Chapter 3 - Where Is My Sister?

Marco

The blaring alarm bell of my phone jolted my body awake as it pulled me out of the numb darkness I had been in for the night. I reached over for it and quickly shut it off before I threw it back on the dark wooden night stand.

The pounding headache against my skull made me wince as I pressed my hand against my forehead with a groan. It was a dumb idea to go to a party on a sunday night knowing that I had the longest work day ahead of me.

I tried to replay my schedule for the day and immediately grew cold when I realised what day it was. My body shot up as if someone had thrown a bucket of ice water onto me but immediately came down when I saw the pale slender arm thrown over my torso and the red painted nails on a left hand that held a giant diamond ring.

"Merde," I hissed before I ran my hands down my face. A media frenzy with a married woman was the last thing I needed with Amanda's arrival. Edward was going to skin me alive.

When I tried to gently peel her arm off me, the blonde supermodel left out a faint whine as she held onto me tighter, "Don't go."

"Sorry Barbs," I let out a chuckle. "But I need to go."

"Brittney," she corrected before she opened her bright blue eyes then licked her lips, "Just one more time then I'll let you go." Her cold lips pressed a kiss just against my cheek and I almost let out a snort.

A lot of things looked a lot more appealing to me when I was drunk.

"I have to go. Margorrete will bring you breakfast and organise a driver to get you home," I stood up from the bed and looked around for my trunks, unable to find them anywhere despite the scattered clothing around my bedroom.

"Are you serious?" she shrieked as she sat up and held the white sheet to her body, "You can't just toss me out."

"I can," I shrugged, "You should really learn to stay more loyal to your husband."

"You piece of shit," she screamed as she threw a pillow in my direction. "You promised!"

"I was drunk, you cannot take anything I say seriously," I chuckled before I finally found my underwear then slipped them on.

The best plan of action was to simply get out before I was a victim of possible murder. I grabbed my jeans and shirt then quickly slipped them on as she hurled insults my way before I managed to make it out of my bedroom in one piece.

I would simply have to get ready at the office before anyone saw me. From the moment I slipped into my Ferrari and raced out of my garage, I was not surprised to get a call from the one person I knew would be on my neck the entirety of the day.

"And where is my sister?"

"Edward-"

"Marco, could you just not keep it in your pants for one single day!" his british accent voice flooded through the speakers of my car.

"It was nothing like that," I argued.

"You're everywhere for leaving some party with a married woman. At least have some sense."

"I-"

"Don't make me regret trusting you with Amanda, Marco. She would have rather had me as a business partner than you but I trusted you with her. If you can't handle it then tell me I would recommend her to someone else."

"Trust me Edward, I know what I'm doing. I'm the head of the Agassi house for a reason."

"Then maybe it's a key time you started acting that way. Act with discretion for once in your life. Don't take down her reputation with you."

Before I could even get a word out he ended the call leaving me with my head spinning. I pushed up my sunglasses up the bridge of my nose with my finger and let out a groan.

Edward did not care about anything but himself most of the time and everyone knew Amanda was his achilles heel. He would drop the world for her and even though we were practically brothers, he drew the line when it came to his baby sister.

The very baby sister I had avoided for nearly a decade because of my own selfish reasons.

I clenched my jaw and shook my head trying to shake the memory from my mind before I focused back on the road. I would make it up to Amanda somehow but I first needed time to prepare myself.

After a quick shower in my office apartment, I dressed in a black suit with a white v neck shirt and black sneakers. Ties and formal shoes were never my forte and with a hangover I would avoid it with everything in me.

Once I was in my office with a cup of coffee I called Cody to make sure he had gotten Amanda safely from the airport and once that was sorted I could focus back on the pile of paper work I already had on my desk.

Yet just as I grabbed the first file, my office door burst open with an unexpected thunder that I nearly jumped in my seat as I looked up.

Ready to call security I reached for my phone but immediately froze mid dial as staring back at me was a goddess in the truest forms. 4ft9 in heels most women would have found it difficult to walk in stood the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen.

Caramel skin so smooth I wondered if she was even real. Dark curly hair that cascaded down her small shoulders and a body perfect enough to make a man fall to his knees. She had the perfect amount of curves that my hands felt desperate to touch.

The dark black pencil skirt she wore made her wide hips enhance her hourglass body and the white silky blouse she wore brought an elegance to her. Her skin covered in freckles and her hazel eyes burning with what I would have hoped was lust but soon saw was fury.

Even though my body reacted to her like a live beckon I could not ignore the fact that she had disrespected me by barging in.

I stood to my full height, "And who do you think you are?"

"That's rich coming from you. Rude to not remember your business partner," as soon as I heard her accent blood drained from my body but before I could react she spun on her heels and marched out with the same amount of fury she had entered with.
