Chapter 204: Sealing the Dragon Vein, Return
...
Deep in the desert, at the ruins of Roran.
Underground altar space.
Swish!
The ground buzzed and vibrated. On the altar, the blue light pillar representing the Dragon Vein shot into the sky.
Then it rapidly dissipated into wisps of light.
A figure appeared on the spot.
It was Konan, returning from the future parallel world.
"We're back..." Her eyes were dazed, feeling like a lifetime had passed.
She looked around.
It was still dilapidated and uninhabited.
Exactly the same as when they left, unchanged.
She had seen Roran still existing in the past parallel world.
Same place, different timelines.
Splendor and ruin, the changes of the world.
Alex floated up, bobbing in mid-air.
This trip to the past and future had yielded a bountiful harvest.
Collected seventeen Tailed Beasts, recovered the Rinnegan and the Giant Tenseigan.
Also made up for the regrets of the trio in two worlds.
The trip's goals were considered achieved.
It was just that after briefly traveling through the past and returning, inevitable complexity and melancholy rose in the heart.
This was a normal emotional change after time travel and witnessing the past and future.
"Konan." Alex gently stroked Konan's cheek. "Have you adjusted?"
Konan let out a long breath, steadied herself, and sighed. "This trip to the past and future stirred up a lot of feelings..."
Changing her own fate in the past, and making up for the regrets of the future trio.
It was all closely related to her.
"It's over..." she murmured. "The past and future aren't my world; the present is."
The waves in her heart gradually calmed, returning to her usual coolness.
"Alex, what's next...?"
"Next..." Alex smiled, looking at the Dragon Vein. "Naturally, we pack up the Dragon Vein first."
This Dragon Vein, composed entirely of natural energy and capable of absorbing space-time power, was precious.
It had a lot of research value and utility; it couldn't be missed.
A Sealing Paper floated leisurely from his paper body.
It flew directly into the deep underground hole where the Dragon Vein was located.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
In the next instant, the Sealing Paper erupted with super-strong sealing power.
Rapidly sucking in the Dragon Vein.
This Sealing Paper was created by Alex combining the Dragon Vein secret technique contributed by Queen Sara and numerous other sealing techniques.
Specifically for sealing the Dragon Vein.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
The ground trembled incessantly.
Quite a few rocks fell from the rock walls above.
But that was it; the intensity of the vibration was within an acceptable range and wouldn't cause the underground space to collapse.
The Dragon Vein in the deep hole rushed into the Sealing Paper in an orderly manner, like a dragon drinking water.
Sealing Jutsu was the bug of this Ninja World; nothing could not be sealed.
Let alone Alex's custom-made Sealing Paper. Sealing the Dragon Vein was a piece of cake.
It took nearly half an hour of sucking to complete the seal.
Storing the entire Dragon Vein into the Sealing Paper showed just how vast and massive the Dragon Vein's power was.
The ground stopped vibrating simultaneously.
The underground space returned to silence.
The paper floated out from the hole, its surface occasionally flashing with blue light.
That was the power of the Dragon Vein.
It was indeed too vast, causing some changes to the paper itself; but it was limited to that, causing no harm or loss of control.
"Seal complete!" Alex happily examined the Dragon Vein Sealing Paper, then put it away.
"Alex." Konan asked curiously, "With this Dragon Vein, if we can thoroughly master it or learn its space-time power, can we go to past and future parallel worlds again?"
"Not just that." Alex nodded, affirming. "If we really figure out the Dragon Vein's space-time power and master it, we shouldn't be limited to just those two parallel worlds of past and future. Perhaps we can go to more worlds we don't know about."
There were other parallel worlds, and also completely strange worlds.
"The worlds are many and vast, practically endless." Alex lay back on Konan, his voice light. "After the Ninja World's matters are over, we'll go explore those endless worlds one by one."
Konan smiled gently. "Okay."
"Things here are done." Alex took one last look at the Roran ruins. "Time to go..."
Then swish, they disappeared, using the Flying Thunder God to teleport away.
Leaving only fading words.
This underground space returned to deathly silence and darkness.
The entire Roran ruins deep in the desert continued to be eroded by wind and sand.
One day, it would be buried underground like in the future parallel world, completely disappearing without a trace.
That once-existing Kingdom of Roran would only become a legend in a few memories.
Finally submerged in time, remembered by no one but Konan and Alex.
.....
Land of Swamps.
It was late morning, and the sun was bright.
Due to the countless lakes and water systems on the ground, water vapor evaporated and rose, forming massive clouds in the sky.
The Sky Fortress was hidden within a vast sea of clouds high above.
Concealed without a trace.
Faithfully executing Konan's orders before she left, it hadn't been detected by the winged White Zetsu.
On the spacious deck.
Water flowed gently, and the scent of flowers overflowed.
Filled with greenery, it was pleasing to the eye.
Kameda carried a wooden bucket on his chest, containing iced fruit juice.
Every day after finishing his assigned work, he would stand on the deck first thing.
Waiting for Lady Konan's return so he could provide a glass of iced fruit juice at any time.
"Half a month..."
He calculated the time secretly, feeling a bit anxious.
Lady Konan had been gone for half a month this time, longer than ever before.
He couldn't help worrying if some accident had happened...
Then he quickly shook his head. With Lady Konan's super strength, how could there be an accident?
I must be overthinking it...
By the canal.
Honoka, Shion, Hinata, Ryuzetsu, and Samui sat on the lawn.
Rolling up their pant legs, they dipped their feet in the flowing clear water.
Their white calves were dazzling.
They had just finished training all morning and were taking a temporary nap.
During the time Konan was away, they basically spent their time like this.
Training, napping, training—trying to improve their strength as much as possible to help Konan in the future.
"Phew..." Shion exhaled a long breath, her cheeks flushed from exercise. "When will Lady Konan return..."
Strands of pale golden hair stuck to her collarbone, looking very alluring.
"Maybe she'll be back soon," Ryuzetsu said uncertainly.
Without her headscarf, her silver-white long hair draped down freely, catching the eye.
Samui massaged her shoulders and sighed. "I don't know what's going on; my shoulders have felt sore lately."
Seemingly complaining, but actually showing off.
The other girls subconsciously looked at the huge mounds standing proudly.
Really huge, simply inhuman.
Honoka said sourly, "I really don't know how those things of yours grew..."
Samui chuckled, deliberately straightening her body to let her sisters see more clearly.
"Can't help it. Both Lady Konan and Lord Alex like them..."
"Lord Alex..." Hinata and Shion looked at each other, both blushing.
That sheet of white paper called Lord Alex always liked to bully the two of them.
Though they liked it too.
When Lady Konan introduced Lord Alex's existence, they were surprised.
But they soon discovered the eccentricity of that white paper and quickly accepted it.
Then, during one session of guidance after another, the guidance went deeper...
Half a month without guidance, they missed it quite a bit...
Swish!
Just then, a figure emerged from the void.
It was the returning Konan.
