Chapter 350 - Purification Cannon

Leaving the Sea Wave Cathedral, Lex immediately returned to the hotel. He set up a simple altar, summoned the spirit world treasure chest painted with clown makeup, and after counting out 1000 pounds from his newly acquired fortune, he deposited the rest into the spirit world treasure chest.

Now, the spirit world treasure chest held 7800 pounds. If he received the bounty promised by the Wavebreaker's captain, Lex's savings were expected to break through ten thousand pounds.

This was just cash, not counting the 4700 pounds he still kept in an anonymous account, and the 8000 pounds in stocks held by Backlund lawyer Lynn.

"Counting it all up, I'm already a rich man with a net worth of twenty thousand pounds."

Lex shrugged his shoulders: "Unfortunately, it's still not enough to buy land and be ennobled."

After dinner, he came to an alley near the Red Theater. Lex glanced from afar at the famous brothel across the street, then ducked into the alley.

Soon, he found an unmarked private clinic in the alley.

Lex walked to the door, tapped it lightly, and the doctor's indifferent voice from inside said: "Come in."

Lex pushed open the door and saw a small room. Upon entering, there was a consultation counter, behind which was a reception area. Then there was a partition, and inside should be the examination room.

The entire clinic had only the doctor, and it seemed there were no patients.

"You're here." The doctor saw it was Lex, not only closing the door but also hanging a 'Temporarily Closed' sign outside.

He led Lex to sit in the reception area and asked: "Black tea or coffee?"

"Coffee, please." Lex casually looked around. The layout here matched the scene he had seen in his Dream Divination that afternoon.

A moment later, a cup of coffee was placed in front of Lex. After the doctor sat down opposite him, he said: "The place is a bit simple, but its advantage is being next to the Red Theater, so business is never a problem."

Lex looked at him with some confusion.

The doctor explained: "During the day, the Young Misses from the Red Theater come to see me. They have all sorts of problems. Although they don't always need treatment, even consultations help open up my channels."

"I believe it won't be long before I'm swamped with work."

Lex understood. The doctor intended to do business with the Young Misses from the brothel.

He smiled and said: "Have you been to the Beyonder gathering at the Fragrant Leaf Tavern?"

The doctor nodded: "I have, but there's no notary there. Although they have the formula I need, I'm worried it might be fake, so I didn't dare to buy it."

Lex took out the diviner coin and tossed it to the doctor.

The doctor's spirituality was touched by the coin, and he tentatively said: "Is this a magical item?"

"Yes, it's the diviner coin. With its help, you can appraise potion formulas."

"However, the divination statement must be precise and clear."

Lex carefully introduced the coin's usage to the doctor, and combined with his own experience, gave him several examples so that the doctor could successfully appraise formulas when he acquired them.

"Additionally."

Lex took out another thousand pounds and handed them to the doctor: "This is the 1000 pounds we agreed on last time. That batch of materials has been successfully sold."

The doctor accepted it without ceremony, nodding: "With the coin and this money, I believe it won't be long before I can become a 'Priest of Plenty'."

Lex smiled and nodded: "I look forward to it."

The doctor then asked: "What are your plans next?"

"As I said before, I'm going away for a while. If I need your help with anything during this time, I'll communicate with you by letter. I'll have a messenger deliver the letter to you."

"No problem. I'll also continue to inquire about the man named Raditz. I hope he visits the Red Theater to satisfy his physiological needs; that way, I'll find him sooner."

Lex secretly nodded to himself. It seemed the doctor's decision to open his clinic at the Red Theater wasn't purely for business reasons.

After conversing for a while longer, Lex departed.

The next morning, after breakfast, Lex arrived at the 'Lucky Star Hotel'.

He knocked on Danitz's door and saw that the Fourth Mate was already dressed. Aside from some bruises still on his face, Danitz looked quite well.

"You seem to have recovered quite a bit." Lex tossed an old leather suitcase, used to conceal his identity, to Danitz, "So, you carry this."

Danitz immediately felt a surge of anger: "Why? I'm not your servant!"

"Come on, maybe you can catch me..." Lex pinched his throat, imitating Danitz's tone.

"Shit, how long are you going to threaten me with that thing?" Danitz picked up the old suitcase with a look of humiliation.

Lex laughed: "This isn't a threat, it's a reminder, friend."

"Get lost, I'm not your friend." Danitz rudely pushed Lex aside and carried the suitcase towards the stairs.

They headed to the port, bought tickets for a ship to Graggs, and arrived at their destination that afternoon.

However, Danitz didn't take Lex into the city but detoured to a private port, then took a boat to the outer Sea.

"I thought we'd depart from Bayam port and board the Golden Dream by noon at the latest," Lex said, holding onto his hat which was almost blown away by the Sea breeze, facing the brilliant sunlight on the Sea.

Danitz grumbled: "Did a Zombie chew on your brain? How could the captain go to Bayam?"

Lex chuckled, not refuting. But he believed that even if Iceberg Admiral swaggered into Bayam now, the authorities would only turn a blind eye.

Because if Edwina appeared, it would mean Blood Admiral's operation failed, or simply didn't happen. In that case, Iceberg Admiral would surely respond afterwards. Rather than going to great lengths to deal with Iceberg Admiral, it would be better to let her return to the Sea to restrain Blood Admiral.

Nearly two hours later, Lex saw a sailing ship appear on the Sea ahead. It was dozens of meters long, looked very clean, and reflected a golden color in the sunlight.

It was as if the ship was made of gold.

The Golden Dream!

"When will I have my own exclusive ship?" Lex murmured.

As the fishing boat drew closer, Lex saw that the Golden Dream had a main cannon. Its barrel was covered with symbols and layers of patterns, and it even glowed with a Light. Although the Light was very faint, it was pure enough.

"How about it, impressive, right? That's our ship's main cannon, the Purification Cannon. Its power is immense, but it can only be used ten times," Danitz introduced proudly, "It requires six Priests of Light to perform a ritual, praying to the deities, to fill the main cannon with spirituality."

Priest of Light?

That's a Sequence 5 Beyonder of the 'Sun' Pathway, and it requires six of them!

Lex was greatly shaken. Both the sheer amount of mystical knowledge in the Golden Dream's main cannon and the grand gesture of needing six Priests of Light to perform a ritual to replenish its spirituality profoundly shocked him.

Purification Cannon, Priests of Light... Is Iceberg Admiral backed by the 'Eternal Sun' Church?
