Chapter 219 - Have a sweet dream

The Miss Aili must have received some special training, training specifically aimed at pleasing guests.

She wasn't just blindly flattering; sometimes she'd throw a small tantrum, but she knew when to stop, which only made her seem adorable, making people unconsciously like her and willing to spend money on her.

While Lex played the role of Green George, he calmly observed the young woman beside him with a sense of detachment from reality.

This was an unprecedented experience.

No wonder after using the Thousand-Faced Traveler, one needs to recall their original appearance; this is not only to restore one's true face but also a form of self-affirmation.

To tell oneself that the role is just a role, not one's true self.

Otherwise, this item indeed makes it very easy for one to get lost, to become confused.

It's very easy to forget one's true self.

During his time with Aili, Lex didn't forget to pay attention to the Intis man named Ryan; he found that other girls didn't dare approach him, so the boss, Lopez, had to personally step in.

Seeing the two enter the dance floor, Lex smiled, stood up, and bowed, extending his hand: "May I have one more dance with me?"

Aili's smile was radiant: "For you, a hundred dances would be fine."

Lex chuckled, his eyes lingering on Aili's budding chest, making his performance even more in line with 'Mr.

Green's' persona, and said: "That won't do; I'd feel bad."

They returned to the dance floor, keeping a distance of about seven or eight meters from Ryan and Lopez.

Lex found that even with the interference of music and voices, when he focused his mind to pay attention to Ryan and Lopez, he naturally heard their conversation.

This was a manifestation of the strengthening of the Hunter's abilities after promotion!

"Mr.

Ryan, I haven't seen you for several days; I thought you were tired of our girls here."

This was Lopez's voice.

Ryan's voice was deeper, as if he had something in his mouth: "I am very satisfied with Golden Rose, but I've been very busy recently, and I'll be even busier for the next two days."

"So, I made time to come tonight."

Lopez said with a curious tone: "Oh, what are you busy with? Is there anything more charming than the girls here?"

Ryan laughed twice, then said: "It's all damned work; the Ambassador is holding a ball on Thursday evening.

Tomorrow, the Ambassador will have a big cleaning, and we've hired 'Belling Cleaning Company'; they'll assign a cleaning team to come over."

"I have to bring my lads to keep a close watch, check their IDs, and do a lot of things, and that will last all day."

"However, the work on Thursday evening will be even heavier; every time we hold a reception, I get a headache, but our Ambassador enjoys it immensely."

Lopez giggled: "You're making me feel for you, but isn't there a saying that only those with outstanding abilities are entrusted with important tasks, and Mr.

Ryan must be the same."

"Madam, you truly know how to speak."

"I'm also outstanding in another area; would you like to try?"

"Oh my, Mr.

Ryan, please don't..."

Then they started to flirt.

Seeing that he couldn't gather any more useful information, Lex smiled slightly and said to Aili: "I'm tired; shall we go upstairs?"

Aili, of course, knew what going upstairs meant; her face flushed, but she obediently nodded: "Okay."

The room at Golden Rose was not much worse than a hotel suite.

Soft carpets covered the wooden floor, the bathroom and washroom were separate, there was a small living room with a sofa and a wine cabinet, oil paintings hung on the walls, and potted plants were in the corners.

As for the bedroom, it was relatively simpler, but the bed was huge!

Not to mention two people, even four could sleep comfortably.

This design was probably prepared for some extravagant guests with special preferences.

Lex opened the wine cabinet, picked out a bottle of red wine, and smiled at Aili: "Go take a bath, then let's have a drink first."

"Then you'll have to wait for me."

The young woman walked towards the bathroom, while Lex poured a suitable amount of wine into a stemmed glass, then took out a small glass bottle and dripped a few drops of the liquid from the bottle into the glass.

Next, he poured himself another glass of wine, carried both glasses to the sofa, and listened to the sounds of water coming from the bathroom.

A moment later, Aili emerged, wrapped only in a bath towel.

Water droplets still clung to the young woman's body, making her exceptionally alluring under the lights.

"This is yours."

Lex pushed the wine he had specially prepared for the young woman towards her.

Aili suspected nothing, picked up the glass, lightly touched Lex's glass, then smiled and drank it down.

A moment later, her eyes began to lose focus, and she swayed precariously.

Lex quickly supported her; Aili had already closed her eyes, emitting steady breaths; she had fallen asleep.

What he had dripped into her glass earlier was a powerful sedative, capable of quickly knocking someone out.

As a former 'rascal,' Lex knew exactly where to get it and had prepared in advance.

After sedating the young woman, Lex carried her into the bedroom, removed her bath towel, and then covered her body with a quilt.

Lightly flicking Aili's cheek with his finger, Lex smiled: "Have a good dream."

As Green George, he obviously couldn't stop there; he couldn't just drink with the girl in the hall without further action.

But Lex was unwilling to have a relationship with this poor girl, so he could only resort to this last measure.

The next day, when Aili woke up in a daze, she was first startled, looked around, then pulled back the covers to check, her face full of confusion.

Then she saw a red rose and a card placed on the nearby table.

It read:

'You were wonderful last night, Miss Aili, I like you very much.

I will come to find you again tonight; I hope you won't refuse.

I've already ordered breakfast for you; they should be delivering it soon.'

The signature was Green George.

"So that's his name."

Aili hugged the quilt, curled into a ball, picked up the red rose from the table, smelled it, and said with her eyes closed: "If only everyone were as gentle and considerate as Mr.

Green."

As she thought, for some reason, Aili started to cry.

She hugged the quilt, sobbing softly.

In the West District, on the fountain square in front of the Intis Ambassador, several men in blue worker's uniforms and duckbill caps occasionally looked towards the Embassy.

Some held black bread, others water bottles, eating a simple breakfast in a corner of the square.

A flock of white pigeons on the square flew up with a whoosh.

Behind the flying white pigeons, a middle-aged gentleman with a cane, dressed in formal wear, and wearing a semi-high silk top hat, walked towards the workers with a faint smile on his face.
