Chapter 411 - New Job

Using Iceberg Admiral's chemical equipment, Lex successfully collected several bottles of hydrogen gas and stored them in pressure bottles designed by Melissa.

Although the bottles for storing hydrogen were metal, this gas could not be preserved for too long; if not used after a period, it would have to be collected again.

Back in his room, Lex had just sat down when a knock sounded at the door.

The knocks were not quite real, as if coming from a distance, with a certain illusory quality.

Could it be the old fox's messenger?

Lex cleared his throat and softly said, "Come in."

He simultaneously activated his Spiritual Vision and saw the headless messenger, dressed in a black suit, emerge from the door.

The messenger, always very polite in his appearances, bowed slightly to Lex, then took out an envelope from his bolsa and placed it on the table, smoothing it down several times before retreating.

Lex picked it up, cut open the envelope, and took out a letter from inside.

The letter was, of course, from Osweld, and written on it in an elegant and beautiful script were the words:

'My dear Duke, I hope you are still at Sea. I have a job here that I need you to complete.'

'Please go to Sonia Island soon, no later than mid-month. I need you to find a man on the island. His name is Siril, and he is a spice merchant.'

'Of course, that is just his superficial identity, but he does own his own plantation, runs a company, and has business dealings with merchants from Loen, Intis, and other countries.'

'However, in fact, he is one of our 'employees'. Recently, he discovered a Treasure Trove map, and I need you to retrieve this map and have my messenger bring it back.'

'Please note, Siril told me that others are interested in this Treasure Trove map, so you should be prepared for a fight. Of course, I believe you can handle it; I am not one to misjudge.'

'Oh, and there's some progress on the person you asked me to investigate, Mr. Celis Newman. If there is concrete news, I will inform you.'

'I wish you a pleasant Sunday, your old friend, Osweld.'

Sonia Island?

Treasure Trove map...

I hope the Antiquities Protection Society hasn't discovered the death god's treasure.

Hmm, Celis Newman also has some leads, but this old fox will surely offset it with my contributions. In other words, I shouldn't expect any benefits from this Sonia Island mission.

In front of the messenger, Lex burned the letter and said to it, "There's nothing else; you may leave."

The headless messenger took two steps back, placed a hand on its chest, bowed slightly, and then retreated into the wooden door, departing.

---

November 5th, monday.

At 3 PM, Lex, under the pretense of an afternoon nap, lay on his bed and saw the deep red, illusory Light rise before him, surging towards him.

When the Light in front of him disappeared, he saw towering temples, an ancient, mottled bronze long table, and around him and across from him, clusters of deep red light appearing and disappearing, and then the Tarot Club members successively appeared in the palace.

Audrey. Hall, in a good mood, looked around. She was undergoing observation by the Psychological Alchemists, and she was confident she could pass the test and join this hidden organization.

Once she became a member of this organization, she basically wouldn't have to worry about the next potion formula. At least, not until Sequence 5.

She cast her gaze to the head of the bronze long table, slightly lifted her skirt, and bowed.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~"

"Good afternoon, Mr. Chariot."

"Good afternoon."

The polite and well-mannered Justice Miss greeted all the members, her cheerful and ethereal voice breaking the silence Above the Gray fog, where it seemed even time did not flow.

At the same time, as a Telepathist, she subconsciously observed the state of the other members.

The 'Sun' seemed very uneasy, very anxious. What, did the captain of the former exploration team have an accident, and the Silver City encounter Amon?

Fors looked as if she wanted to speak but hesitated. She must have read the newspaper and guessed from the Tarot cards that the recent Capin case was related to our Tarot Club. She seemed to be even more in awe of Mr. Fool, which is a good thing.

The 'Hanged Man' Mr.'s mood was very good; his potion should have been fully digested. He occasionally looked towards Mr. Chariot, so it seemed that the matter Mr. Chariot entrusted to him had some progress or a change?

Mr. Chariot was still the same. His emotions were flamboyant but not high-strung. He always seemed very sunny and cheerful, which was completely different from Mr. World.

Mr. World was still so gloomy and introverted, truly a great restraint for an 'Spectator'!

After all the Tarot Club members greeted The Fool, the 'Hanged Man' Alger bowed towards the figure obscured by the fog at the head of the bronze long table and said, "Respected Mr. Fool, I have obtained three pages of Roselle's diary."

Behind the long table, Mr. Fool said calmly and leisurely, "Good, what reward do you want?"

Alger suppressed his intense eagerness and said, "I want to know what that card next to you is."

I know that.

Lex and Audrey almost simultaneously had this thought.

It seems the 'Hanged Man' has always been interested in the blasphemy card, but has been constrained by lack of opportunity, which is why he has always restrained himself. Lex let his thoughts wander and casually looked around.

So, with the so-called Roselle's diary, one could exchange for answers to certain questions from Mr. Fool, and perhaps even exchange for items!

Fors suddenly felt a pang of regret: "I've come across it many times, but I never bought it because I wasn't interested. If only I had known..."

She felt she was too foolish, as if she had missed out on a hundred million pound.

"You may."

"Do you wish for everyone to hear, or only for yourself to know?"

Behind the Gray fog, Klein said calmly.

The 'Hanged Man' Alger said without the slightest hesitation, "Only for myself to know."

So Lex and the others' senses were shielded for a moment.

After displaying the blasphemy card, three yellowish-brown parchment pages came into Klein's hands. He let his gaze appear very casual, but in reality, he focused intently on the paper.

"March 15th, I am indeed the protagonist! Relying solely on some archaeological clues and folklore rumors, I found a ghost ship left by the Solomon Empire near the Aurak Archipelago at the edge of the Fog Sea, the ancient 'Black King'!

"It's truly magnificent!

"There are also some ancient books on it, including a Treasure Trove map pointing to an Unnamed Island. That was the last settlement of a great noble of the Solomon Empire who retreated from the North Continent, and everything he left behind is there!

"This Treasure Trove will surely belong to me!"

Klein read page after page. When he reached the third page, he couldn't help but doubt his many years of Chinese education, because it was heavily filled with sentences similar to the following:

"Ahri invited people's mansion inside."

What is this?
