Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

When Mo Fan descended, he saw the other's shouts and recalled the scenes from his memories. To be honest, reason told him that it wasn't appropriate to confront Mu Zhuoyun head-on before he had fully matured.

But the pent-up anger within him, along with the untamed spirit of this young man, made him feel that this old guy wouldn't be happy unless he gave him a piece of his mind!

Moreover, with Principal Zhu, Teacher Tang Yue, and the school board member Deng Kai, Mu Zhuoyun couldn't do anything to him right now.

While he pondered, he arrived in front of Mu Zhuoyun.

His gaze immediately settled on Mu Ningxue's cold, pretty face.

Mu Ningxue was also looking at Mo Fan, somewhat surprised. This magic school, which required selling houses to get into, she had assumed Mo Fan was just wasting his time. She hadn't expected him to have such talent for cultivation!

  "Ahem!" Mu Zhuoyun coughed.

Hearing this, Mu Ningxue, not wanting to cause trouble for Mo Fan, immediately looked away.

Although Mo Fan didn't want to look away from Mu Zhuoyun's face, he couldn't help but turn back to look at him.

  "What do you want?"

In front of others, Mu Zhuoyun possessed a kingly majesty, making many juniors afraid to even breathe loudly in his presence. But for Mo Fan, especially someone with an understanding of this world, he was even less of a threat.

In Bo City, he was considered a prominent family. But in the country, he was just a small clan.

He didn't have any overwhelming power, and his influence was only directed at ordinary people.

"Our Mu family recently acquired some fire-type cultivation resources, but unfortunately, almost everyone in the manor is ice-type. Your fire-type talent is quite good, and your cultivation level has surprised us. So I plan to give you these resources. From now on, besides attending regular classes, you can cultivate with Mu Jiangming and the others." Mu Zhuoyun didn't seem to care about Mo Fan's tone, instead stroking his beard with a condescending air.

To be honest, for Mu Zhuoyun, this was a form of support for Mo Fan. To receive his support, Mo Fan considered himself quite lucky.

But for Mo Fan, these words were truly grating!

"Mo Fan, what are you standing there for? Quickly thank Master Mu for his favor," the homeroom teacher, Xue Musheng, hurriedly said to Mo Fan.

"No, Mu Zhuoyun, are you out of your mind?"

"What did you say?" Mu Zhuoyun's face was full of confusion; he hadn't heard what the kid said.

"I said, are you out of your mind?!" Mo Fan repeated his words clearly.

Everyone heard this sentence perfectly, yet everyone's expressions were utterly chaotic.

Mu Zhuoyun, as the local tyrant of Bo City, who wouldn't treat him with utmost respect?

Yet, Mo Fan, a student, and the son of a former driver for the Mu family,

  was openly provoking him here?!

Mu Zhuoyun had heard clearly. He blew his beard hard and said with a hint of anger, "You'd better have a perfect explanation for your next sentence, otherwise..."

"You don't need to pretend to be so righteous as if you didn't suppress my family three years ago. I, Mo Fan, am not a stupid dog who will be loyal to you after you slap me and give me some sweetness." After venting his resentment, Mo Fan found that he felt much better.

It was a strange feeling, as if it came from Mo Fan's original 'resentment'?

And as he finished venting his anger on Mu Zhuoyun, from that moment on, he seemed to experience a fusion of thoughts; he was completely himself.

Mo Fan felt relieved, but Principal Zhu and the others were all numb on the face. Mu Zhuoyun himself, his face was extremely gloomy! Even

his chilling aura began to fluctuate, and ice began to spread on the ground; this old geezer had already made his move.

Mu Zhuoyun was naturally furious. For countless years, no one had dared to speak to him like this. Calling him the local tyrant of Bo City wouldn't be an exaggeration. The high-ranking officials among his peers—the principal of the magic school, the high-ranking members of the magic association, Deng Kai of the Hunter's Alliance—all treated him with utmost respect. The younger generation of the entire manor couldn't even breathe properly in his presence. Yet, who would have thought that today Mo Fan would point his finger at him and curse him like that!?

"Zhuo Yun, control your emotions. This is a school, and there are many students who don't even have defensive abilities." Deng Kai, the school board member from the Hunter Alliance, suddenly stepped forward, blocking Mu Zhuo Yun and Mo Fan.

With Deng Kai's obstruction, Mu Zhuo Yun, though furious, could only suppress his anger.

Teacher Tang Yue also stepped forward at this moment.

Sure enough, as expected, nothing unexpected happened.

And then, without any surprises, Mu Zhuo Yun declared that Mo Fan would fight at Yu Ang's coming-of-age ceremony. Mo Fan agreed without hesitation.

Rationality aside, having this opportunity was equivalent to having access to the Earthly Sacred Spring!

  The storm finally subsided.

The whole class looked at Mo Fan, recalling his actions, completely at a loss for words. To many, Mo Fan seemed like a madman, going head-to-head with the Mu family. Any member of a powerful magical family could easily crush Tianlan Magic High School.

Even if Mo Fan was exceptionally gifted, it was important to understand that cultivation was increasingly difficult to improve. Moreover, cultivation alone wasn't enough; magical tools and artifacts were also needed—things Mo Fan clearly couldn't possess.

  How could he possibly compete?

But Mo Fan didn't seem to care about the current situation. After all, he was the enhanced version!

When the annual assessment results came out, Mo Fan unsurprisingly came in first place.

However, he wasn't particularly concerned and remained focused on his cultivation. He also knew that neither his father, Mo Jiaxing, nor Xin Xia had suffered any harm.

Mu Zhuoyun hadn't made a move, and frankly, Deng Kai and the others were also watching him.

After all, Mo Fan was now a member of the elite class.

The elite class only had one hundred students, and these one hundred students had access to large classrooms and large training grounds. Those who made it to the elite class had basically mastered seven stars, but some weren't quite proficient in releasing them.

The practical classes were still taught by Teacher Tang Yue, a new practical teacher whose cultivation was said to surpass any other practical teacher in the entire school. Even though she had only been at the school for less than six months, she was the one who should teach the practical classes for the elite class.

The class teacher for the elite class was still Xue Musheng. He was somewhat fortunate; if it weren't for Mo Fan and Mu Bai being both S-rank, he might still be in the beginner class.

Of course, Xue Musheng was still quite troubled by Mo Fan, after all, Mo Fan had publicly confronted the local tyrant of Bo City

. However, it wasn't until a month had passed and no one was causing him any trouble that he finally relaxed a bit. A month later was the day the resources would be distributed.

Even Mo Fan was quite excited today because his little mudskipper was finally able to grow a bit!

When Xue Musheng gave him the Stardust Magic Artifact, he also mentioned that the number of days he could use it had been reduced. Mo Fan didn't pay any attention, just nodded repeatedly. The little mudskipper in his arms seemed to know that food had arrived, and it had already jumped up excitedly.
