Chapter 4 - Bad Decisions

Well… the day of the party finally came. And officially, I hate my Greek impulses.

It was the weekend —

the only day I could relax without running from Rogue.

Honestly, I'm irritated that the Greeks have such strong mating instincts.

Now I can't even judge the Greek gods properly… but I kind of am.

"Well, nothing I can do about it," I muttered, putting on my best outfit and heading out.

"Are you sure?" Mystique asked, her expression complicated. "You really touched him and nothing happened?"

"Yes!" Rogue said, excited. "At first, I thought it was my imagination. But then I touched him again and—nothing! Just the wonderful warmth of human contact!"

Her eyes filled with tears of joy, and she wiped them away like a child.

"Have you ever seen someone like that?" Rogue asked hopefully. "Someone immune to powers?"

Mystique's face twisted into something unreadable. "Yes… but you wouldn't want to meet that monster."

She went silent for a few seconds, clearly troubled, before asking, "Has he shown interest in anyone? Someone special?"

Rogue frowned. "Every woman he meets," she grumbled, remembering that annoying detail.

Why, of all people, was the only one who could touch her a perverted flirt?

Mystique narrowed her eyes. "He hasn't shown any interest in the X-Men? Not even Kurt Wagner?"

"As far as I know, he's not into any man but himself," Rogue said, puzzled. "Why? Do you know something?"

"Nothing important. Go back to what you were doing," Mystique replied, shaking her head.

Then she shifted, transforming into a typical blonde girl in a short dress, and walked away.
