There are many extraordinary powers across Teyvat.
Visions, Delusions, and even divine blessings such as the power Venti once granted to Dvalin, Guardian of the Four Winds.
Some of these powers are strong, some come with side effects — but none can grant true immortality.
As long as mortals can still feel the pain of parting and the fear of death, they will always long for eternal life.
[Baizhu]: ??? Wait… can that Immortal Scripture really be cultivated?! (Paimon: shocked)
[Kaeya]: Bro, what are you saying? Are you doubting the video—or doubting our Great Taixuan Sect Master?! (Raiden Shogun: menacing)
[Venti]: The Cavalry Captain has officially become the Sect Master's number one fanboy. (Hu Tao: grinning)
[Kaeya]: Fanboy? No, no, call me Disciple Candidate of the Great Taixuan Sect! Praise be to the glorious Sect Master! He is the one who brought light to a dark world, gave mortals hope, and offered them the path to eternal life! The more I think about it, the greater he becomes~! (Thoma: kneels)
[Gu Chen]: …Nice.
[Paimon]: (Paimon: shocked)
[Furina]: Congratulations, Gu Chen—looks like you just picked up a follower. (Venti: throws confetti)
[Diluc]: Kaeya, you're starting to scare me.
[Kaeya]: What, because cultivating the Scripture made me even more handsome? (smirks)
[Venti]: If shamelessness were a contest, Kaeya would take second. I'd probably be stuck in third. (laughs)
[Diluc]: At least you two are self-aware.
[Kaeya]: But seriously—this is just the beginner section. It doesn't grant much power, but it strengthens the body, cures all illness, and extends life! And the difficulty's not high; even ordinary people could learn it in a few years. Just this entry-level Scripture alone is a blessing for the entire world! From that perspective, well… you can draw your own conclusions.
[Venti]: @[Gu Chen] Brother Gu! I'm kneeling! Let me kowtow to you!
[Dvalin]: I was about to roast Venti, but come to think of it, the Sect Master really is blessing the world with this one. I'll kneel too!
[Xingqiu]: For teaching the Way, the Sect Master deserves this disciple's bow!
[Chongyun]: I don't get what's going on, but everyone else is kneeling, so… me too! (Paimon: shocked)
[Hu Tao]: Ugh.
[Hu Tao]: I feel awful!!!
[Furina]: What's wrong? Don't tell me you don't understand it either. (Faruzan: welcoming the newbie)
[Hu Tao]: It's not that! Isn't life and death something all mortals must face? If people truly achieve immortality, wouldn't that break the natural order?! (Hu Tao: horrified)
[Gu Chen]: We cultivators live to defy heaven itself! (grins)
[Kaeya]: Exactly! Who said humans must die? We're fighting precisely for eternal life! The gods live for millennia—why can't we? (Hu Tao: startled)
[Hu Tao]: That's exactly why I'm upset!!
[Furina]: Or maybe… Hu Tao's just worried that if everyone lives forever, she'll lose all her customers? (Kokomi: pondering)
[Kaeya]: Hu Tao, your intentions are vile. (laughs)
[Venti]: Off with her head! (laughs)
[Hu Tao]: Hey! I may love my business, but I'm not that greedy! (Qiqi: faints)
[Zhongli]: Logically speaking, the Hall Master's worldview is merely shaken. Given time, she'll come to understand. Besides… immortality isn't always a blessing.
[Kaeya]: You mean that "erosion" thing you mentioned before? (thinking)
[Zhongli]: Indeed. The longer one exists, the more erosion one suffers. Even the toughest soul becomes riddled with cracks, memories fading into dust. It is a dreadful fate.
[Azhdaha]: Hmph, I doubt you. You're just afraid someone might gain the power to overthrow you.
[Zhongli]: …A textbook example of erosion.
[Azhdaha]: ?!
[Ganyu]: In the beginning, Lord Azhdaha was Geo Archon's closest friend. But after millennia of erosion, he forgot everything—and came to believe Morax betrayed and sealed him. (Qiqi: toppled over)
[Tighnari]: So living too long really isn't a good thing after all.
[Azhdaha]: Strongly agree! So, @[Zhongli]—you've lived six thousand years. When are you dying? Still sitting here spreading nonsense and corrupting my will! (picks nose)
[Kaeya]: Wow. So erosion's really scary. But hey—why not ask the almighty Taixuan Sect Master himself? @[Gu Chen]
[Gu Chen]: What's up?
