The final three days before departure, Bai Chen devoted entirely to digesting gains and boosting the team's strength.
The Monster Hunter world wasn't like the Pokémon world.
In the Pokémon world, except for legendary Pokémon, high-level Pokémon rarely existed in the wild — most belonged to trainers.
But in the Monster Hunter world?
Every frightening high-level creature lived freely in the wild.
And this time, when Bai Chen returned…
He would very likely face Elder Dragons directly.
No room for carelessness.
So he poured every last point of skill proficiency into strengthening his team.
• 1. Nergigante — Final Status Before Return
Even with her monstrous talent, Nergigante still couldn't fully suppress the killing urge of her "First Gear."
But after a month of training and battles, her level had risen from 36 → 39.
Her new move list:
Nergigante — Lv.39
Skills:
★7 Ancient Dragon Blood
★8 Super Regeneration
★8 Ultra: Power Incarnate
★7 Regenerating Thorns
★7 Nergigante Palm
★7 Nergigante Smash
★7 Dragonseal Force
★5 Blade Storm
★6 Nature's Power
★4 Bulk Up
★8 Ultimate Aura
★6 Close Combat
★6 Shift Gear (learned via Sketch)
★2 Minimize
Every skill except Shift Gear and Minimize was now Expert or Master level.
Five of them had reached Master:
Ultra: Power Incarnate
Super Regeneration
Regenerating Thorns
Nature's Power
Ultimate Aura
Her improvement was absurd.
Compared to her state two months ago?
She wasn't growing — she was skyrocketing.
She now completely surpassed Gym Leader aces like Hala's Hariyama and Olivia's Lycanroc.
With her First Gear activated,
she was unquestionably the strongest member of the entire team.
• 2. Zinogre — Second Strongest
Level: 43
His move list had undergone major evolution:
Zinogre — Lv 43
★7 Supercharged State
★7 Ancient Dragon Blood
★8 Ultra: Thunder Incarnate
★6 High-Voltage Thunder
★5 Lightning Strike Fist
★7 Ten-Thousandfold Thunderstorm
★4 Thunderbug Round
★7 Calamity Thunder
★7 Super Volt
★6 Electric Terrain
★8 Ultimate Aura
★2 Minimize
Every combat skill except Minimize and Thunderbug Round was Expert or above.
Five were Master's level:
Supercharged State
Ultra: Thunder Incarnate
Ancient Dragon Blood
High-Voltage Thunder
Ultimate Aura
He could now enter Supercharged State instantly — and maintain it for over ten minutes naturally, and for hours with Thunderbugs.
His Sketch ability had not been used yet.
He still had ONE irreversible chance to learn a perfect, game-changing move.
And most shocking of all…
Bai Chen could no longer restrain him.
Sparring results were now:
Zinogre vs. Bai Chen → 7 : 3
Against Nergigante?
Still unwinnable.
• 3. Bai Chen — Level 40
His abilities had grown enormously, especially his telekinesis.
Bai Chen — Lv.40
Skills:
★7 Ancient Dragon Blood
★8 Super Regeneration
★8 Ultra: Titan Body
★6 Super Perception
★7 Aura Combat
★2 Quick Attack
★7 Dragonseal Force
★5 Wide Quick Guard
★4 Agility
★4 Bulk Up
★8 Ultimate Aura
★6 Close Combat
★2 Focus Energy
★5 Rest
★6 Nature's Power
★7 Super Psychic
Sixteen total skills — the highest variety in the team.
His two biggest upgrades:
Wide Quick Guard
A fusion of
Quick Guard
Lycanroc's Wide Guard variant
Now, a wide-area, instant protection skill.
Super Psychic
He could now fight normally with a longsword
AND telekinetically control a second blade simultaneously.
Aura Hardening (his upgrade path for Aura Combat) still lagged — he couldn't stack Aura Manifestation + Aura Hardening yet.
Skill mastery:
All Expert+ except Rest.
Five were Master's level:
Ultra: Titan Body
Nature's Power
Aura Combat
Ultimate Aura
Super Psychic
In real combat?
Bai Chen was now confident he could solo the Rathalos he once struggled against.
