as for the walls they were only three metres high and no magic inscription or enchantements for providing buffs to the defenders like healing or fortified to increase armour defence or debuff against the invaders like fear or elemental traps at least this what intelligence gathered by Bruce but he also tends to believe since it will cost more than what the barrony worth to add those enchantements to the wall so it was safe to say that the intelligence is reliable.
But that didn't mean they didn't prepare in traps anyone could a bunch of large cauldrons on the walls boiling as what inside them either oil or water mixed with waste or anything that would stick or hurt the enemy.

After a volley of cannonball came thus shattering the defending army completely they turned from an organised army to a fleeing mob with no intention of retaliating against the invaders one must make note that this was happening a three places at same time which paralysed the chain of command not knowing what to do where to send reinforcement or how to deal with those attacks so the date of the town was sealed the moment those guns roared at the beginning thus the legionnaires started a long process of chasing the enemy in the entire town capturing or killing them at same time taking hold of strategic place like the castle, the guards posts and barracks so on....
A five hour later a messanger came to Carl:'sir commander Siegfried and fendric say they have total control over the town and they are sorry to convey that the traitor has fled as to where they are still searching and the town it's safe for the lord to com in.
Hearing this news 📰 Damien was happy but also angry after all that cockroach 🪳 of Dylan is still a live he will need to hunt him down in order to end this feud before it grow but for now he will have to be content with expelling him and taking the town as here he can start a new industry that will bring endless money 🤑 which ""salt"" 🧂.
