's a Jade beauty. She would make a good bed warmer" he smirked, seeing he was getting on Ryan's nerves. Ryan's blood boiled, his eyes blazed. A woman he hasn't even touched, you want to make her your bed warmer? His bride...his mate...your bed warmer?! His claws bore into his palm, blood dripping from his hands. Leonel held his hand and rubbed it gently. He looked at Leonel, his eyes said to hold back.
"I see you like your mistress. She's a loved one so maybe I should kill her after having my way with her. I wonder how you'll look when you see her dead body" he flashed a sinister smile. Ryan almost turned in, if not for Leonel who held his hand tightly.
"Right?" he asked no one in particular.
"Yes, yes" Ji Kang woo butted in "A murderer like him should have no one. You deserve no one, only to rot in hell" he spat. And the last straw was broken. Ryan looked at him, eyes burning molten gold.
"Gosh!" Ji Kang woo shuddered in his seat "W-what happened to your eyes" Ryan stared hard at him, the words kept ringing. His fangs grew, his skin went pale, toned and scarred.
"Young master, control yourself" Leonel felt horrified.
Ryan stood up, keeping his gaze on him. He shuddered crawling back on his seat. "I said I hated those words. Did you wanted to see what I'll do?" he grabbed the man by the collar, lifting him up from the chair like a piece of paper. Seo In Gang stared with wide eyes. Who is this man? He wondered. Fear gripping his body but he maintained his cool.
"What are you going to do?" He still had the mouth to speak "Kill me? Go on. That's the only thing you're good at"
With reddened eyes having tears in them, his clawed hand wrapped around Ji Kang woo's neck, his hold tightened, his claws piercing through.
"Young master" Leonel called.
"Ah...s-stop" Ji Kang woo choked out, and Seo In Gang, he just sat there.
"Sigh.... Killing him puts your mistress at more risk you know" he spoke nonchalantly "Her organs can be of good use after I kill her. What do you say?" Hearing his girlfriend's name again, he flung the man in his grasp, a large thud was heard, following by a gasp from Seo In Gang. He winced as he felt something sharp pierced through his chest.
"Seo In Gang...." Ryan drawled darkly with a smirk "Do you know Wolves are overly protective of their mate? What would you say about a person like me? The one you call a monster..." Seo In Gang stared. He had always called him a monster, who would have thought he was the devil.
"Ah..." He winced again as Ryan pushed his claws deeper.
"Let me warn you... No matter how you hate me, you should never speak of my woman. She is mine. Mine to have alone. And when her life gets threatened, I don't hesitate to kill whoever it is that threatens it. I could rip out your heart and feed it to dogs, and leave your carcass for the crows to feed on. My woman... isn't someone you should mess with. Are we clear?" he spoke, and then pulled out his claws.
"Argh!" Seo in gang groaned as blood streamed firm his chest. Leonel on the other side heaved a long sigh. Who have thought they came here to murder and leave?
"Erase his memories" he heard Ryan speak, and just like that he walked out.
