Chapter 163 - Chapter 163 – A Long-Awaited Spin! Nojiko’s Turn!

A single draw in the one-million-Beli pool—without using the Lucky Lighter—didn't necessarily guarantee that Ren would get what he wanted.

Luck only went so far.

Out of thirty prizes, ten were high-value items that were completely useless in his current situation.

Things like:

[Radiation Grenade]

Origin: War Dimension

Type: Consumable

Effect: Developed by the War Academy and issued to clone soldiers. Throwing range: 200 meters. Radiation kill radius: 1,000 meters. In practice, this weapon is designed to numb the enemy while allowing radiation to linger for sustained lethality.

Cost: The user

—The user, seriously?! That was about as ridiculous as that so-called M-388 nuclear rocket launcher!

Still, if he actually commanded a clone army, such a grenade might not be entirely meaningless.

But Ren? He wasn't about to mess around with something like that. His first instinct was to toss it away.After some thought, though, he boxed it up and stored it inside the Four-Dimensional Chrysanthemum.

Then there were items like this:

[Tifa Silicone Doll]

Origin: Second Dimension

Type: Entertainment Item

Effect: Crafted with advanced modeling technology. A perfect 1:1 replica, inside and out, with ultra-fine artificial skin and hyper-realistic mechanisms. For only 9,999, it will leave you gasping with pleasure! Apart from the heavy steel skeleton, there are virtually no flaws!]

Cost:—Seed

When Ren saw that one, he didn't even know what to say.

Maybe too much pressure really did call for a release valve…

Back in his previous life, that kind of thing would've sat in his shopping cart forever—admired repeatedly but never actually purchased.

For a split second, he really did think about keeping it. But—

Come on! He'd already been reincarnated into another world—why would he still rely on that kind of outlet?!

Wasn't life itself good enough? Wasn't Nami good enough? Wasn't Nojiko even better?!

…Sisters—ahem.

Ren cut off that train of thought and decided to dump the doll straight into the sea.

There were eight other similar items, all ending up the same way.

Aside from those, there were some genuinely high-quality weapons and armor.

Ren let the girls pick what they wanted.

Nami chose a Fang Dagger—nothing fancy, just sharp and sturdy. It had a beautiful curve, silvery and crescent-shaped.

She also took two Mana Crystals to recharge her Arcane Ring. Its "Presence Suppression" effect was practically divine for her charging-type attacks.

Lastly, she begged Ren for something to prevent lightning strikes. Flying through storm clouds was thrilling, sure—but flying into a thunderstorm? Different story.

Nojiko picked a set of tight leather armor and a pair of gauntlets—good quality, according to the description.

She seemed intent on training her physical combat,and had recently begun asking Zoro for advice on workouts.

She too took two Mana Crystals—but for the Invisibility Cloak. Unlike Nami's ring, though, the cloak was shared equipment.

What she really wanted was a tool to keep the rain off, since heavy rain interfered with the Dragon Talisman's effectiveness.

Zoro, meanwhile, set his eyes on a pair of black boots—fire- and water-proof, far better than his old pair. He asked Ren to imbue them with Frost Walker, and also wanted something like Nami's anti-lightning charm.

His concern? Getting fried by Ren's own thunder.

Lightning didn't care who it hit.

There were also plenty of spare items—shields, shortswords,nothing rare enough to fuss over.

Ren thought about it and tossed them into the Advanced Decomposition Machine to see if he could extract some Colorless Crystals.

He had a hunch—since Thunder's Protection mentioned those crystals as an alternative cost.

Magic to fuel magic. If it worked, he could recycle useless gear into valuable resources.

Rumble…With a heavy grind, the machine chewed through the gear like a mechanical beast,spitting out iron dust while extracting some indescribable essence.

Finally, transparent cube-shaped crystals dropped into the output tray.

Ren picked one up, and a light-screen appeared:

[Colorless Crystal ×8]

Origin: One Piece Dimension

Type: Consumable

Effect: Energy crystal refined by the Decomposition Machine, usable in place of most spell reagents. The more extraordinary the dismantled material, the more crystals produced.

Note: 1 Colorless Crystal = 1 Mana Crystal

'So, about a three-to-one loss ratio… The more supernatural the material, the better the yield. You can't cheat the system—but it's a solid recycling method for junk.'

Ren pocketed the crystals and the mana stones, then started the next draw.

