Chapter 200 - The 'Yarlin'

Looking at Erica's appearance at this moment, Lex quickly made a decision: try to expel Yarlin from her body; if they could be separated, that would be best, but if not, he would have no choice but to eliminate the girl along with it.

Lex immediately took a tin pot from his pocket and threw it towards Erica's head.

The three eyes of the girl possessed by Yarlin showed a blank, numb expression, which made Lex feel that Yarlin's state was incomplete, with a sense of deficiency.

The girl in the coffin raised her head, looking at the tin pot that had come to rest above her.

Suddenly, a flash of crimson streaked across, and a fire crow, condensed from flames, glided down, crashing into the iron pot, blooming with fiery light, shattering the pot, and causing the holy water inside to pour down into the wooden coffin, onto Erica's body.

The girl immediately shrieked, and as she screamed, her voice changed from a youthful female voice to a deep male voice.

Illusory smoke rose from her body, but the thing inside her did not leave the girl because of a pot of holy water.

Erica stood up in the wooden coffin, one hand tightly gripping a bone, which looked like the humerus of an upper arm; the bone was covered with dense symbols, likely an ancient artifact of the Terrence Family.

But it was not like the 'dark green bone' her sister mentioned; it was clearly grayish-white.

Erica held the humerus like a scepter, pointing it at Lex.

The Undead gathered around the wooden coffin, as if receiving orders from Soldiers, rushed towards Lex in various ways.

Lex unhurriedly unscrewed another bottle of holy water and sprinkled it around; these Undead, splashed by the holy water, let out illusory screams and disappeared into the air.

At the same time, Lex snapped his fingers, and several streams of fire shot out, accurately landing where he had previously placed the matchboxes, causing crimson flames to rise from those corners, illuminating the cemetery.

Inside the wooden coffin, Erica raised her left hand towards Lex; on her pale, slender arm, terrifying and grotesque faces bulged from beneath the skin.

Her arm then blurred, becoming somewhat transparent, and expanded rapidly, reaching out to grab Lex!

Lex's spiritual sense was warning him; his intuition told him that if he were caught by that illusory arm, something bad would happen.

This ethereal arm came extremely fast, grabbing Lex in an instant, but Lex's figure suddenly thinned, like a thin piece of paper, torn apart by Erica's ethereal hand, yet nothing happened.

At the same time, from a cluster of flames to Erica's left, Lex, carrying 'Devil May Cry', leaped out of the crimson.

The moment he appeared, the katana was drawn, and with a resolute posture, he remotely slashed down towards the girl in the wooden coffin.

As the blade slashed down, the sky brightened, followed by a magnificent and grand pillar of light, burning with golden-yellow flames, descending from the sky, engulfing the girl and the wooden coffin within it.

This was the Sacred Light of the Sun field, which restrains Undead and all defiled creatures.

Under its shroud, even the possessed Erica suffered a certain amount of damage.

Lex knew this clearly, but still used it resolutely.

If Yarlin and Erica could not be separated, then both could only be eliminated together!

If it was not suppressed now while Yarlin's state was incomplete, otherwise, once it acquired three Souls, it would likely be even more terrifying and difficult to deal with.

Perhaps the entire town would be razed by it.

Lex was glad Harribel was not here, glad his sister didn't have to do this.

For him, who had already stepped into the mysterious world, he believed he had more resilience and could better bear the guilt of having to kill Erica than his sister.

At this moment, Lex's eyes showed no change, even appearing somewhat cold and cruel.

However.

Yarlin was far more terrifying than Lex had imagined.

The remaining Undead were suddenly controlled by something, screaming as they threw themselves into the Holy Light, flying towards Erica's head.

As soon as the Souls of these Undead entered the Holy Light, they were quickly purified.

But by layering themselves, they shielded Erica, providing an opportunity for Yarlin.

The girl raised her head, and in the third eye on her forehead, a mysterious, illusory bronze door appeared.

Immediately after, ethereal, indescribable figures emerged from Erica's body, then rushed upwards, filling the 'voids' exposed by the decreasing number of Undead.

They replaced the Undead, resisting the Holy Light for Erica.

At the same time, an illusory demonic shadow with several human heads but a spider's body charged towards Lex.

This creature, seemingly from the Underworld, roared with all its heads simultaneously, then used its sharp forelimbs to fiercely stab towards Lex's chest.

Lex splashed the remaining holy water at it, which caused the human-headed spider some damage, but failed to purify it like the Undead.

It still moved its forelimbs, and Lex had to retreat, but was still grazed on the arm by its illusory, unreal claw.

His expression twisted instantly.

He felt an indescribable pain; his arm had no wound, his sleeve was not torn, yet Lex felt that his Soul had been injured.

This monster attacked his spiritual body!

The Sacred Light ended.

The mighty golden pillar of light disappeared into the air; only a few of the Undead and Underworld creatures remained above Erica's head, but they successfully allowed the girl and the thing inside her to withstand one attack from the Sacred Light.

Coupled with the monster that could attack the spiritual body, Lex unhesitatingly chose to retreat.

He swiftly passed the 'flame landmines' buried in the ground, while emitting an aura that disgusted non-human existences.

Although he retreated, he had another plan.

Lex wanted to lure Erica to Eberly Mountain, to the dangerous church there, hoping to use the dangers within to deal with Yarlin.

Erica was indeed drawn to him; the flame landmines behind Lex exploded one after another, but the girl's figure was not hindered by the explosions; a 'whirlwind' followed her like a shadow.

That 'whirlwind' was composed of the remaining Undead and Underworld creatures; they became Yarlin's shield.

As soon as he left the cemetery, Lex immediately ran towards Eberly Mountain, but when he looked back, he found that Yarlin had stopped; the girl it was attached to had turned around and was heading towards the town.

"Not good."

"It's more interested in harvesting Souls!"

"It's driven by instinct; it has no intelligence, so it has no intention of chasing me at all."

Lex frowned, making a quick assessment of his situation; he still had enough spiritual power remaining to release Sacred Light one more time.

But he wasn't sure if this second Sacred Light could completely eliminate Yarlin.

Given Yarlin's displayed bizarre methods, it was hard to guarantee it didn't have other trump cards for survival.

Suddenly, Lex saw the bone in Erica's hand and immediately had an idea.

The walking girl suddenly stopped; she raised her right hand.

The white bone she had been holding was gone at some point.

And at this moment, Erica's hollow, numb eyes gradually began to show vitality.
