Chapter 1 - A Lost Dream & A Imperial Request

The path was hazy; it was overcome by the light mist of the morning dawn. It was peaceful - quiet, even - only the muffled running of the river stream was heard. There was a faint light from up ahead and through it could be seen a slim figure.

Vaguely, he was aware he was dreaming. Yet, he couldn't help but find the stranger familiar. The familiar shape of their form and their calming presence brought back a distant memory. One that remained on the edge of his mind but not brought fully into remembrance.

He could feel the light calling to him, beckoning him to come closer.

And so, he did.

The person turned, now facing him.

She smiled.

He knew who she was.

Cyril awoke with a start, panting heavily with a cold sweat running down his back. His dream seemed to be important but as he tried to keep hold of what little he remembered, they ran away into the back corners of his memory.

Strange, he thought to himself - he was always one to have a good memory remembering what he wanted and even what he didn't.

He spent a minute or so trying to remember the dream. It felt as though he had to, like it was significant some how.

After awhile the rapid sound of someone knocking brought him back down to earth.

"My Lord! The second prince has arrive and wishes an audience with you!"

With a sigh, Cyril got out of his bed and begun to get ready for the tiring day ahead.

The second prince was a cheerful man with a bubbly personality. His blond locks of hair glowed in the shine of the sun, casting him in a golden light and his emerald eyes were like trees in early spring. He looked straight out of the legends told by mothers to their children when they wanted them to go to sleep. A prince in shining armour.

"You certainly took your time" The prince spoke with a joyful grin.

"I woke up late" Cyril explained while rubbing his eyes.

The prince looked at him with a worried expression, " Is something wrong? It's not like you to over sleep."

"It was strange," Cyril hesitated, " I had a dream, but it seemed important somehow."

"Huh. Well what was it about"

"I don't know"

"Eh?"

"I don't remember." Just as the prince was about to speak he cut him off, " Nevermind that, why did you come here so suddenly without a word?"

"I …. I need something from you. Please." The prince looked up at him with pleading eyes.

Cyril rolled his, " Well what is it?"

" Find someone. Find someone for me"
