Long after the ambulance has left, Cleyn reappeared out of the lab, carrying 2 transparent bags.
The Driver was standing beside the car, with a bombardment of questions at the back of his head. Cleyn slowly approached the Driver, after closely scanning the whole area.He also had an uneasy feeling in the atmosphere after what he just saw inside the lab.
"Sir, do you think we are being watched?" Asked the Driver with a grum expression.
"I am afraid if it's a complete trap being set up. After all, multiple people want us dead." Cleyn responded while rubbing his hands.
"Sir, I had a strange interaction just moments ago. Something that left me particularly confused, I wish I was an introvert." Said the Driver taking the evidence bags from Cleyn to the back.
"Sometimes in life, we do meet strange people in certain events. It's not something to be afraid off but we need to take lessons or closely study their behaviour to get our answers." Replied Cleyn, with a sharp glance at the tyre marks.
"Sir, I don't get my answers that way. If that was the case, I would have understood why my wife always gets angry at me" Driver said, closing the back door.
"Look it was a thing for general purpose and it's a trait only silent people can achieve. For women, you can't actually read them completely blud". Cleyn responded, putting the arms inside the car.
"Sir, you know more about life than this profession." Driver said, with a smile.
"Might be the case, currently both my life and the deserts are dry." Cleyn said with a slight smile as well.
"Sir, should we leave now? The night is approaching thats when evil activities takes a zenith." Driver said, standing a slight tilted near the car door.
"Offcourse, turn on the car. Just give me 5 minutes, I will be there." Cleyn said, moving towards the tyre marks.
The Driver tried to start the car, only to see that it wouldn't turn on. He felt a bit hesitant to call Cleyn so he tried to repeat this process. Meanwhile, Cleyn went near the greasy tyre marks. He closely studied the marks and to his surprise, the pattern said a complete different story.
He saw that the vehicle had 'Load Focused Patterns' which is often used for commercial vans. There was no aggressive sipping present in there, also the 'High Traction Pattern' was nowhere to be seen.
"So, this is a love story, but not the kind that ends with anyone alive." Cleyn said with a silent voice.
He looked around only to see that the car was standing motionless with the Driver trying to restart the engine. It felt like democracy to him. He waved his hand at the Driver with an indication of asking about the issue. The Driver shoke his head and nodded with a disapproval.
Cleyn started to move towards the car, with thoughts that the automobile might be dangerous at the moment. He felt something fishy in the atmosphere, he signalled the Driver to come out.
"Sir, this thing wouldn't start. I just had this back from the mechanic last week, turns out that freak scammed me" Driver said in a furious way.
"I feel like that might not be the case. Someone else is behind all this. I feel like the ones who took the body were imposters too." Cleyn replied, patting Driver on the shoulder.
"I have a fishy feeling as well but I got no proof. How did you find any clue for this judgement? Also do you think those bastards are back for us?" Driver asked with a side eye.
"Turns out to be that way. I just studied the tyre marks and it was no ambulance that took the body, It was a complete different tale." Said Cleyn with a sharp pitch.
"So what's our next step?" Driver asked, looking at the entrance of lab.
"As for now, lets just search for the hospital where I called. Grab the evidence from the car. Leave the car in this condition. I am afraid bugs are installed in there" Cleyn said with an usual look towards the car.
"Sir, it might not be safe to do so in this unfamiliar side of the country. This town seems a resting place for the devils." Driver said, slowly moving towards the car.
"Leave that to me." Responded Cleyn, taking his phone out.
"Okay sir" Driver replied with a node, taking the evidence bags from the car and then sitting on the trunk.
Cleyn dialed the number of Blayne, the most closest ally to his forces after Kerlonz. Blayne picked the call on the 2nd ring. There were more of close friends than partners cause they had a part of their childhoods in the same area, irrespective of age but due to the vibe.
"Hi buddy, how are u going? Is everything alright? Cause when you call its either a mission or a party invitation which are both bad news to a person like me." Said Blayne in the same breath.
"I was doing good before I joined these forces. Well this time, I would require you to bring ur 'Transmatico G45'. I need some backup cause my car just broke down." Replied Cleyn, with the same energy.
[So for Transmatico G45, it was a long automobile like that of a race car, with metal blades attached for removing any obstacle. For ice clearance, it also had shovels & scrapers attached. For emergency, it could be minimized into tiny matter particularly of the size of an mosquito. Wings were also installed in that car for air rescue].
"On my way. Drop ur location. I will tell my Gf to put my coffee in the car. U want some?" Blayne said, with a fast pace.
"Alright, bring 2 more of those. Can u bring the map of this city as well?" Cleyn asked, looking around.
"Sure thing pal. See you in a bit. OAO" Blayne said, fixing his hair.
"OAO bud." Cleyn responded, closing the phone. While he was about to say anything hereceived a call from Goldour.
"Hey...are u okay?" Cleyn said in a concerned tone.
"I am afraid I wouldn't survive today. I would just like to convict my message to you that I didn't betray you sir. I was loyal to you and your services." Goldour said in a high pitch, with easy noise behind him.
"HEY, NOO,NOO,NOO...Prepare a hideout mate. We can't loose you brother." Cleyn replied with a huge shout, trying to listen closely to the background noises.
The Driver stood up from the trunk and approached Cleyn when he saw that the situation got tense.
"I am trying my level best. Something I want to confess before I leave you." Goldour said, with signals being not available for Cleyn to hear completely.
"Alright, I hope you make ur way out of this mate. I am sending emergency officers over at your place right away." Cleyn responded, closely listening the calls.
"Sir, I will try my best. For now I am sending you the information I collected from the note, and the...mysterious symbol. Do check ur email, also do consider meeting [Mr Akira] as he was the eye witness of the last murder that happened in China." Goldour said, the noises in the background increasing.
"Done buddy, I hope you escape that trap. I should have considered coming at your place but unfortunately I took the wrong decision." Cleyn replied, with a sad tone.
"U did what was right for the humanity. For the occupation. Don't consider blaming yourself" Goldour said with a comforting tone.
The noises became that close that Cleyn felt that he was almost present there.
"Thanks for the hardwork and immense support. I will make sure your family never gets any problems ahead. Also i never considered u to be disloyal to our services" Cleyn said with the same energy.
"Thats enough to finish my story on a happy story. Over an-"
There was a firing sound and the phone got cut. Cleyn stood there with this head low.
"Sir, do you think this death mongers are going to stop?" Driver asked, putting his hand on Cleyn's shoulder.
"I am trying to figure out the same answer lad. It's about time we put a stop to these." Cleyn said, with a groak towards the lab.
