"I want nothing from you," Elyndra replied calmly, stepping past him to inspect the dead boar from a different angle. " I was just scanning this sector and felt a massive, violent spike in ambient essence a few days ago. I came to this region tracking that disturbance."
She straightened, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ears. "Your local tribes are really too loud. Always making a ruckus for nothing."
She turned back to look at him.
"You just survived a rather massive beast tide, didn't you?" Vael asked, her tone carrying a hint of genuine curiosity. "Your tribe believes they have weathered the storm. They are patching their wooden fences and celebrating their survival."
Elyndra's glowing violet eyes narrowed slightly, the amusement fading into a cold seriousness.
"But they are blind," she continued quietly. "The creatures that attacked your walls did not randomly frenzy. That was a coordinated, manufactured event."
