Chapter 60 - Black Party Mission (2)

Wearing the headset, Amamiya Yuki listened as Bourbon and Ireland easily entered the place where Vermouth went missing.

She held an indifferent face and calmly followed Gin.

Knowing how important Vermouth is, Gin actually only assigned Bourbon and Irish Whiskey to pick her up. How stingy.

Even the backup one was her.

Amamiya Yuki waited calmly in her sniping spot while looking at the barrage.

The camera was following Bourbon right now.

[Toru and Irish Whiskey are going inside the laboratory]

[Tsk, building laboratory inside the doll factory… I really couldn't think how they managed to do it]

[Eh, it might not be that difficult.]

[Hmm, we can just follow Toru? How about Gin?]

[Ugh, seeing their mission involving killing, no wonder the live broadcast today is rated PG 13]

Watching Irish Whiskey expressionlessly snap the neck of a patrolling security guard, Amuro Toru felt that there would be a lot of deaths today.

"Where to next?" Noticing Bourbon's undisguised scrutinizing gaze, Irish Whiskey didn't react much.

They circled the spot several times, but couldn't find Vermouth. They searched the location thoroughly, both up and down, but to no avail.

Amuro Toru pointed to the room on the left, the place where the security guard had suddenly appeared, and whispered, "If I'm not mistaken, there's something else going on inside."

Irish Whiskey chose to trust the intelligence team's intuition.

Sure enough, after a search, they found a hidden door behind a locker.

It was locked.

Not an ordinary lock but a fingerprint lock.

"Gin, get someone to unlock it," Amuro Toru called for help in the public chat. The intelligence team's role was limited in this impromptu operation. They were all thrown in without any prior investigation.

"Five minutes," Gin said.

With remote assistance from the logistics technicians, the door opened quickly. Amuro Tooru and Irish Whiskey exchanged a glance and carefully entered the dimly lit inner room.

Inside the room, they quickly found a person lying on the ground.

It was Vermouth!

She was unconscious but still breathing as they could faintly see her chest going up and down.

"Ha, this woman's finally got what she deserves." Irish Whiskey roughly lifted Vermouth up and turned to Amuro Toru, saying, "Let's go, Bourbon."

"Wait!" A red light seemed to flash across the ceiling, and Amuro Toru quickly called out, trying to stop Irish Whiskey from leaving.

But it was too late!

In an instant, the lights blared, and a series of rhythmic alarms echoed throughout the research institute.

It was chaotic instantly.

Amamiya Yuki also saw several people coming over in Gin's directions and she could only focus and started to shoot them.

'Tsk.'

Bang!

At this moment, Amuro Toru keenly noticed the door they were coming from was closing. Without hesitation, he pulled Irish Whiskey out as fast as possible.

The three of them reached the other side safely just before the door was closed.

"Bourbon, you're not bad." Irish Whiskey put Vermouth down and said to Amuro Toru with relief.

They were almost locked inside that room and getting trapped.

"Heh, if anything happens to you two, I'll be in big trouble. Be careful, don't make things worse." A very suitable Bourbon reply came from Amuro Toru.

On the public channel, Gin's side was in complete chaos, but their side was alright; no one had come yet.

At this moment, Vermouth slowly woke up, clutching her head.

"Irish? Bourbon?" Vermouth instinctively called out the code names of the two men in front of her.

"No time for your nonsense. Now that you're awake, get up. I don't want you to be a burden on our way out," Irish Whiskey said irritably.

Her head was spinning, and she felt extremely uncomfortable. Vermouth frowned, struggling to her feet.

"Notify Gin, it's a trap! The target isn't here at all!" She quickly recounted what had happened before she lost consciousness.

Knowing that the research institute beneath her might hold something the boss was interested in, she used her superb disguise skills, as she had countless times before, to infiltrate and easily obtain information. But the moment she transmitted the message, the room was locked and then sleeping gas spread out.

She fell unconscious inside.

Gin seemed to say something in the public channel, probably cursing whoever gave them the information.

"We need to get out." Vermouth saw the room and her body tensed up. She didn't want to experience another dose of sleeping gas.

Bourbon and Irish Whiskey also understood the grave situation and quickly tried to figure out a way out.

Their communication channel was chaotic with screams and gunshots could be heard from time to time.

[Top bad we couldn't see what happened on Gin side]

[I think it's for the best. I don't really want to see him killing people like killing chicken]

[... let's not talk about chicken here. It feels weird.]

[How are Vermouth and the others going to get out now?]

[AHH, how should I know?]

Sake was outside, hitting a few people and then told Gin that the rest were too far away and not convenient for her to shoot.

"Then get those three out of the lab!" Gin yelled.

Sake, Amamiya Yuki, was speechless.

She's just a sniper, not a prophet!

She didn't know the entire operation within the factory.

Her temple throbbed as she moved her sniper rifle towards the doll factory in the distance. She knew the layout well, but a bullet wouldn't be able to get them all out.

Hmm… a bullet?

Amamiya Yuki was troubled and then she saw some people coming over, so she swiftly aimed her gun in their direction.

'Sorry.'

Bang! Bang! Bang!

With most people were encircling Gin, only a small number of people could rush in Vermouth's directions. After she killed three people, the rest noticed her position and naturally took cover.

Amamiya Yuki never liked to stay in the same place for long.

After all, if her position is revealed, her threat wouldn't be that effective.

'Tsk. I'll move first.'

Carrying the sniper rifle, Amamiya Yuki ran to the edge and jumped down to the next building. This building is shorter, but she should be able to continue providing cover.

Oh wait, she needed to change the magazine.

Bang!

At this moment, Bourbon and Vermouth managed to open the door and rushed out, only to be greeted by the sight of people coming to kill them.

"Tch—we haven't left and now a bunch of annoying little bugs have appeared. What are you doing, Gin?" Vermouth quickly took out a gun, ready to fight but she was really annoyed.

Having just woken up, her fighting strength was definitely not as strong as usual.

"Troublesome woman!" Irish Whiskey also realized this and preemptively criticized her.

Vermouth, not to be outdone, exchanged insults with him.

Amuro Toru's forehead veins bulged. The enemy hadn't come empty-handed; everyone was armed.

"Shut up! Get some cover!" He yelled, shoving both of them hard.

Damn, this is exhausting!

Gin's a lunatic, sending Irish Whiskey to rescue Vermouth!

She was also present at the place where Pisco died, making Irish Whiskey hate her too.

They haven't even eliminated the enemy yet, and they're already fighting amongst themselves!

A fierce battle quickly ensued, the gunfire relentless. Amuro Tooru replaced his empty magazine, his heart heavy.

The enemies were organized. And under their suppressive fire, their space to struggle was extremely limited. If this continued, they would end up dead first.

"Damn it, Gin! Why can't you get here?" Irish Whiskey was cursing.

But it was obvious from their public channel that Gin was still in a fierce battle on his own side. He had no time to take care of them.
