The Viper's POV
I have been trying to reach Maria for a while now. I need her to be able to have access to some files that I need. Charles Thorn took us all by surprise when he funded numerous businesses in the city.
A knock on the door made me shift my attention there.
"Come in."
The door was pushed open and my mother walked inside.
"What do you want, Mom?"
She removed her phone and placed it in my face. "Your old girlfriend is dead." She sounded rather pleased.
I looked at her weirdly and snatched the phone from her hand. "What do you mean by that?"
"Read it."
I read the news blog and there were two explosions in the Thorn residence and several people died but there were survivors. Maria's face was shown as one of those dead.
"What about Charles Thorn?"
