Chapter 3 - Guilliman

**The database contains vast amounts of human technological knowledge. You can gain access to the database after completing relevant authentication tasks.

The Lord of Domination Template can help you collect faith.

The more beings who recognize you, the stronger the power amplification you receive.

You can view the data of individuals who recognize you , but cannot view information indicating that an individual recognizes other Chaos Gods.

Please treat this with caution.**

**The auxiliary AI can answer your questions and assist you with the knowledge you can access from the database.**

"No shop? No 10x gacha pulls?" Guilliman's heart sank.

Without those super awesome functions, how was he supposed to fight those traitor Primarchs?

How was he supposed to fight the Four Gods??

Was this 'cheat' a joke?? What use was this kind of assistant??

The Chaos Gods were practically fully geared and about to smash the crystal, and he only got this 'cheat' now!!

Game over. Guilliman just wanted to ask someone to inquire with the Four Gods' 'Imperial Army' if he could surrender and lose half!!

**This is a proper auxiliary system and does not have those messy functions.**

"Holy crap, seriously, bruh? Even those clubs know that being 'proper' won't get you anywhere these days. Can't a system learn to adapt?"

Guilliman was dying to let out a heartfelt "What the hell!" but somehow managed to hold it in.

Wasn't this just setting him up for a guaranteed death?!

Without a top-tier 'cheat' assistant, the Chaos side was strong and well-equipped. Meanwhile, the Imperium had to deal with xenos, internal strife, and a bunch of monsters and freaks lurking in the shadows.

**This auxiliary system trusts the host. Please work hard.**

"What's the damn use of you trusting me? I don't even dare trust myself. I'm only human."

Guilliman was wildly complaining internally.

Trust him??

Even someone as awesome as the Emperor was hooked up to sit on the golden throne. Wouldn't everyone else fare even worse?

This was absolutely not a joke.

Someone like the Emperor was an existence with the true 'protagonist template'.

In terms of strength, he had it. His psionic power was so strong it could extinguish stars; the Four Gods had to team up to deal with him.

In terms of strategy, he crushed various xenos, hammered various warlords, and completed the great unification.

In terms of ideology, he had been a charlatan, dabbled in utopianism, and rushed the development of the Imperium.

In terms of achievements, he unified humanity, established the Astronomican, laid the foundation for the Imperium's ten thousand years. He was just a step away from completing the ultimate concept of mass ascension.

Honestly, Guilliman had never seen a novel that could write a protagonist this awesome.

Yet, even such a figure, under the combined efforts of the Four Gods and the traitors, ended up half dead sitting on the Golden Throne, suffering for ten thousand years.

Who dared say they could do better than the Emperor??

With this kind of 'cheat', he couldn't win. At most, he could delay death for a bit, but he would still die in the end.

"My Lord."

Guilliman had been deep in thought until he was roused from his world of contemplation by the voice of Saint Celestine.

Celestine's voice was beautiful, possessing a magnetic quality unique to a Saint.

It made one want to listen to her speak.

After a brutal battle, Celestine's armor was shattered, covered in horrific wounds. Even with her incredible healing ability, she was still bleeding profusely, a shocking sight.

Celestine was one of the key figures in Guilliman's resurrection. It was her suggestion that convinced the Black Templars and numerous other Chapters to protect Cawl.

This allowed the Archmagos, who held the key to Guilliman's revival, to safely withdraw from the fallen and destroyed Cadia Pylon, rallying Space Marines along the way to journey together to Macragge.

These warriors gathered along the route ultimately helped Archmagos Cawl complete the ritual to resurrect Guilliman.

Guilliman looked at Celestine, his gaze questioning.

"Thanks be to the Emperor, who has returned the great Primarch, who has returned you, our esteemed lord, to our side." Celestine endured her injuries and bowed slightly in greeting.

Saints were the Emperor's most loyal followers, His emissaries walking among the living.

In the dark, despairing, bloody galaxy, they were humanity's brightest light of hope and proof that humanity was still protected by the Emperor.

Saints were exceedingly rare in the Imperium of Man.

Because of their noble character and loyal faith, they were blessed by the Emperor and possessed a portion of His power.

Towards the Emperor's own son, Celestine also held absolute loyalty.

Her voice trembled, seeing a son of the Emperor revived before her eyes sparked a glimmer of hope for humanity's future, dispelling some of the despair.

"Father."

Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, Calgar, also walked over.

His stoic face held an uncontrollable excitement. He looked up at the reborn Primarch, his eyes blurred with tears.

The Ultramarines had persevered for ten thousand years, guarding this place for ten thousand years.

To see the return of their gene-father today couldn't help but make them weep with joy.

Chapters using a Primarch's gene-seed would refer to their gene-primarch as 'Father', using this address to express gratitude for the opportunity of a second life they were given.

In front of Guilliman, Calgar, a man hailed as a legend of the Imperium, became as flustered as a raw recruit.

"It is gratifying to see that after ten millennia, my sons are still fighting for humanity."

Guilliman, whose memories were now integrated, looked at Calgar, placed a hand on his shoulder, and spoke in a fatherly tone.

The soul from another world, yet inheriting all of Guilliman's memories and power, allowed him to calmly regard the people gathering around him.

"Lord Regent."

Archmagos Cawl, the Marshal of the Black Templars, Inquisitors, and others also came forward.

Ten thousand years ago, after the end of the Horus Heresy.

Guilliman, who arrived, was entrusted with a heavy responsibility by the grievously wounded Emperor, becoming the Regent of the Imperium.

"It is good to see you all again."

Guilliman swept his gaze over the crowd, his tone low and authoritative.

"The Imperium needs your guidance, lord Primarch."

Celestine gazed at the Primarch's face, her voice unable to hide her excitement.

As a faithful servant, her fervent wish had been realized once more, bringing her immense comfort.

A son of the God-Emperor had returned, resurrected. The demigod of the battlefield would take command, leading the Imperium to victory over the darkness that ceaselessly gnawed at humanity, day and night.

After ten thousand years of darkness, the Imperium of Man finally welcomed a ray of dawn once more.

"It is precisely for this that I have returned."

Guilliman calmly looked at everyone, his resolute gaze instilling courage in them, making them feel an inexplicable sense of security.

"My return will make the enemy tremble and the citizens of the Imperium rejoice. The light of humanity shall once again shine upon this dark starry sky. All invaders shall pay the price for their deeds."

Guilliman's words were resonant and inspiring, making people feel confident.

He was a Primarch, and he would surely fulfill everything he promised.

**The Host has successfully triggered a quest: Drive out the Chaos forces from Macragge. Reward: Unlock Database Level 1.**

**Level 1 access allows viewing knowledge such as first-generation dark matter engines and star-destroying weapons.**

**Can assist the Host in completing technological innovation, allowing the Imperium of Man to burst forth with new vitality once more.**

Hearing the auxiliary AI's prompt, Guilliman immersed his consciousness in the database to check the details of the task reward.

New engines and star destroyers? That was a good first reward.

Crank out more thunder, punch a hole through the sky, and let xenos and daemons learn what it means to taste a dying star.
