As Shota was asked to explain more about Sasori, he sighed deeply and looked around the council chamber. Everyone was watching him with intense eyes.
He took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking in a calm but clear voice. "You see, Sasori was framed for human experimentation on our very own shinobi. Lord Third was not against the idea of experimenting on enemy shinobi since we already do it to study kekkei genkai, but he was against doing it on our own people. Someone from our own village framed him to make him look like a monster."
Shota continued explaining the events carefully. "Not only that, when Sasori escaped, this person managed to track out his position and led Lord Third outside the village without his guards, knowing that Lord Third would hunt down Sasori if he saw him. But Sasori was well prepared and managed to beat the Kazekage. He had to reluctantly kill him. And to protect himself from Suna and other villages hunting him down, he turned the Third into a puppet with access to his Magnet Release kekkei genkai."
Shota made sure to mention that the puppet had access to the Kekkei Genkai because then only these elders who valued power above everything else would understand why bringing Sasori back to the village was crucial.
'Heck, there is a chance they might even fund his puppet research and experimentation. If that does not make Sasori san hug and kiss me then there is really nothing that could get past his stony heart or well puppet heart in his case.' Shota thought
"How do you know all of this?" Rasa asked, his voice demanding.
"It was Sasori-san who attacked me on the way to the Daimyō. But on orders from the same very traitor. He saw this as a chance to repent his crimes and thus gave me the proof of his innocence," Shota replied honestly.
Another session of murmurs began in the chamber.
"The Third Kazekage, the strongest Kazekage, was defeated by Sasori when he was a teen?"
"His puppet can use his kekkei genkai? Can you think of the possibilities? With it we can become the strongest shinobi village."
"Sasori might become the hero of Suna."
A burst of chakra suddenly silenced the room. Everyone turned to look at Lady Chiyo, whose eyes had darkened dangerously as she stared at Shota. "And who was this traitor that framed my Sasori?"
Shota smiled calmly. "Ah, he is in this very room with us."
Everyone started looking at each other in suspicion. Whispers and nervous glances spread quickly through the council. Some elders shifted uncomfortably in their seats while others stared at their neighbors with doubt.
"Before we hear it from the culprit himself, this is the second order that the Daimyo has given me. The traitor elder would be arrested and executed after interrogation of course. After sufficient proof, we have confirmed that the traitor has directly or indirectly helped in the murder of hundreds of Suna shinobi during the war by collaborating with Konoha's Danzo," Shota announced loudly.
He then began to listen some of the intel that was shared to Danzo by Sasori which led to Suna shinobi dying.
Another murmur of rage began to spread in the room.
"Who is it? Tell us his name!"
"How dare someone betray us like this!"
"Hundreds of our comrades died because of one man?"
"We should execute him right here!"
"Show us the proof! Who is this snake among us?"
"Traitor! Come forward if you have any honor left!"
Shota looked directly at one person. "What's say, Elder Daigo? Ready to accept your crimes? How does it feel to betray your village, family, friends, and comrades?"
Elder Daigo looked up at Shota with steel-cold eyes, but before he could answer, something unexpected happened.
"Because of you my son died, you bastard!" Kenta Ryoji, the jonin commander of the village, shouted.
His fist erupted in a burst of wind, a special jutsu that he himself had created and incorporated into his taijutsu. A jutsu that merged with his Taijutsu and did not use any hand signs.
The powerful wind punch passed straight through the guts of Elder Daigo, who did not even change his expression as he dissolved into sand.
Kenta looked in disbelief. "Sand clone?"
Everyone looked shocked and were on up on their seats. Elder Daigo being a clone was enough proof for them for them to believe that he was a traitor.
"Ah, it sucks for him that I already anticipated this. " Shota shook his head in amusement.
Everyone looked at him confused.
"Besides, I have the better version of the clone jutsu with me," Shota said as he himself dispersed in a burst of smoke as he gave the memories of the Elder escaping to his Original.
Rasa's expression turned serious. He was not going to stay still when the village's worst criminal was in his hands. He looked at his Anbu commanders, who nodded silently and left quickly after Shota and Elder Daigo.
Chiyo stood up slowly and walked toward the gate. Ebizo looked at her with worry in his eyes. Chiyo answered without turning back, her voice cold and filled with killing intent. "If he framed my grandson, then he is ought to pay for it... by my very own hands."
The council chamber remained in stunned silence as the reality of the situation settled over everyone. The greatest drama in recent Suna history had only just begun.