[Venti]: Have you ever suffered erosion? (curious)
[Gu Chen]: Are you crazy? Everyone knows I just descended into Teyvat. Where would erosion even come from? (smirks)
[Kaeya]: Lies! All lies! (laughs)
[Gu Chen]: Doesn't matter. When your strength's high enough, erosion simply doesn't exist. (grins)
[Zhongli]: ???
[Raiden Shogun]: (confused)
[Venti]: Bro… for real?!
[Gu Chen]: Absolutely. (certain)
The stronger one's power, the sharper one's perception becomes.
And Gu Chen—so far—had never felt any so-called erosion at all.
If time is a flowing stream and the soul is a stone, then the gods are stones being endlessly worn down by the water.
Gu Chen is also in the stream—
but unlike the others, the current cannot touch him.
If he wished, he could even leap onto the riverbank and watch the flow from above.
In short, if your strength is absolute, erosion cannot reach you.
[Raiden Shogun]: I understand! Then I'll start cultivating right now! (nods firmly)
[Venti]: Brothers, charge! The Sect Master's words hold profound meaning—immortality lies right ahead! (Klee: Charge!)
[Ningguang]: Speaking of which, can anyone with talent cultivate this immortal art?
[Heizou]: Caught you not paying attention! There was a brief detail in the video—those with impure hearts can't truly cultivate it. Even if they understand the text, it'll cause inner conflict. Either purify yourself, or give up!
[Ningguang]: I was dealing with work and missed that part. In that case, I'm relieved.
[Tartaglia]: @[Ningguang] I'm requesting leave! I need to test if I can become an immortal! (Klee: please!)
[Ningguang]: Approved.
If the entry chapter is that miraculous, it can indeed serve to screen out those with corrupt hearts.
"The Sect Master truly plans ahead," Ningguang sighed.
[Furina]: Wait! Are you saying I have an impure heart?! Why can't I understand the beginner section?! (Ganyu: frustrated)
[Gu Chen]: Maybe… you're just too pure-hearted? (Keqing: skeptical)
Too pure-hearted?
That… was just a polite way of calling her stupid, wasn't it?!
Furina puffed up, sulking.
Even the famously scatterbrained Raiden Shogun had learned it—how could she not?
No way she was admitting to being dumb!
[Furina]: Fine! I admit it. My heart isn't pure!
[Venti]: (Hu Tao: evil grin)
[Kaeya]: Such a pity. Unless you fix it soon, you'll never receive the teachings of our great Sect Master. (laughs)
Furina bristled.
She refused to believe that the Hydro Archon herself couldn't master a mere beginner's Scripture!
Meanwhile, Guizhong's talent shone ever brighter.
Gu Chen had passed on techniques such as Cloud-Riding and Mist-Treading to her, and after a short period of study, she'd mastered them flawlessly.
Though not strong in battle, Guizhong was remarkably intelligent.
Within a few short years, her grasp of cultivation far surpassed that of mortals who'd started at the same time.
Even Liuyun Borrowing the Wind, one of the earliest adepts under Gu Chen, could only sigh in admiration at her genius.
"My Lord Sect Master," Guizhong said one day,
"Most of our disciples can already fly their swords. Isn't it time?"
Gu Chen stood upon a cliff, gazing down at the Taixuan Sect.
Through the clouds and mist, countless figures in sect robes flew gracefully on swords—their bearing already touched with immortal air.
"They're still a little green," Gu Chen said softly, "but it's enough. Let the world know of the Taixuan Sect."
He turned, voice calm yet firm.
"If we're to compete—then the Taixuan Sect shall compete! Let's show them."
Soon after, eight hundred disciples stood ready to depart.
Their mission: to proclaim the existence of the Taixuan Sect and to teach struggling mortals how to cultivate, thrive, and live better lives.
[Kaeya]:Sword flight! That's so cool! I have to learn that! (excited)
[Venti]: It's only been a few years, yet they've completely transcended humanity! Their energy, their spirit—they're practically immortal now! Even if they can't slay a beast, they could easily fly away from danger. Incredible! (shocked)
[Arataki Itto]: Sooo coooool!!
