Chapter 543 - Fragmented Information

At the door of Room 2012, the waiter knocked, and soon, the door opened, revealing a man in his thirties.

He had thick eyebrows, smooth skin, and appeared very well-maintained. His features were good, especially his eyes, which had a captivating gaze. He also sported a small mustache, giving him the overall appearance of a sophisticated gentleman.

"Good afternoon, sir, you have a visitor."

The man in the doorway paused for a second: "A visitor?"

At this moment, from behind the waiter, the exotic lady boldly stepped forward and extended her hand: "Hello, Mr. Tusk, I saw your missing person advertisement in the newspaper."

Besides the contact address, the missing person advertisement also included the contact person's name.

Therefore, the man behind the door was not too surprised. He fully opened the door and gracefully gestured, 'Please come in.'

Seeing this, the waiter smiled and departed.

"Beautiful lady, what should I call you?" Mr. Tusk warmly invited the beautiful lady to sit on the sofa.

"Marilyn." Pushing up the glasses on her nose, the lady said without concealment.

"Miss Marilyn, so you know Abrio?" Tusk gently tapped his forehead, "I'm sorry, I forgot to offer you tea. I only have black tea here, if you don't mind. Please wait a moment, I'll go prepare some tea for you."

Marilyn nodded: "Alright."

A moment later, Tusk brought two cups of black tea and then continued the previous topic: "Can you provide me with any leads on Mr. Abrio?"

"I'm afraid I wish I could, but I don't have any leads on this gentleman, I don't even know him." Marilyn picked up her cup, took a small sip, and said with a smile.

Tusk was stunned again: "Then you?"

Setting down her cup, Marilyn leaned slightly forward and lowered her voice: "I am a Detective. If you can provide detailed information about that gentleman, perhaps I can help you find him."

"A Detective?" Tusk looked at Marilyn in surprise, "Goddess above, a beautiful lady like you is a Detective?"

Marilyn smiled and said: "Why not? Mr. Tusk, you don't have some prejudice against women, do you?"

"No, no, no." Tusk hurriedly said, "I'm not that kind of person. I absolutely believe you have the capability. I'm just a little surprised. As expected of Backlund, the capabilities of women here are incredibly powerful."

Marilyn chuckled: "Thank you for the compliment. So, what do you think? I mean about finding Mr. Abrio."

Tusk nodded and said: "I am willing to hire you, Miss Marilyn. What kind of information do I need to provide?"

"Anything."

"For example, photos, or his background. I want to know who he is? What does he do for a living? Where has he lived? All this information will help me find him and bring him to you." Marilyn leaned back in her chair, using gestures that made her appear very experienced.

Tusk cleared his throat: "I don't have a photo, but I have his portrait. Please wait a moment."

He returned to the bedroom, and when he came out again, he was holding an oil painting. The painting depicted a man in his late thirties, nearly forty, mature and robust. He had brilliant blonde hair, which was long, reaching his shoulders.

"Hmm, I've noted his features." Marilyn nodded and professionally took out paper and a pen. "Next, let's talk about what kind of person this gentleman is."

More than an hour later.

Marilyn closed her notebook, put away her pen, and stood up, saying: "That's all for now. If there's any news, I'll inform you as soon as possible."

"As for the remuneration, let's discuss it once I have concrete information."

"Then I'll trouble you, madam."

Tusk escorted her to the door and watched the beautiful lady disappear down the staircase before returning to his room with a hint of melancholy.

Marilyn walked out of the Hat Trick Inn, passed through a small alley, came to another main street, and then climbed into a carriage parked by the side of the road.

Inside the carriage, Lex sat on a cushioned seat and asked: "How was it? Did you meet that gentleman?"

Marilyn, or rather, the lady who should be called Kardashian, sat down, her legs together, and nodded: "I met him."

"What does that Abrio look like?" Lex asked impatiently.

Kardashian made no movement, but her face began to squirm, transforming into a mature man's face. Her hair suddenly shortened and changed color.

In a flash, a person with alluring chest contours, wearing a fashionable dress of the moment, yet sporting a man's face, appeared before Lex's eyes.

It was a bit of an eyesore, but this Abrio looked exactly like the one I'd seen in my dreams. The face Kardashian just transformed into was the one I saw the first time I dreamed of him; it was Abrio nearing middle age!

Kardashian stroked her face, which then reverted to her alluring features, her blonde hair turning jet black and rapidly growing long again.

"Why do you look so bad?" she said.

Lex rubbed his temples and said: "I've seen this Mr. Abrio, in my dreams. I actually dreamed of a man, twice!"

Kardashian said expressionlessly: "Are you worried that your psychology is becoming abnormal? That you like men? It's alright, I can treat you."

"No, no." Lex quickly explained, "I still like beautiful and lovely women. It's just that I don't think I would see a stranger in my dreams for no reason."

"There must be some connection here that I don't know about."

"Did you get any information about this gentleman?"

Kardashian nodded imperceptibly and handed the recent records to Lex.

Looking at the passages of Ancient Feysac in the notebook, Lex was glad he had studied it, otherwise, he would have had to ask the lady to explain it to him personally.

"Abrio was quite active on the Sea. He was a Sailor and also a pirate?"

"His wife is Glyn Wins. They once lived on a certain Sea Island for a relatively long period?"

"Abrio once owned his own ship?"

Looking at the information, Lex found that there was no necessary connection between them; it was more like fragmented information.

From this information, Lex saw no trace of Abrio living in Backlund. So why would someone come to Backlund to look for him?

"Perhaps they are not looking for Abrio, but rather for someone who knows Abrio or knows of his existence," Lex made a simple judgment.

Kardashian said flatly: "If you let me hypnotize him, we would know the answer now, but unfortunately, you won't let me do that."

Lex shook his head and said: "I don't believe a stranger would inexplicably appear in my dreams. There might be some mysterious people or things involved. If I rashly hypnotize Tusk, I'm worried it might alert the people behind him."

"Believe me, the one looking for Abrio is definitely not this Mr. Tusk!"
