Zhang Zhaodi knocked on the door. It opened, and a gentle-looking middle-aged woman welcomed her inside.
"Things were awfully busy at the shop today, I got here a bit late; you weren't too anxious waiting, were you?" Zhang Zhaodi asked the woman.
Mrs. Jiang replied softly, "I'm idle anyway, what's the harm in waiting a little longer? If you're busy, just focus on your work, my door is always open for you."
"Jiang, your temperament is too kind," Zhang Zhaodi said as she held her hand, touched, "Do you have other guests today? Why cook so much food?"
"My elder brother from my family came too," Mrs. Jiang said, "I made a few extra dishes for them to enjoy with drinks."
"Since you have guests, I'll come to see you another day," Zhang Zhaodi said and turned to leave.