[Kaeya]: Under the Great Sect Master's leadership, every disciple of the Taixuan Sect shall become a dragon among men! It's natural! It's destiny!
[Paimon]: First it was Nilou—the number-one Gu Chen fangirl and CP shipper—and now there's Kaeya, the number-one male fanboy… (sighs)
[Nilou]: (Nilou: pops up, giggling) Hehehe~
[Kaeya]: Paimon, you're too young to understand! Once you see the Sect Master's grand vision, once you glimpse his future achievements—you'll worship him too! (nods proudly)
[Xingqiu]: I think I'm starting to understand the Sect Master's plan. He trains one generation to guide the next, building a pyramid of knowledge. Each generation teaches the next and refines their own understanding in the process—reviewing while teaching. Brilliant! (admiration)
[Ganyu]: Huh? Someone just reached one of the settlements once protected by the Geo Archon!
In the video:
A young man in a long robe and sword on his back arrives at a human settlement.
"I heard this land lies under the rule of the Geo Archon, Morax," he murmured. "I wonder if he's approachable…"
The youth stepped into the city.
Though human, he carried an aura like a drawn blade—sharp, restrained, and utterly unlike ordinary men.
He immediately drew attention.
"You give this immortal the sense of a non-human being… Yet you are human. Curious."
Before him appeared a massive brown-feathered crane—an adeptus the size of a house—staring down with palpable pressure.
"Outer disciple of the Taixuan Sect, Xiao Yan. May I know your name, senior?" the youth cupped his fists.
"You may call this immortal Lishui Dieshan Zhenjun."
"An adeptus?" Xiao Yan blinked, expression turning oddly complicated.
[Venti]: I can read that look—it's totally "This counts as an immortal?" (laughs)
[Lishui Dieshan Zhenjun]: I feel attacked… (Qiqi: faints)
[Moon Carver]: Thank goodness it wasn't me. (sweats)
"What is it?" Lishui asked, puzzled by his expression.
"Nothing, senior. Might you introduce me to your Archon, Lord Morax?"
"Coincidence. You're strange enough that I was planning to bring you before him anyway. Follow me."
Under her guidance, Xiao Yan soon met a hooded, white-robed youth—clearly not human.
After a brief exchange, Xiao Yan said,
"I've come by order of my Sect Master, to share knowledge among the people. I ask only that you grant me leave to do so."
"What kind of knowledge?" asked Morax.
"Farming, weaving, smelting—since food is the people's heaven, those are primary. But also the wisdom of the sages, and the laws of heaven and earth."
"So much?" Morax was astonished.
"Naturally. The Taixuan Sect's knowledge is boundless." Xiao Yan smiled faintly.
"What kind of man is your Sect Master?" Morax asked, curiosity piqued.
Xiao Yan paused, then said slowly,
"I do not know what manner of being the Sect Master truly is—but I know this: he brings hope to humanity. He gives mortals a chance to stand beside the gods. In this age of chaos, he grants them the power to survive.
The Sect Master once said: He came to this world to teach mankind knowledge, to bestow strength, to ignite the flame of civilization, and to establish everlasting peace!"
"What?!"
"Such ambition!"
The gathered adepti were stunned.
Even Morax's eyes flickered with admiration.
"I would very much like to meet your Sect Master," he said. "It seems we may have much to discuss."
"If you are interested, Your Grace, you are welcome to visit him," Xiao Yan replied.
Morax nodded thoughtfully.
"And this power you wield—your Sect Master taught it as well?"
"Of course." Xiao Yan lifted his chin with pride.
"In just three years, I've risen from an ordinary mortal to one who can face beasts without fear. Give me time, and I swear—I will stand alongside the Archons… or even surpass them!"
His words left Morax and the adepti in utter silence.
"The Taixuan Sect is… extraordinary," murmured Lishui Dieshan Zhenjun, still dazed.
"Then do as you wish," said Morax. "All adepti, grant him passage."
"Thank you, Your Grace," Xiao Yan bowed.
"If it is for the good of mankind, there's no need for courtesy," Morax said, then added, "Where is your Taixuan Sect located? I shall pay a visit myself."
Xiao Yan, as though expecting the question, drew a map from his robes.
"Here."
Morax studied it and nodded.
"Perfect. I have no pressing matters—then I shall depart at once to visit this Taixuan Sect Master!"
