Guo Feiyu and Zhang Ya got dressed and walked out of the lounge. Cao Hu, who had been waiting at the door since early morning, quickly stepped forward with a smile and greeted respectfully, "Chairman, Mrs. Chairman, good morning."
Zhang Ya's face blushed crimson instantly. She pouted and snorted, "What Mrs. Chairman? I'm not!" Her shy demeanor was just like a newlywed bride—head bowed, cheeks flushed, fingers fidgeting nervously with the buttons on her clothes.
Seeing her like this, Guo Feiyu felt a surge of affection. He slipped one arm around her slender waist, flicked her delicate nose lightly with the other hand, and smiled, "My Ya'er is still being shy. If you're not my wife, then who's?"
Zhang Ya shot him a playful glare and whispered, "You shouldn't say it so straightforwardly. It feels weird to me."
Guo Feiyu and Cao Hu both laughed. Guo Feiyu turned to Cao Hu and said, "Then drop that title from now on. Did you wait here so early for something important?"
"Chairman, it's not a major issue, but several of our clubs in City T were vandalized," Cao Hu replied softly, lowering his head.
Guo Feiyu narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Have you found out who did it?"
"We received the news last night, and I've already sent people to investigate," Cao Hu said cautiously.
"Find out who's behind this and handle it with full authority," Guo Feiyu instructed.
He knew full well that City T in Province S was a hotbed for gang activity. For the Feiyu Gang to establish a foothold there, it would inevitably face suppression from local gangs. As long as the Feiyu Gang held its ground, gained a firm footing, and subdued the gangs in City T, unifying the northern underworld would be just around the corner.
"Go attend to your work. By the way, tell Zhang Qiang to step up training for those men—we might need them soon," Guo Feiyu said to Cao Hu.
After leaving Feiyu Group's headquarters, a red BMW pulled up. Guo Feiyu thought the car looked familiar and couldn't help glancing at it twice. The BMW stopped right in front of him, and the door swung open, revealing a stunning figure.
Zhang Ya recognized the person stepping out and exclaimed, "Lin Rui!" before rushing over to hug her. The sight of the two superstars embracing drew stares from all passersby.
A pedestrian riding an electric scooter stared wide-eyed at the embracing pair, saliva dripping from the corner of his mouth. He was so distracted that he didn't notice his scooter was heading straight for a roadside telephone pole. "Bang!" The scooter crashed into the pole, and he tumbled headfirst into a trash can nearby. Passersby burst into laughter, and Guo Feiyu shook his head, chuckling aloud.
"Maybe you two should move somewhere else, or we'll end up with a real traffic accident," Guo Feiyu teased the hugging pair.
Zhang Ya and Lin Rui exchanged a smile, then walked over to Guo Feiyu. Lin Rui glanced at him shyly and whispered, "I—I was just driving around casually. I never expected to run into you here."
Guo Feiyu chuckled to himself. Casual? That was way too much of a coincidence. She was probably trying to hit on him. Well, who could blame her—he was just that charismatic. Zhang Ya shook his arm excitedly and said, "Feiyu, let's go shopping with Lin Rui and then have lunch together, okay?"
Before Guo Feiyu could respond, Lin Rui quickly agreed, "Yes, yes! I was just thinking about going shopping. I'd love to join you." She looked at Guo Feiyu with eager eyes, completely dropping her diva persona. All she wanted was to have the man she admired accompany her shopping and chat with her.
Guo Feiyu looked at Zhang Ya with a mischievous smile and said, "Ya'er, after what we did last night, can you really handle shopping today? Even if you can, your husband can't bear to see you push yourself."
Zhang Ya thought for a moment and realized he was right. Every time she tensed her legs, a dull ache lingered below—reminding her of the night before. Her face turned red, and she pouted, "It's all your fault! Now I can't even go shopping." She turned to the confused Lin Rui and apologized, "Lin Rui, I'm afraid I can't go shopping with you today."
"It's okay if we don't shop—I'll go wherever you two go," Lin Rui said anxiously.
Zhang Ya looked at the somewhat flustered Lin Rui in surprise, then turned to Guo Feiyu, who looked calm as ever. She acted coquettishly, "Feiyu, we'll only shop for two hours, then it'll be lunchtime. Two hours won't tire me out."
Guo Feiyu nodded helplessly. Since his sports car could only seat two people, the three of them got into Lin Rui's BMW. Lin Rui was over the moon—her hands on the steering wheel trembled slightly with excitement. Zhang Ya, sitting beside her, was equally thrilled. Who wouldn't be excited to go shopping with their idol? The two chattered away like long-lost best friends.
Guo Feiyu sat in the back seat with a frown, not saying a word. As the saying goes, whatever you fear most is bound to happen. Sigh, he just had bad luck when it came to these things, he thought, glancing out the car window.
They shopped, had lunch, then shopped some more. The two women nearly wore out the physically strong Guo Feiyu. When the stores closed, he let out a long sigh of relief, walking out with countless shopping bags hanging off him.
