As Otto was about to tear open the letter delivered by the messenger, Levto said in a deep voice, "Your Excellency Shevic is the supreme commander of the base. This letter shouldn't be opened by Naval Colonel Otto, should it?"
Otto's expression changed slightly. He glanced at Shevic, a flash of Light in his eyes, then lowered his head and presented the letter.
Unexpectedly, Shevic said calmly, "You open it."
Levto looked at Your Excellency in confusion, but since Shevic had already made the decision, he naturally couldn't interfere further. He could only watch as Otto opened the envelope and took out a letter.
After quickly reading it, Otto cleared his throat and said, "Respected Your Excellency, the military's intention is to ask you to immediately report to the base about tonight's situation. As for the fleet here, Admiral Yegor Einhorn will arrive with his fleet tomorrow morning to rendezvous."
"He will take over the remaining fleet from you and command tomorrow's attack on Pritz Harbor."
After hearing this, Shevic had not yet expressed his stance, but the giant secretary roared, "How can this be!"
"From obtaining information about that item, to personally apprehending Morse, then ambushing the Rose School of Thought to seize 'clarence's gate', and finally formulating the surprise attack plan—these are all Your Excellency Shevic's painstaking efforts!"
"Now, because of an attack of unknown cause, you want to seize Your Excellency's achievements, you..."
"Levto!"
Shevic lightly reprimanded, "Enough."
Levto's chest heaved as if he might rush forward and act at any moment, causing the officers Otto brought to shrink back a few steps in fear.
Shevic looked at the Naval Colonel and said, "I don't know how you presented this to the Royal Family, but I am certain that by doing so, you have fallen into the opponent's trap."
"I don't mind Yegor commanding tomorrow's operation, but temporarily transferring a High Rank from the battlefield is definitely not a wise choice."
Otto lowered his head rationally and said, "This is the decision from above."
"Yes, it is."
Shevic smiled, "That's not something you can influence, you mean to say that, right, Naval Colonel Otto."
Otto remained silent.
Shevic turned around, "Give me ten minutes, I'll depart immediately for the naval base."
With that, he led Levto into the small building.
As soon as the door closed, the giant secretary said indignantly, "Your Excellency, why would the Royal Family do this? Can't they see that this is a Conspiracy targeting you, targeting the Empire?"
Shevic continued walking towards the second floor, "Believe me, Levto, they can see it. This isn't some particularly clever trick; anyone with a bit of sense can probably guess what's going on."
"If that's the case, why are they still doing it? As you said, the operation is about to begin tomorrow. Transferring a High Rank at this time is too foolish!"
Shevic sneered, "The reason is simple: because I am not Einhorn, I am not from this Family, and I am already a High Rank."
"If the operation proceeds smoothly tomorrow and war breaks out, there's a high probability I could be promoted to 'War Bishop' through this war. And the Royal Family would not be willing to see someone outside the Einhorn Family climb too high."
"So, even for such a transparent Conspiracy, they are willing to step into it, because it's a reasonable excuse they can use to restrict me."
Levto frowned slightly, "Since you already know, then..."
Shevic nodded gently, "I must go. If I don't, I won't be able to clear myself of suspicion. They will make a big deal out of this, and even hunt me."
"After all, my beyonder characteristics could lead to the Einhorn Family giving birth to another Iron-Blooded Knight, couldn't it?"
The giant secretary immediately fell silent.
Shevic said indifferently, "Don't worry about me. As long as I cooperate with the investigation, the Royal Family wouldn't dare to casually target me. As for the future, we'll talk about that later."
"Levto, after I leave, you must keep a close eye on 'clarence's gate'. However, from what I know of Yegor, he will definitely make you hand over that item."
"When that happens, just give it to him. Don't make any moves that defy orders, don't give him a chance to eliminate you. All you need to do is wait for me to return."
Levto puffed out his chest and said forcefully, "As you command, Your Excellency."
Shevic then nodded gently, pushed open the door, and went inside to change into his military uniform.
A moment later, a pillar of fire shot into the sky, then transformed into a massive Flame Lance, piercing through the air.
This long day finally passed.
At dawn, Lex appeared on Amyrius's hidden sailboat and was led to the warehouse by the captain.
Pushing open the warehouse door, Lex saw the Admiral. He seemed to have been awake all night, but his spirits were high.
"Your Excellency Admiral, I blew up the Feysac people's warships, including their flagship. At least one-third of the Feysac warships stationed on Sonia Island are unable to participate in the operation."
Lex took out the dark gold Charm and presented it with both hands, "This is the 'Ninth Law', I'm returning it to you now."
Amyrius nodded and put away the 'Ninth Law'. Seeing him put the Charm into his pocket, Lex felt a pang of regret.
This Advanced Charm was very useful; it could make its holder exude a High Rank-like prestige. If Amyrius had given it to him, and with those two High Rank items, Lex could have impersonated a High Rank in the future.
Unfortunately, Amyrius had no intention of giving him the 'Ninth Law'. Lex could only look at it enviously one last time before reluctantly withdrawing his gaze.
He did not report that he had impersonated Shevic and caused a ruckus. Perhaps this frame-up could sow seeds of discord between the Feysac Empire and a High Rank.
Perhaps in the future, this seed would take root and sprout, having unexpected effects.
The merit of creating trouble for a High Rank might even surpass that of blowing up those warships.
If this matter were reported, Lex's personal file would undoubtedly gain another significant entry. However, to avoid letting Amyrius grasp too many of his trump cards, Lex chose to conceal it.
Even so, one person destroying over twenty warships, including the flagship, especially since this did not happen on the battlefield but within the enemy's base, made it even more commendable.
Amyrius said with satisfaction, "You did very well. To destroy enemy warships in their base and escape unscathed, your ability is commendable."
"Even if the Feysac Empire insists on proceeding with the operation after losing so many warships, their combat strength will be greatly reduced."
Thump, thump, thump.
Footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door. Then the warehouse door opened, and the merchant Mark walked in with a solemn expression. He looked at Amyrius and said in a deep voice, "We just received news that another fleet from the Feysac Empire is about to arrive at Sonia Island. Leading this fleet is Feysac's Admiral, Yegor Einhorn!"