Out of four hundred million Beli, seventy million were already gone. The remaining three hundred and thirty million would fill the grand prize pool nicely.

Silver Roulette – 67 spins.

Thirty-seven this round.

Ren rubbed his hands eagerly—he had plenty of wishes this time. Not just for himself, but also for Nojiko, Nami, and Zoro.

He pulled the lever.

The Silver Roulette spun—ten streaks of rainbow light shot outward.

{Drawn – Sunny Doll}

{Drawn – Flame Crown}

{Drawn – Cursed Bear Plush}

{Drawn – Vitality Pills ×5}

{Drawn – Human Essence Pill ×1}

{Drawn – Qi Techniques Manual}

{Drawn – Lightning-Avoiding Doll}

{Drawn – Skill Engraving Technique}

{Drawn – Blank Crystal}

{Drawn – Lightning-Avoiding Doll}

When the draw ended, Ren found a tiny cloth doll in his hand—its straw-colored hat tilted downward as it cowered adorably at the sky,as if fearing the thunderbolt symbol stitched on its hat.

There was even a pull-ring attached—something to hang from a scabbard or belt.

A holographic display popped up:

[Lightning-Avoiding Doll ×2]

Origin: Arcane Dimension

Type: Arcane Item

Effect: Alters local environmental parameters to divert or ground nearby lightning. Activation commands: "Don't strike me!" to turn on, and "Come on, strike me if you can!" to turn off.Alternatively: one slap to activate, two to deactivate.

Cost: Mana Crystal / Colorless Crystal

'That activation phrase is… absurd. Zoro's definitely using the slap method.'

Ren scratched his head. Still, both dolls fit Zoro's and Nami's needs perfectly.

Apparently, all extraordinary items required mana crystals. The lack of a specific unit meant they consumed less than a full crystal per use—but it would add up over time.

Consumable stress, increasing again.

Ren moved on to check the rest of the prizes—and found another doll.

This one was palm-sized, a cheerful red plush holding up a tiny sun—almost like a miniature flame.

[Sunny Doll]

Origin: Magic Dimension

Type: Magic Tool

Effect: Crafted from the remains of magical creatures. Constant "Sunny Day" trait.

Sunny Day: Forces local weather into clear skies. No matter rain, storm, or gloom, it becomes sunshine.

Consumes 1 Mana Crystal for one hour of clear weather within 100 m. Consumes 3 Mana Crystals for five hours within 100 m.Consumes 5 Mana Crystals for one hour within 1 km.

During Sunny Day, the area becomes more combustible; fire-based powers receive a slight boost, and external effects that hinder burning are actively rejected.

Cost: Mana Crystal

The description was intriguingly subtle—it fit Nojiko's request perfectly.

On the unpredictable Grand Line, a "Sunny Day" could be invaluable.

After all, decades ago, Golden Lion Shiki lost to Roger only becausea once-in-a-century storm had struck—leading to the famous Edd War.

Ren could even imagine some creative tactics—summoning a sea-level storm to drown his pursuers, then shielding himself with the Sunny Doll, watching the hunters destroyed by their own weather.

A tempting thought… though best left as fantasy.

'Give it to Nojiko,' he decided.

He stored the doll and picked up a crimson-glowing crown next—crafted with ornate precision and studded with fiery gemstones. It radiated warmth to the touch—clearly one of the Silver Pool's top-tier items.

He'd only ever drawn something comparable once: a passive healing ability.

The crown's description read:

[Flame Crown]

Origin: Magic Dimension

Type: Magical Artifact

Effect: Forged from the remains of a powerful fire elemental creature.

Inherent traits: Burning, Flame, Crimson King.

Burning: Continuously ignites nearby combustible materials and hostile targets, generating intense flame energy.

Flame: Greatly enhances the wearer's fire-related powers—range, temperature, adhesion, and more.

Crimson King: Grants immunity to fire and full control over it. The wearer can freely mold fire into any form—compressing flames for higher heat at smaller volume, or forming a Dusk Infernal Raiment to boost defense by feeding it fire energy.

Each trait activation costs one Mana Crystal. Duration and potency scale by crystal input: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 tiers.

Cost: Mana Crystal

Note: Apart from being expensive, it has almost no drawbacks.

It was a perfect match for Nojiko—an artifact that could transform her power outright.

Just as the note said: aside from its price, it was flawless.