After dinner at a restaurant, Lin Rui and Zhang Ya decided to head to Dynasty Bar—the biggest bar in City H—to let loose. Guo Feiyu silently cursed Lin Rui in his heart.
The three drove to Dynasty Bar, found an empty table, and sat down. As soon as Lin Rui and Zhang Ya appeared, they captured everyone's attention. Lin Rui had dressed up specially, and with the dim lighting in the bar, no one recognized the Asian superstar—but her stunning beauty was impossible to hide.
Countless eyes in the bar turned to Guo Feiyu's table, filled with surprise, admiration, and jealousy. He was used to such stares and paid them no mind. He waved over a waiter and ordered two bottles of red wine.
Upbeat music blared in the bar, and people swarmed the dance floor, twisting their bodies to the rhythm. Upon hearing the music, Lin Rui glanced at Guo Feiyu and walked onto the dance floor. The guys in the bar whistled loudly as the beautiful woman stepped onto the floor.
On the dance floor, Lin Rui danced wildly, moving her seductive body with abandon. Her soft, slender waist, perky buttocks, and long legs swayed rhythmically—every movement was enchanting. Everyone on the dance floor stopped to watch her captivating dance.
When the music ended, Lin Rui flipped her flowing hair and walked off the dance floor. Whistles and applause erupted in the bar. She sat down next to Guo Feiyu, looked at him with affectionate eyes, and said softly, "Did you like my dance?"
Guo Feiyu smiled and nodded. Zhang Ya clapped excitedly, "Lin Rui, you danced so well! You almost mesmerized everyone around you."
A dozen young men dressed in outlandish clothes stumbled toward them. The leader had an arrogant smirk, as if he were invincible. When they reached Guo Feiyu's table, the conceited young man tapped the table roughly, grinned, and said, "Guy, your girls are hot. Lend them to us for a good time."
Lin Rui flew into a rage and was about to stand up and yell at them, but Zhang Ya grabbed her arm and winked.
Guo Feiyu smiled faintly and said, "Leave now. I don't want to resort to violence today."
"Arrogant bastard! Do you know which gang we're from? The Feiyu Gang! No one in City H dares to say no to us," the leader shouted.
Upon hearing "Feiyu Gang," Guo Feiyu almost spat out the red wine in his mouth. He quickly wiped the wine from the corner of his mouth with a napkin. He looked up, amused, and said, "Oh, so you're big shots from the Feiyu Gang. I'm absolutely terrified."
The young man stared at Guo Feiyu for a long time, not detecting the slightest hint of fear. He thought the guy must be an idiot—being unafraid of the Feiyu Gang was asking for death.
Chapter 17 Bar Turmoil
"Are you out of your mind? Now that you know we're from the Feiyu Gang, get lost and leave your two girls here. We'll let you off easy," the leader snarled, his eyes wandering greedily over Zhang Ya and Lin Rui.
"The Feiyu Gang actually has scumbags like you. You're an embarrassment to me," Guo Feiyu said coldly. If they weren't from the Feiyu Gang, he would have broken their necks already. He stared at the men with a frosty gaze.
"How dare you insult us! You're so cocky! I'll bleed you today and let you know the power of the Feiyu Gang," the leader shouted. The dozen men behind him pulled out switchblades.
A middle-aged man led a dozen security guards over in a hurry and said to the young man, "Tian Fei, don't cause trouble here. Our boss has a close relationship with your leader. Take it outside if you want to fight."
Tian Fei glanced at the middle-aged man disdainfully, lit a cigarette, and struck a pose he thought was charming. He said lazily, "What's your boss worth? Even your boss has to curry favor with my leader. Get lost—don't ruin my chance to pick up girls."
Guo Feiyu was confused. Could the "leader" Tian Fei was referring to be Cao Hu? The general manager of Feiyu Group wouldn't need to recruit gang members personally. He decided to see who this leader was and teach him how to discipline his subordinates.
The middle-aged man had already realized Guo Feiyu was no ordinary person. He had wanted to give Tian Fei a way out and let him leave quickly, but Tian Fei was being an idiot. He felt anxious, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.
"Tian Fei, please give me face. Don't cause trouble here," the middle-aged man begged.
"How much is your face worth? Get lost, or I'll take you down too," Tian Fei said arrogantly.
"Who's your leader? Call him over. I'll teach him how to discipline his men," Guo Feiyu glanced at Tian Fei with disdain.
"Who the hell dares to teach me how to discipline my men? I'll make sure he leaves Dynasty Bar on a stretcher today!" a bull-like voice boomed. Guo Feiyu looked up and saw a large group of people walking toward him. "Brother Biao! Brother Biao!" people in the bar greeted him one after another.
"Let me see which blind bastard wants to teach me Dong Biao how to manage my men," Dong Biao said with a sneer.