• 4. Basarios
Level: 40
Compared to the others, his skill list was short — but brutally efficient:
Basarios — Lv.40
★8 Ultra Flame Stream Cannon
★7 Ancient Dragon Blood
★8 Ultra: Volcano Might
★4 Toxic Gas Burst
★7 Ultra Devour
★6 Heavy Slam Burst
★4 Iron Defense
★8 Ultimate Aura
★2 Minimize
Only nine skills — but all except Minimize were at Expert, with:
Ultra Flame Cannon — Master
Ultra Devour — Master
Ultimate Aura — Master
His damage output relied almost entirely on:
His absurd body mass
Flame Cannon
And both were truly terrifying.
• 5. Indeedee
Level: 34 → 35.
She wasn't trained for offense — she was the team's core support.
Indeedee — Lv.35
★7 Maid's Psychic
★8 Maid's Strength
★4 Emotion Collection
★4 Psybeam
★4 Helping Hand
★3 Follow Me
★6 Healing Wish
★4 Hypnosis
★5 Multi-Lock
Her two key skills were upgraded to Master:
Maid's Psychic
Multi-Lock
Most importantly, she could now:
Operate THREE heavy crossbows at once
with psychic control + Multi-Lock + natural multitasking talent.
Her firepower wasn't tied to her stats —
It was tied to her ammunition.
Which made her terrifying.
In terms of Skill Proficiency, all her other skills were randomly boosted; Bai Chen did not specifically use Skill Proficiency to enhance her abilities.
Only [Maid Psychic] and [Multi-Lock] were boosted to Master level by Bai Chen.
Her output relies entirely on the Heavy Bowguns she carries.
Tinkatuff has already completed the forging of three Heavy Bowguns for her.
One is the 'Stealth Sniper' capable of using [Sniper Wyvern Bullet], with three enhancement slots filled with one [Sniper Wyvern Bullet Modification], one [Long-Range Attack Augment], and one [Super Critical Scope Augment]. The accessory is an 'Artillery Jewel,' which increases the heavy bowgun's damage.
The other two are Anjanath Cannons capable of using [Cluster Bomb], with three upgrade parts for the heavy bowguns using [Cluster Bomb Mod] and two[Close-Range Attack Augments], and the accessory decoration is also a [Artillery Jewel].
Unlike Bai Chen, Indeedee learned how to multitask a long time ago.
Now, with the [Multi-Lock] move and her powerful Psychic moves, she can fully control three Heavy Bowguns for combat at once.
Unlike Bai Chen, whose combat strength is related to his own level, Indeedee's combat strength depends entirely on the firepower of the weapons she wields.
Therefore, level advancement is not a necessity for her.
Additionally, besides serving as the team's firepower expert, Indeedee also acts as the team's 'Battlefield Commander,' 'Logistics Manager,' 'Master Chef,' 'Maid for Daily Life,' 'Battlefield Support,' 'Temporary Healer,' and 'Nanny.'
She plays multiple roles.
Bai Chen felt a little bad giving Indeedee so many tasks at once.
"Used the least Skill Proficiency to boost her strength, yet she plays the most important role in the team. Truly, she's too sensible, I'm going to cry."
Thinking this, Bai Chen angrily punched Basarios, the disappointing fellow.
He spent more resources than Indeedee, but spends every day thinking about how to slack off and be a lazy bum.
"No more talking. Double the training load starting now."
Basarios: ?
• 6. Tinkatuff — Team Blacksmith
Level: 27 → 32
Skills unchanged except the critical one:
Master Forging — Master level
Her role list was… extensive:
Blacksmith
Quartermaster
Artillery handler
Cook
Battle coordinator
Field medic
Babysitter
She basically carried the entire logistical backend of Team Bai Chen.
• 7. Little Nebula (Cosmog)
Still extremely young — not suited for major battles yet.
No new moves, no new training — merely leveling.
His true potential would only awaken once he evolved into a Legendary Stage.
For now?
Team mascot.
Future weapon of mass destruction.
Final Check Before Departure
Bai Chen reviewed everything:
18 Z-Crystals
1 Dynamax Band
1 Galar Energy Storage Stone (2 uses)

2 phones (one satellite-grade)
10 full power banks for Indeedee

Everything was ready.
Bai Chen exhaled slowly.
│ "Preparations complete…
