Screen 1 – Late Night at Urahara's Shop
The shop was quiet, the sound of crickets outside blending with the faint hum of the lantern light.
Ichigo leaned against the wall, arms crossed. Urahara sat on a crate, fanning himself lazily. Ben stood near the doorway, staring down at the glowing green watch on his wrist.
Ichigo broke the silence. "You've never really explained what that thing is."
Ben glanced up. "Yeah… guess it's time you knew."
He looked at the Ultimatrix, his expression serious. "This isn't just some random gadget. It's called the Ultimatrix — a weapon and a miracle rolled into one. It's not even supposed to exist."
Urahara raised an eyebrow. "A weapon that lets you turn into other species? Fascinating. Sounds like something only a mad genius would design."
Ben smirked faintly. "You're not wrong."

Screen 2 – The Origin of the Ultimatrix
Ben looked down, his tone steady but reflective.
"The Ultimatrix was created by a Galvan scientist named Azmuth — the same guy who built the original Omnitrix. He meant for this to be an upgrade, but… it wasn't ready. The power core was unstable, too dangerous to use."
He turned his wrist slightly, the green dial glowing faintly.
"So Azmuth locked it away. But one of his assistants, Albedo, stole it."
Ichigo frowned. "Why would he do that?"
Ben sighed. "Because he hated me."
That made Ichigo blink. "You?"
Ben nodded. "Yeah. Albedo thought Azmuth made a mistake giving the Omnitrix to a human. He wanted it for himself — said we didn't deserve it. He tried to copy it, but his version backfired and turned him into my clone. Red jacket, white hair, same face. Ever since then, he's been trying to kill me and take my Omnitrix to turn himself back."
Urahara leaned forward, clearly intrigued. "A scientist corrupted by pride and identity. Classic story."
Ben chuckled softly. "Pretty much. But there's more."
---
Screen 3 – The Evolution Function
Ben tapped the dial again, showing holographic schematics of the Ultimatrix.
"Albedo modified it — added something called the Evolutionary Function. It forces alien DNA through simulated survival for a million years, turning each species into its strongest, most combat-ready form."
Ichigo's eyes widened. "That's what makes your 'Ultimate' forms?"
Ben nodded. "Yeah. Ultimate Humungousaur, Ultimate Big Chill, Ultimate Swampfire — all came from that function."
Urahara tilted his hat slightly. "Ingenious… and reckless. Artificial evolution without ethical control. I can see why your creator called it unstable."
Ben smirked. "He did more than that. Azmuth said it was 'pathetic workmanship' — said Albedo's design begged for disaster."
Ichigo crossed his arms. "And he still let you use it?"
Ben's expression darkened. "He didn't. I took it."
---
Screen 4 – Ben's Past Battle
Ben walked toward the open window, looking up at the moon.
"Back home, I fought Albedo and another monster named Vilgax. When things got bad, I had to destroy my Omnitrix to stop them. It almost killed me. Afterward, I forced Albedo to give me the Ultimatrix — unstable or not. It was the only way to protect my world."
Ichigo stayed silent, watching him.
Ben turned around, eyes calm but tired. "So yeah… this thing? It's not perfect. It's powerful, but flawed. Sometimes it picks the wrong alien, sometimes it glitches mid-fight. It's unpredictable."
Urahara smiled faintly under his hat. "Sounds like its user."
Ben chuckled. "Yeah, that's fair."
---
Screen 5 – Trust and Resolve
Ichigo finally spoke. "So this Albedo guy — he's still out there?"
Ben nodded. "Somewhere. Probably rebuilding something worse. He doesn't quit."
Ichigo looked down at Zangetsu. "Then I guess he's like Aizen — obsessed with power and control."
Ben's tone grew serious. "Yeah, but unlike Aizen, Albedo knows me better than anyone. He's my shadow. My mistake."
Urahara stood up and adjusted his hat. "Then consider this, Ben. Every invention carries the nature of its maker. You can either let the Ultimatrix control you, or you can redefine it — make it yours."
Ben nodded slowly. "Yeah. That's the plan."
Ichigo smirked. "Then let's make sure the next time one of those freaks shows up, they regret it."
Ben grinned. "You read my mind."
As the three looked out at the night sky, the Ultimatrix flickered once, glowing steady and calm — no longer unstable, but synchronized with Ben's spirit.
"That's why my Ultimatrix keeps glitching — it was never finished right,"
To be continued
