Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Who It Is Doesn't Matter

Cora Lowell didn't even lift her eyelids, just casually pointed to the right.

"Are you blind? Can't you see?"

A whole row of towering bookshelves stood against the wall on the left side of the study.

They were filled with ancient books and thread-bound volumes, the yellowed pages emitting a faint scent of ink.

On the right, however, was a giant electronic screen embedded into the wall.

The screen was divided into small grids.

Each grid was simultaneously displaying different images, densely packed,

covering almost every corner of the Lowell Family's home.

Garden, hallway, living room, servants' quarters, garage...

None were missed, leaving no blind spot.

Except for the screen in the middle, which was completely black.

She walked forward slowly, her steps so light they were barely audible.

At the desk, she threw the tissue wrapped with the shards onto the table with a "smack."

"Here, take this back."

Her tone was full of sarcasm.
