Fireworks were set off early in the morning at Lin family home. The brothers were standing near the doors welcoming friends and family to come and wish the newly weds well. Each red packet was recorded with a name beside the amount so Mo Long could investigate the men who came.
Lin Yue sat beautifully in her room. She wore a beautiful wedding cheongsam in red and teal brocade. The teal inner gown was embroidered with pond lilies in gold thread and the outer gown was red with Koi fish embroidered into it with black thread. Her veil was embroidered with twin koi in a yin and yan pattern. The whole ensemble had a pearl beaded trim. Lin Yue had put on simple makeup, a delicate blush and red lipstick. She used coal to line her eyes and some ash and coal mixed together to make an eyeshadow. Her chocolate eyes were highlighted by the smoky look and her red lips made her look far too beautiful. Feng Dai was astonished by her change in appearance. Lin Yue then braided her hair in several sections and wrapped the long braids around her head to look like a crown. She placed the hair pins in special places to hold the braids in place. She took the cherry flower pins she made and decorated the braids with the flowers.
"Wow, Yue-Yue, you look amazing." Lin Yue smiled at her friend in the mirror. "This is simple. I can help you when you find a man too. This will please him and let him know you want to look beautiful for him. I believe Jinchen will be speechless when he sees me."
Lin Yue finished by using a perfume made from boiling flowers into an oil on her neck and wrists. Fu Ping came in then and smiled at her daughter. "The wedding procession is almost here. Wear the veil quickly." Feng Dai helped Lin Yue with the veil and then took her to sit on the bed to wait for Mo Jinchen. She thought about the week she spent learning about her husband. He was a hardworking man with extremely high morals. He refused to touch her until she married him.
Lin Yue heard talking and laughter in the main room and then her door opened. "Yue'er? I'm here to pick you up." Lin Yue smiled at the husky tone in Jinchen's voice.
Mo Jinchen reached out for his bride. She was stunning, sitting there in her wedding clothes. He lifted her up into his arms and princess carried her out of the room. The people in the main room began to clap and whistle as he walked right passed them at fast pace. Lin Yue laughed at him as he rushed out like someone was going to take her from him.
Mo Jinchen took Lin Yue straight to the marriage house. She had little time to look around the well managed yard and the pond with the koi. Mo Jinchen didn't pause to put her down. He took her to the main hall and set her down in front of their parents.
Mo Long sighed and glanced at his wife, who was giggling at her son.
Not long after, the ceremony was completed and Mo Jinchen whisked his bride away to bridal chamber.
Mo Jinchen gently set his bride on their bed and removed her veil. He was stunned by her beauty. The make up she wore was soft and simple but it caused her to look like a fairy from the immortal plain.
"Yue'er, your so beautiful it makes my heart hurt." He was gentle as he brushed his fingers down her cheek. Lin Yue smiled and turned to pick up the wedding wine cups. She handed one to Jinchen. "Brother Jinchen, after this, I will be your wife. I hope to be a good and gentle wife to you." Jinchen took the cup and crossed it with her cup. "I will never let you suffer, my Yue'er."
After drinking the wedding wine, Jinchen pulled his bride down and gently removed her cheongsam and his own suit. The room heated up with their passion and love for each other.
