Mike moved with the flow of the defenders, positioning himself near the wooden barricades just as the first wave crashed in.
Green-skinned goblins poured out of the treeline, shrieking wildly, crude blades raised. Behind them, lean gray wolves bounded forward, fangs bared and eyes glowing with hunger.
"So many already…" someone muttered nearby.
Mike didn't hesitate.
He stepped forward and slashed.
The long steel sword cut cleanly through the neck of the first goblin. Blood sprayed as the body collapsed before it could even scream.
Grand Weapon Mastery kicked in.
His movements became smoother, faster—each swing carrying far more force than a common sword should have been able to produce.
Two more goblins rushed him.
Mike twisted his wrist and swept the blade sideways.
One fell.
Then the other.
But the wolves were faster.
Three of them lunged at once.
Mike's eyes narrowed.
"…Let's try it."
He focused his will.
Beast Overlord activated.
