I walked over to the plush office chair I was so familiar with , it's back facing the window, exactly how I left it 5 years ago. It was spotless , I knew deep down the housekeepers worked extra careful not to move anything. Not because I was fussy. But because everything I leave halfway I always leave myself clues when I come back to it. Sort of like a map. I scan my desk. Files, a lot of files. "Fuck , I really am a special kind of animal", I muttered to myself. Majority of the files were the gory murders that occurred in the last 5 years. Well technically ,I'm not really a detective, but my family's involvement in these murders were needed.
These murders weren't off human causes. These were beasts born from the blood of the devil incarnate. The demon who has was powerful as Satan himself. Pathion.
Pathion is a demon who held as much control over human and demons, as Satan himself. Although I had heard from my family's stories that he was still like any of us.He felt emotional pain,hate, anger, my grandfather had once said he had seen Pathion cry as he snapped the neck of a pregnant woman.
Strange and laughable yes, I very well know that as hard as it to believe , I wouldn't doubt my grandfather's words much, my family has had a hand in the supernatural shit that goes on here for many years . Our family tree roots date back centuries ago when a demon mated with a fair Maiden , although I don't know just specifics,what I do know is that my family has had the ability to sense supernatural anomalies and the truly "Gifted" one's have some sort of connection with a divine snake of some sort.
I found what I was looking for , a book I had inherited from my grandparents on my 18th birthday. I was told it held the secrets as to why Pathion and his asexually created children, visited Earth and where they draw power from at the parts of it.
The last time I tried to use the book for answers was 2 years ago where I had to figure out why there was an absolute beauty of a woman who somehow had superhuman strength and and unnatural abilities. Who I may or may not have dated. Turned out , she was indeed a demon. I was seduced and well, I hate to admit the fact that i actually kinda have feelings for her. But? A demon?Coincidence? I think the fuck not.
I looked at the brown leather book in my hand and decided against opening it. My phone rang, which thankfully broke me out of thought." Hello ",I answered. It was Detective Landon ,"Storm, I got the footage of the toy store across to where we found the guy." " Send it to me", I replied, "Already did bro. "
And soon enough my computer lit up with mails well as my phone. I switched to my emails , "Check it out now Landon ",I muttered. The clip show that that guy Thomas Fuller walking closely behind a fair skinned woman as they exit the lens I saw he flicked a knife at her back. "Well he is a thief Landon", I started. Then the feed switched to the next camera. The knife was visible at her back as she was facing Fuller on her left so you couldn't see much of her face. But I caught sight of her dress , her flawless back. It seemed familiar. As the recording ended, I froze the frame , the feed ends with them about enter the alley where Thomas Fuller's body was found. I caught her back in full. The backless dress exposing her skin. I zoomed in. There was a tiny dot on her left shoulder,her hair covered some sort of tattoo. I froze the image and run it through my software that my father and his best friend had developed. A photo enhance of some sort. It buffered a bit, then I saw a version of it in HD. As it enhanced I froze the frame. Shock. Then fear. I knew that tattoo. I was the one that chose it. A single name crossed my mind. I didn't know what I felt, shock or fear or both.
