For the rest of the day, she did not see Darrius and it made her wonder if it was because of what she said earlier. She chatted with Karina and Gina to relieve boredom, Karina knew very well that her mind was preoccupied so she decided to excuse her to rest.
"Collins." The door opened and Collins walked in, Collins was one of her new personal guards. They were both very huge and intimidating.
"where is his highness?"
"the northern and southern empire are having a conflict. He went there as the king to settle the dispute so it does no lead to war."
"when will he be back?" she asked even though she was a bit angry that he left without informing her.
"if feels like he's deliberately ignoring me." She taught to herself. 'I mean I'm I the only one getting married.?'
"I have no idea but his highness usually stays for a month the least each time he leaves the palace for something "
"okay you can leave"
'it's okay Lila it's just a marriage of convenience.' She said to herself and went to bed to get some sleep. But she could not get any so she stood up to walk around since she was not used to sleeping in the day yet but going out without her guards was going to be risky.

"she's very pretty and elegant like a queen but the problem is that we want a vampire queen."
"why do you say so?"
"she has a short lifespan. In the next decade or so shell grow old and we both know that that span of time means nothing to vampires."
"but still I like her. She's not like Genevieve that throws her weight at everyone just because she is considered a candidate."
"by the way speaking of Genevieve. The new queen is so cool. She put Genevieve to shame with words. I heard that Genevieve wanted to show off instead she was embarrassed."
"yeah. She's quite bold for a human." They had no idea that Lila was listening to their conversation. Vampires had a sharp keen sense of smell but both of them were berry weak and they spent all their energy gossiping and cleaning so they did not notice her at all. She returned into her chambers and sighed.
"a decade?" she taught and she felt saddened about the fact that she would not be able to rule with Darrius for long.
"your highness there is a solution" Karina appeared and said. She was there when they were talking about the queen and was quite surprised to see her there. She knew what they had said had affected her so she came with a solution
