Chapter 61 - world consciousness

The figure continued to stare at Yuuto.

He was still sitting cross-legged, his expression as if he were examining a broken object.

"I was confused for a moment," he said quietly, yet his voice echoed, "about why the Transmigrator in the One Piece world suddenly disappeared."

His gaze drifted forward, empty.

"But now… I know the answer."

He stood up.

"At first, I intended to investigate it myself," he continued as he walked slowly, "by opening a dimensional rift so I could see directly what was happening."

"But something closed it." "It seems… something helped you."

His eyes narrowed.

"What the hell are you doing? Trying to become Arthur Proto? Hah! Don't joke around. You're not even my Transmigrator. That power doesn't suit you." "Where did you get that power?" "How can you exist in the One Piece world?" "What are you actually trying to do?"

His steps drew closer.

"I have a thousand questions for you, but forget it."

He stopped right in front of Yuuto.

"You've messed up my toy, you know that?" "Well… it's fine. I still have many other toys. But since you tried to interfere with my entertainment—"

He raised his hand, palm pointed straight at Yuuto.

"You're just a useless character from an NTR world," he said with disgust, "yet you managed to ruin the story I created."

"You're extremely annoying."

His eyes hardened.

"You're just a useless character." "Disappear."

WOOOOS

A violent wind slammed into Yuuto.

But—

Nothing happened.

"…Eh?" "What is this?" he muttered in shock.

He tried again.

No reaction.

Once more.

Still nothing.

"Wait—why aren't you being erased?" Panic began creeping across his expression.

He stared at his own hands.

"Why…?" "Why isn't my power working?"

The space began to tremble.

"Hah?!" "What is this—something is trying to enter?!"

He turned toward Yuuto, his round, featureless face showing fear despite lacking facial features.

"This is because of you, isn't it?!"

He tried to move closer—

But an invisible barrier stopped him.

"Eh?!" "What is this?!"

He struck the barrier repeatedly.

"Impossible!" "This is my space! No one should be able to—"

KRAKK

Cracks appeared, spreading wider and wider across the entire space.

"W-what's happening?!"

BOOM

Everything collapsed.

The white space vanished, replaced by complete darkness.

The figure was slammed to the ground, face-down.

With great effort, he lifted his head.

In front of him—

Yuuto was standing.

Behind Yuuto, a blue, mist-like light surged upward, pulsing slowly—like a colossal consciousness awakening.

Yuuto opened his eyes.

But—

They were not Yuuto's eyes.

His irises were azure blue, mixed with unnatural streaks of red.

That gaze was empty.

Then—

He smiled. Not a human smile. But the smile of something that had waited far too long.

"Thank you," he said.

But the voice was not Yuuto's. It was not a single voice— Countless voices overlapped, echoing together.

"For inviting Yuuto to this place." "Because of you… the seal no longer worked."

The figure's eyes widened.

"T-those eyes—Mystic Eyes of Percep—"

DUM!

A kick struck his body before he could finish.

"Silence," said Yuuto—or something using Yuuto's body. "We do not permit you to speak."

The figure was sent flying.

Yuuto raised his hand.

WOOOS

The air folded.

The flying figure was dragged back violently—

His neck was crushed in Yuuto's grip.

His feet dangled. His hands flailed. But the grip did not loosen.

The white figure continued struggling.

His fingers clawed at empty space, his legs kicked helplessly, but the grip around his neck was absolute.

"We are very grateful to you," Yuuto said, his voice echoing with multiple consciousnesses.

"Because of you, we learned how vast the universe truly is." "Because of you, we were able to expand our records and multiply our branches." "You could even be called our godfather—because you are the one who gave us self-awareness."

The white figure choked, his voice trembling.

"W-who are you…?" Pure fear was finally born within him.

Yuuto tilted his head, as if puzzled.

"How cruel of you," he said playfully. "To forget us like this, even though you visited us so often."

The figure's body stiffened.

"You—you can't be…" "Ro—Root…?"

Panic spread like fractures.

"Hehehe~"

Yuuto laughed—but it was not a human laugh.

"Who else could it be?"

The figure trembled.

"H-how is this possible…?" "You're just a fictional character!" "Not real!"

Yuuto's gaze lowered slightly.

"Who decided we're fictional?" "And how can you assume you're real… while we're not?"

His tone pressed down heavily.

"That's nothing more than your own assumption."

The grip on the neck tightened.

"You've taken from us far too often, without ever paying anything in return."

