Eve Sherman placed the bag from her arms onto the small coffee table and opened it. It was filled with snacks.
"I noticed you didn't eat much tonight. I always bring these with me when I'm on business trips, just in case I get hungry and my blood sugar drops. You should have some."
Eve said this as she took out the snacks one by one, enthusiastically introducing them: "This one can be filling, helps with blood sugar, but it's a bit high in calories, and having it at night can be hard on the liver. This one tastes great but isn't very filling. It's good for low blood sugar though..."
Stellan Sutton lowered his gaze, watching her, his eyes following her movements back and forth.
He found it somewhat novel.
Eve Sherman had been working with him for quite a while. Her competence was undeniable, but she was usually serious and distant, rarely this relaxed.
"Why don't you have some of this? Though it's a bit high in calories, it'll prevent you from getting hungry at night."