Dong Biao walked swaggeringly up to Guo Feiyu. When he saw Guo Feiyu, he almost collapsed. A chill ran down his spine and into his head, making it buzz. He stood frozen in place. Guo Feiyu smiled faintly at him and slowly raised his wine glass to take a sip. To him, Guo Feiyu's smile was no different from the smile of the god of death. He trembled and said respectfully, "Young Master Guo—I'm so sorry!"
Everyone around was stunned when they heard this. Tian Fei gasped, and the half-smoked cigarette in his mouth almost slipped into his throat. He coughed violently before spitting it out and asking confusedly, "Leader, who is this guy?"
Dong Biao's face turned livid. He turned around and slapped Tian Fei hard across the face. Tian Fei spun around twice, feeling wronged. "Leader, why did you hit me? I didn't do anything wrong!"
"I not only hit you—I'll cripple you! Do you know who you're being arrogant to?" Dong Biao roared.
"No... I've never seen him before," Tian Fei shook his head, rubbing his swollen cheek.
Everyone in the bar pricked up their ears, curious about the young man with two beautiful women by his side.
Dong Biao kicked Tian Fei again and shouted loudly, "Young Master Guo is my leader's leader—the chairman of Feiyu Group!"
When Tian Fei realized who the young man was, he was completely dumbfounded. Every gangster in the underworld knew about Guo Feiyu's deeds. He felt a cold wind blow down the back of his neck, as if a machete was pressed against his throat.
Guo Feiyu looked at the crowd and said to Dong Biao, "Drag him out and break his limbs. For the others with him, break one arm each."
Dong Biao nodded respectfully, then waved his hand at his men and said, "Drag them out!" Dozens of his subordinates swarmed forward, dragging the dozen foolish troublemakers out.
Guo Feiyu finished the remaining red wine in his glass in one gulp, then said to Zhang Ya and Lin Rui, "That's it for today's activities. Let's leave."
Lin Rui looked at Guo Feiyu with stars in her eyes and nodded involuntarily. She admired him more than ever—he was the perfect man in her eyes. Zhang Ya pulled Lin Rui's hand and smiled, "Lin Rui, don't be scared. Let's go." Lin Rui blushed, thinking: I'm not scared—I'm just captivated by your husband.
Guo Feiyu left Dynasty Bar with two superstars by his side, and everyone in the bar looked at him with admiration.
The next day, Guo Feiyu appeared in the classroom. During class, he was still playing with his handheld computer. Seeing that he either skipped class or didn't listen when he came, Zhang Ya whispered to him, "The midterm exam is in a few days. Are you not going to take it, Feiyu?"
Guo Feiyu looked up seriously and said, "Of course I will. I'm even going to surpass you and become the top of the grade."
Zhang Ya turned around and touched his forehead teasingly, "You don't have a fever, so why are you talking nonsense?"
Guo Feiyu looked at her confidently and said, "If there are no accidents, I should get full marks in all subjects."
"Tch, keep dreaming. You'll probably get zero in every subject," Zhang Ya said disbelievingly.
"We'll see after the exam. Trust your husband's ability. If I do well, you have to give me a reward... in that way," Guo Feiyu said with a mischievous smile.
"In which way?" Zhang Ya asked confusedly. But when she saw his mischievous grin, she immediately understood what he meant. Her face turned bright red, and she stretched out her two slender fingers—the ones that made Guo Feiyu tremble with fear—straight for his waist.
Guo Feiyu, who had been on guard, grabbed her hand, glanced at the teacher on the podium, and whispered, "Ya'er, the teacher is looking at you."
Zhang Ya was startled and turned to the podium, only to find that the teacher wasn't looking their way at all. She pouted and ignored him.
How could the teacher on the podium not notice the commotion below? But he didn't dare to provoke Guo Feiyu. If he accidentally interrupted the young couple's flirting, he would be in big trouble. So he avoided looking in Guo Feiyu's direction entirely.
After having lunch with Zhang Ya, Guo Feiyu had just entered the classroom when Cao Hu called, saying he had something to discuss. He drove to Feiyu Group immediately.
As soon as he entered the office, Cao Hu couldn't wait to say, "Chairman, our clubs and Feiyu Gang branch in City T were attacked again. Three clubs were vandalized in a row, and our branch was besieged. More than twenty people were injured, and two were killed."
"I told you to handle it with full authority. Why can't you even do this? Have you found out who's responsible?" Guo Feiyu said in a deep voice.
"We have. It was led by the Haixing Gang. They're very powerful—one of the three major gangs in the north. So I didn't dare make a decision without consulting you, Chairman," Cao Hu replied.
"The Haixing Gang... It seems this big fish can't hold its breath anymore," Guo Feiyu said. "Inform Zhang Qiang—I'll give him one more month. Those men must be fully trained by then. For this month, we need to endure as much as possible and not take the initiative to conflict with the Haixing Gang. You can leave if there's nothing else."
"I understand, Chairman," Cao Hu said, then left the office.
