Chapter 471 - Amyrius

On Sunday morning, Lex leisurely enjoyed breakfast, but his heart was far from relaxed.

After bidding farewell to the Golden Dream last night, he and Ken Angus returned to Sonia Island. The Wavebreaker's captain left overnight, and he would now assist the Iceberg Admiral in attracting the pirates' attention and secretly protecting the Golden Dream.

Because Lex had already visited the temporary base on the east side of Sonia Island and had a relatively deep understanding of the entire matter, Ken Angus asked him to stay on the island and await the arrival of Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt, so he could assist or provide appropriate advice.

The thought of meeting the Kingdom's Admiral, the highest naval commander in the Central Sonia Sea, filled Lex with excitement. This was the first major figure at the top of the Loen Kingdom's power Pyramid he had encountered since his Transmigration.

But at the same time, there was worry, concern that working under such a powerful figure would bring many inconveniences, and even expose some of his secrets.

However, even if he didn't interact with them today, there would come a day when he would have to interact with these important figures, unless he didn't want to continue on his current path, or unless he couldn't become a high-Sequence Beyonder.

Otherwise, he would eventually have to enter that circle.

"Consider it advanced practice," Lex told himself, then ate the bread in his hand.

Suddenly, his Divine Sense was touched. He saw Mark. Worston, a Black Sail operative in this area who appeared to be a merchant, sitting in a nearby chair.

Mark raised his hand for breakfast, then picked up a newspaper, but a low voice sounded from behind the paper: "Three o'clock this afternoon, come to the dock. There's a meeting you need to attend."

After speaking, Mark was already quietly commenting on the newspaper's contents, as if he hadn't spoken to Lex at all.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Lex appeared on time near the dock. When he didn't know where the meeting would be held, a dockworker bumped into him.

Lex's Divine Sense told him that something extra was in his pocket. He reached in and felt a slip of paper.

He calmly unfolded the slip, which contained information about a sailboat. Lex casually rubbed it, and the slip instantly turned to ash, flying out from between his fingers, carried by the wind into the distance.

He found the sailboat indicated on the slip, and with a natural expression, boarded the gangway. When he reached the deck, a Bearded Man who looked like a captain shouted at him, spittle flying: "Why are you only just arriving? Get to the kitchen and work!"

Lex quickly nodded and entered the cabin. Whenever he didn't know which way to go to the kitchen, a crew member would pass by him and point the way.

A moment later, Lex arrived in the kitchen. Before he could figure out what was happening, a cook placed a wooden box in his hands: "Take this to the back warehouse, quickly!"

Lex carried the wooden box into the warehouse. Suddenly, his Divine Sense was touched, and then he felt something hard and cold pressed against the back of his head. His intuition told him it was the barrel of a revolver.

However, before entering, the fallen whisper had not triggered 'Malice Perception', which meant that the person holding the gun to him had no ill intent.

But then, Lex suddenly felt an unimaginable oppressive force. He felt as if currents of electricity were rapidly coursing through his mind, forming a barbed 'whip' that constantly lashed at his spirit, his Soul.

This 'feeling' seemed to come from the depths of his brain, formless and intangible, making him unable to resist, only able to tremble all over, his knees weak.

Immediately, Lex couldn't hold the wooden box and let it fall, spilling out some fruits.

He nearly stumbled, but fortunately, the person behind him caught him. Then, in the dim light of the warehouse's depths, a majestic voice rang out.

"Who are you?"

As these words left his mouth, Lex felt the invisible oppressive force intensify. The 'whip' lashing his brain seemed to be raised high, ready to strike him fiercely if he lied, inflicting extreme pain.

Very powerful.

This must be a Beyonder of the Arbitrator pathway. I remember that Sequence 7 of this pathway is called Interrogator!

Lex dared not and was unwilling to conceal anything. With slightly heavy breathing, he said, "I am Lex, Lex Disraeli. I belong to Black Sail, and I am currently a Navy Lieutenant."

The Interrogator in the darkness paused for a moment, then asked, "Is everything you said true?"

"Yes, all true."

After a brief silence, Lex suddenly felt the immense oppressive force and the mental 'whip' vanish.

As soon as the pressure disappeared, Lex immediately felt a wave of fatigue. Clearly, his mind and spirit had been enduring unimaginable heavy pressure just now. Under that pressure, he was completely unable to lie.

Then, lights came on, and Lex felt the revolver at the back of his head move away. He saw a table in front of him, covered with various documents, and a man sitting behind it.

Out of his Hunter's habit, Lex quickly took in the man's appearance and characteristics, finding them hard to forget.

The man before him, the one who had just 'interrogated' him, was of average build, not particularly robust. The corners of his mouth drooped slightly, his chin was clean-shaven, his eyes were azure, and his expression was stern, with a gaze that brooked no refusal or argument.

Lex suddenly realized. He knew who this man was.

He was Amyrius Rieveldt!

The Kingdom's highest naval commander in the Central Sonia Sea!

He had arrived so quickly. Sure enough, as a Demigod, he was not lacking in means or Beyonder individuals skilled in Teleportation.

No wonder he, already a Sequence 6, was still suppressed and nearly collapsed mentally and spiritually. It turned out that the one who had 'interrogated' him just now was a Demigod; that explained it.

After his gaze moved away from the Admiral, Lex then saw Mark. The Black Sail liaison stood behind the Admiral and now nodded slightly to Lex.

Then, Mark coughed lightly with a clenched fist and said to Lex, "This is General Amyrius, who has just arrived. He will preside over our operations on Sonia Island, leading us to seize the Teleportation item from the Feysac people and thwart their plan to attack Pritz Harbor."

Lex nodded gently. As the highest-ranking and strongest individual here, it was only natural for Amyrius to take charge of the overall situation.

Lex was relieved that he hadn't brought Kardashian with him to the meeting that afternoon, fearing being discovered. Otherwise, Kardashian's disguise might have been seen through by this Demigod.

Just as he was about to listen to Amyrius's grand plan, the naval commander unexpectedly said, "The Feysac people know me very well. If I were to devise the plan, there's a high probability it would be seen through by them, or even let them know that I am on Sonia Island."

"So this time, I want to hear your opinions."

"Especially Lieutenant Lex, since he was the one who uncovered the Feysac people's Conspiracy, alerting us in advance, so we wouldn't only discover it when the Feysac people arrived at our doorstep."

Amyrius looked up at Lex: "Therefore, as someone who understands the entire matter relatively well, Lieutenant Lex, what are your thoughts on the upcoming operation?"
