Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: The Silver King's Proclamation

Three days after the great battle, the new Monolith #32 was completed.

Although it could not reach the initial height of 1.6 kilometers, its height reached 300 meters. The electromagnetic field emitted was enough to deter the majority of Gastrea.

Everyone was engaged in reconstruction; Tokyo seemed to be filled with life again.

However, there were people who could neither eat well nor sleep peacefully.

The leaders of the remaining areas and nations were in this state. They were all supporters of the IISO leader's plan to eliminate the Silver King, but now the IISO leader was unreachable, and the Silver King had returned. This spoke volumes.

They feared being exposed, followed by facing a furious retribution!

Beneath a gloomy prison in Tokyo.

Smack!

The sound of skin hitting flesh echoed.

Yasuwaki Takuto's cheek was red from a slap. And the person who slapped him was none other than Seitenshi.

"Lady... Seitenshi..."

His lips trembled; he fundamentally couldn't imagine the gentle Seitenshi striking someone. But the next thing he received was another slap.

Then, Seitenshi coldly turned and spoke to the warden nearby.

"Interrogate him. Make him confess every single word to me. Who he met, who he went with. Find out everything!"

Seeing Seitenshi's sharp eyes, the warden subtly swallowed, bowing his head in silence.

The three individuals, including Yasuwaki Takuto, had been dismissed after the incident with Rentaro. Seitenshi couldn't have imagined that the three bodyguards she dismissed would be the culprits behind the bombing of the battery convoy and the bombing of the Silver King's dominion. Both incidents were related to the life and death of all of Tokyo. This crime was too light even for death.

However, Seitenshi still knew these three fools were not the real culprits, but merely instruments being used.

With Takuto's capability, he couldn't have obtained those bombs, especially ones with a destructive force strong enough to breach the dominion's barrier wall. The people who supplied the bombs were the ones pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Seitenshi retreated to her private room, slumped her head down, and sighed tiredly. Her heart was currently heavy.

For the past few days, Seitenshi had sent notices to the Silver King, but all were ignored, like stones sinking into the ocean. She had even personally visited the dominion, but the Silver King refused to meet her. Even the notification about the perpetrators received no response.

This was very strange, and strangeness certainly has a reason. Logically, the Silver King should be demanding justice by now. But he remained silent inside the dominion, fundamentally unresponsive to anything. This made Seitenshi extremely uneasy.

She also considered the better possibility that the Silver King had overlooked the matter. After all, the bombing and subsequent riot resulted in no casualties. Only the physical infrastructure was damaged.

But this chilling sensation still surrounds the head of Tokyo.

The Silver King's dominion.

After returning, Luke felt that the Silver King was acting very strangely. He was often spaced out, and his replies were vague.

Sometimes he could be seen standing, looking at the sun. Sometimes he could be seen staring at the ruined classroom, stroking the trampled flower bushes.

Thinking of this, Luke sighed with sorrow.

Thankfully, in the crisis, everyone had evacuated to the underground facility below the ground, which saved them. Otherwise, given the frantic state of the extremist protesters at the time, Luke fundamentally couldn't imagine what would have happened.

But seeing the devastation of the dominion, he also felt boundless pain. Every brick, every stone, every flower bush here was a part of "home," a place that Luke and many others had watched grow, and poured a lot of emotion into.

Now that the home was destroyed, anyone would feel upset.

Receiving the research results, Luke's eyes lit up. He quickly ran to find the Silver King.

Seeing the Silver King sitting on the rooftop, Luke excitedly rushed over.

"My Lord, the entire research was a complete success! The girl you rescued is indeed the missing element..."

Luke spoke a lot, but contrary to him, the Silver King remained silent. Only when he finished did the King quietly chime in with a sentence.

"Yes... good..."

"My Lord... are you alright?"

Luke mustered all his courage to ask.

He was mentally prepared for him not to answer, but the Silver King's voice rang out.

"On the first day I arrived here, I clearly remember sitting on a ruined building. Looking down and watching those little girls eat steak... that scene..."

The Silver King spoke as if telling an old story, but he abruptly stopped halfway through.

Luke patiently waited for him to speak again. However, his next sentence was not a continuation of the old story, but an order.

"Luke, connect with the other Territories. Prepare the broadcast equipment. Tomorrow... I want to give a speech to the whole world."

He finally made a move!

Hearing this familiar tone, Luke unconsciously smiled. He stood up solemnly, then bowed his head.

"I will carry it out in the best possible way, My Lord!"

Afterward, Luke turned and left. He had a lot of work to do.

Seeing Luke's figure completely disappear. The Silver King then extended his arm, which was now trembling with a strong amplitude, moreover non-stop, like an old man's arm.

Suddenly, the Silver King clenched his fist. A massive surge of power erupted, stirring the surrounding air. The trembling disappeared, replaced by a feeling of strength and hardness like steel.

The Silver King looked at his fist, lost in thought.

Three days after the reconstruction, Tokyo's rhythm of life finally returned to normal. People started going to work, laboring, and studying.

Although he had quite a bit of money in hand, Rentaro did not move to a more upscale location. Partially because it wasn't necessary, but mainly because this place held many memories.

Tina and Enju were still sleeping in, while Rentaro had woken up to prepare food. He simmered a pot of meat soup, intending to nourish the two girls a bit, and also bring some over to Kisara and Miori.

After a while, the aroma traveled and awakened Enju's sense of smell. The little girl groggily got up. She then followed the scent into the kitchen.

"Rentaro, what smells so good..."

"You'll find out soon."

Rentaro smiled mysteriously. Enju nodded; as long as there was food, it was fine. She shifted her goal to the living room, intending to turn on the TV to see if there was anything to pass the time.

The screen lit up; it was the usual morning program. Suddenly, Enju seemed to see something terrifying. She quickly screamed, alarming Rentaro in the kitchen.

He ran out, intending to advise the little girl not to watch horror movies so early in the morning. But as soon as he reached the living room, he froze in shock, the ladle in his hand dropping to the floor.

The screen had been replaced by an image of the Silver King. He stood at the very Homeland Flame Memorial, slowly speaking.

"I am very disappointed."

"I once had great mercy."

"I gave you great... great mercy."

"But all of you are beyond saving."

"And as a punishment. Everyone, from the seas, the trees, the beasts, the Gastrea, and even humanity... I will grant you an equal death, a death that nothing alive can escape."

"This is not hostility, nor is it revenge. It is simply that your existence is no longer necessary."

"My final mercy is three days. Three days starting from today. And after that..."

"I will destroy this world."
