As Lyra spoke, the Heart of the Cosmos began to glow even brighter, its energy pulsing with an otherworldly power. The heroes watched in awe as the crystal seemed to come to life, its light bursting forth in a radiant explosion of color and sound.
The energy wave swept over the heroes, lifting them off their feet and sending them tumbling through the air. When they finally came to rest, they found themselves standing in a completely different world.
The sky was a deep, burning red, and the ground beneath their feet was scorched and barren. Strange, twisted creatures roamed the landscape, their eyes glowing with an unnatural energy.
"What is this place?" Elowen asked, her voice filled with fear.
Lyra looked around, her eyes wide with wonder. "I think it's a parallel universe," she said, her voice bar hiely above a whisper. "A world that exists alongside our own, but is completely separate and distinct."
Thane's face darkened. "And I think we're stuck here," he growled.
Kael nodded, his eyes scanning the horizon. "I think you're right, Thane. We need to find a way back home, and fast."
The heroes nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew that they had to find a way back to their own world, no matter the cost.
