"Where have you been the whole time, Elvo?" Miro flopped onto the bed.
"I forgot to say, in the future there are no Elvos, so I need to stay hidden at all times, and no one can know about me."
The rustling sound of the trees outside danced its way into the room.
"Why are there no Elvos?"
Elvo flew around the room, touching the sparkling blue pool water.
"It's not important… but now you need to get ready for that oddly suspicious mission of yours."
Miro walked up to them.
"Could you help me with it?"
"No, I can't. I must only help with finding your soulmate," they said in a strict tone.
Miro sighed in disappointment, not knowing if he could do this.
"Fine, let's get ready to leave."
After taking a shower, getting into his suit, and having a good meal, he headed off to the party. Outside the hotel, a car was waiting for him. He looked at it weirdly and got in it with difficulties. The ride wasn't too long; he enjoyed the view outside cheerful people on the late-night streets in colorful clothing he had never seen before. The highway, crowded with cars, looked like a whole new world to him. He felt lost, like a homeless puppy, but at the same time excited for what might come.
When Miro arrived at the party, a pretty lady in a glittery red dress immediately took his arm.
"You must be Miro. Our boss told me about you. Don't worry, I'm your colleague, and for tonight, you'll just need to stay with me that's it, very simple." The lady smiled friendly at him.
Her dark green eyes locked with Miro's, and he instantly started blushing.
"Yes, ma'am."
She chuckled.
"Also, wear these glasses."
She handed him special camera glasses, and he put them on immediately.
They walked over to a table where other people were sitting and started talking. They had a lot of fun, and the conversation was going smoothly.
"By the way, ma'am, I never caught your name."
She gave him that smile again that made his knees go weak.
"My name is Haera."
Miro's eyes widened.
"Wow, that's such a beautiful name."
Haera caught a glimpse of a man in a red suit and got up.
"Come with me, Miro."
Miro followed her, adjusting his glasses. As Haera talked with the man, Miro started analyzing him from top to bottom. A few minutes ago, he had received a message that said: "Go to the man with the red suit and film him with your glasses. At the same time, look for anything unusual."
He looked at the man but nothing seemed off until the man moved his bow tie, and Miro caught a glimpse of something underneath it. His glasses scanned it and interpreted it as a mini microphone. He had no idea what it meant, but luckily, the glasses explained it all only for him to see.
He looked at Haera and blinked twice to signal he had found something. Haera smiled and went into action.
She dramatically started to fall to the floor, pretending to be dizzy.
"Oh no, I'm not feeling too good, Miro dear. Could you grab me some water?"
She looked toward the door in the back, her eyes telling him to go there.
"Yes, of course, Haera."
He stormed off before the red-suited man could even comprehend what happened.
He went into the door and saw a new message on his phone: "Go to the basement and film whoever or whatever is there."
He walked down the stairs hurriedly. The fact that he was able to do all this made him feel exhilarated. He started going slower and slower until he reached the basement. There were lots of digital screens, and he filmed carefully with his glasses but then a girl came rushing out of the room and bumped into Miro.
They both fell to the ground, Miro's glasses flying off.
