Shota's eyes opened suddenly in the middle of the night. He slowly looked around in the inn room that he was staying in Konoha.
The room was dark with only a small amount of moonlight coming through the window. Everything seemed normal, but Shota knew that he was being watched by Konoha Shinobi.
His instincts told him it was time to move though. He sat up carefully, making sure not to make any noise that could alert anyone outside.
He immediately placed a seal near his bed. 'Thank you, Bunpaku-san, for this seal,' Shota thought.
Bunpaku was a master of sealing jutsu, and he had to be, considering how long he had caged Shukaku without it ever getting loose even once. The seal was a clever piece of work that could copy chakra signatures and fool sensors.
He also remembered that he was given the opportunity to train fuinjutsu with Granny Chiyo, but sadly, due to recent happenings, that had been delayed. Thankfully Bunpaku san whenever he was feeling fine taught him a couple of things even if it was only for a few minutes or so.
'Ugh, the one time Rasa gives me a reward and I cannot even do it due to me being busy. Forget it, let us focus on the current task,' Shota thought as he activated the seal with a quick hand sign. Then he quickly used Erasure on himself, making his chakra disappear completely.
There was no reaction from the seal, but he knew it was working. The seal basically had been stored with a copy of his chakra signature, and thus any sensors outside would think that he was still here.
And he had also found a way to use Erasure on himself. Shota thought, 'I should have thought about this before. It makes me a perfect assassin. Even normal humans have chakra, so I am practically invisible to everyone's senses. Everyone looks for chakra signatures but since I would not have one, I will be practically invisible to the target until I am right next to them. It would have helped me a lot in the assassination missions as an Anbu.'
Shota shook his head and quickly left the inn through the front exit after doing a quick hair dye and turning his hair to brown. The change was simple but effective.
He looked like an ordinary traveler now. As he left, Shota thought, 'Every person, even shinobi, rely too much on their senses and then their eyes most.'
With them thinking that he was still in his room and with him changing his hair, they would just think of him as some regular person who was also staying in the inn.
He could not use transformation jutsu or body flicker since he was using Erasure on himself, but once he was far away from the inn, he quickly dropped the Erasure on himself and used the camouflage technique to hide himself. He then body flickered to the outskirts of the village.
He relied on his senses to check where the most gathering of Nine-Tails chakra was. And he quickly headed to that location.
Just as he expected, there was a man there with a black box placed with lots of seals, and he was using some jutsu to gather the Nine-Tails chakra that was used during the attack by the nine tails into the box and sealing it.
'Kazuma, one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja and a future traitor of the Land of Fire,' he thought as he gazed at the dark brown-skinned, long white-haired man.
'Who would have thought that someone could even weaponize the remnant of the Nine-Tails chakra attack,' Shota thought.
Shota then grimaced as he verified the existence of Kazuma. 'This confirms it. The filler arcs of the anime are actually real in this world. Let us hope that at least none of the movies are real because that would suck.'
Shota watched Kazuma work patiently. 'He really has deep knowledge of fuinjutsu to do this. I do not think that he would agree to teach me if I asked. Oh well, let us wait for a few hours to let him gather more chakra and then act today itself. I cannot risk it for tomorrow.'
As for what Shota was planning, well, if you have not guessed it yet, he was planning to take the Nine-Tails chakra and seal it to himself. Turning himself into a pseudo-Jinchuriki.
The idea had been in his mind for a while. Having even a portion of the Nine-Tails power could make him much stronger and give Suna another powerful asset.
He knew the risks, but the rewards were too great to ignore. He stayed hidden in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
The minutes passed slowly as Kazuma continued his work. Shota remained completely still, his eyes never leaving the man and the black box. He reviewed his plan again and again in his mind, making sure there were no mistakes. When the time was right, he would act fast and take what he needed.
