Everything had felt like it was happening all at once, but after a few weeks at work and no response from the resumes he'd sent out, things actually started to quiet down.
Mr. Harrison didn't get removed, and while the HR investigation had wrapped up, he was still on probation. Quinn wasn't sure what that meant, and Mr. Harrison wouldn't elaborate on it either, but his sour expression said it all.
They were clearly holding this over his head to fire him at any point for little to no reason. It was cruel, it was mean, and Quinn had lost all faith in the Baxter family. That didn't mean he could just leave.
He had bills to pay, money he needed to tuck away, and a life he wanted to live. Working meant that he could do that, even if once every two weeks Michel caused a stir near his department just to try and ruffle Quinn's feathers.