"So now, we're collecting the debt—with interest."

The figure struggled violently.

"W-what are you going to do…?!"

Yuuto leaned closer.

"Don't worry," he said lightly. "This won't hurt."

Then, his voice layered once more—

"Oh, and don't worry about your Transmigrators." "We'll make sure they're all eliminated." "Across past, present, and future."

"Without exception. Without discrimination." "Good or evil is irrelevant."

"W-why…? Why are you doing this…?" the figure sobbed.

The thing possessing Yuuto pretended to think.

"Why? Hmm…"

He smiled.

"No particular reason." "We just want to erase you." "Because you're disgusting."

The figure's body suddenly changed.

The featureless white form collapsed and peeled away, replaced by flesh and bone. He fell into his true human form—thin, messy black hair, dull skin, sunken face, reeking of laziness and decay.

Yuuto stared at him for a long moment.

"Oh… so this is your true appearance."

He frowned.

"Disgusting."

The man screamed, staring at his own hands.

"Wait—why…? Why did I return to this form?!" "No! This can't be possible!! AAAAA!"

Yuuto released his grip and dropped him to the ground.

"No… no… give my form back…!" The man crawled, clutching Yuuto's leg.

DUM!

Yuuto kicked him away without hesitation.

"Don't touch the body of our apostle, monkey."

The body flew back, collapsed, crying, trying to stand.

"How…?" "How can you do all this…?"

Yuuto pulled a folding phone out of nothingness.

"Hehehe~ You recognize this, don't you?"

The man's face froze.

"N-no way…" "That—that cheat chat group… I made it for myself…!"

Yuuto raised the phone slightly.

"This thing is amazing." "With it," he said softly, "we can connect to the consciousness of every world linked to it."

"W-world consciousness…?"

Yuuto kicked him again before he could stand.

"Did you really think we were the only ones to awaken?" "Every world you toyed with awakened its own consciousness, idiot."

Yuuto's foot pressed the man's neck into the ground.

"Every world." "Every story." "Every reality you treated as a toy—"

"—remembers you."

The pressure increased, the space trembling.

"T-that was supposed to be my cheat…"

His voice was barely audible.

"Yes, yes, yes." Yuuto sighed lightly, many voices overlapping. "Go on. Keep struggling."

The foot pressed down harder.

"This is all your own doing." "You acted like you were omnipotent." "When in reality, you were nothing but a false god trying to invade our world."

The man choked.

"And what's with those candidate group members?" Yuuto chuckled mockingly. "All women? Are you thinking only with your genitals?" "Use your brain for once." "With those candidates, you'd only get one woman per world."

He looked down, disgusted.

"Fortunately, not all of them have joined yet." "Don't worry. We'll take very good care of your group."

Yuuto's voice grew lower, heavier.

"The worlds whose members haven't joined yet—we've already changed them." "Made them more… interesting." "And through them—Yuuto will gain more women." "Or rather… the thing you desire most." "A harem."

"N-no… impossible…" The man sobbed, his face soaked with tears and snot. "I should've been the one there…"

"Tch." Yuuto turned his face slightly. "You're becoming more repulsive by the second."

The foot tightened.

A cracking sound came from the man's neck.

"N-no… please… forgive me…" "I don't want to end up li—"

"Goodbye," Yuuto cut him off coldly, "useless father."

BOOM.

Yuuto stomped down.

The false god's body shattered into pieces—no blood.

"Wow." Yuuto lifted his foot and smiled faintly. "That was… very satisfying."

Then voices echoed around him.

"You went too far," one voice said. "After all, he was our father."

"Yeah," another replied. "You could've erased him without playing with him."

A third laughed lightly. "Hahahaha. I think it was perfect."

Yuuto looked up into the void.

"Well," he said flatly, "we really do hate him." "He's interfered with us far more than you realize."

Then his tone grew serious.

"Forget it." "Make sure your people are ready to enter the chat group." "We don't want any problems."

"Yeah, that's easy," they replied together.

And they were gone.

Yuuto stood still for a moment.

He looked at his own hands.

"It seems we should thank Arthur," he muttered. "He helped our apostle grow this far." "And created a seal so he wouldn't lose his personality."

He exhaled softly.

"All right." "Time to go."

And without a sound, Yuuto vanished.

(Note: You may have already guessed after reading this chapter—future group members will not be women only. Other men will also join. So apologies if you were expecting this group to be nothing but Yuuto's harem.)
