Chapter 50 - Chapter 50. Cement Success

Link, unable to contain his eagerness, grabbed an iron shovel, scooped up a shovel full of cement slurry, and steadily poured it onto a stone brick. He then picked up another stone brick and placed it perfectly on top.

Afterward, he tapped the stone brick with his hand, confirming that the two bricks were firmly adhered.

"The cement's setting time is approximately 6 to 8 hours. However, considering this is a trial product and its stability hasn't been confirmed, Lord Link, let's wait until tomorrow to see the results," Hanna said after a moment's thought.

"Alright, then I'll come again first thing tomorrow morning. The cement is done; aren't you going back to rest, Hanna?" Link asked with concern.

"I'm still planning to tinker with other things. Like firing green bricks, and there's a lot of animal fat left over from previous battles; I think I can use it to make soap. Aren't you in a hurry to make money? I need to be prepared; there's just too much to do. It's not too late for me to go back later," Hanna replied enthusiastically.

"Mm, then remember to come back early for dinner tonight, don't work too late," Link reminded with a smile... After dinner, Link, just like last night, skillfully made his way to Agnes's room.

It wasn't that he was fickle or easily swayed; if anything, Olivia's position in his heart was truly incomparable to Agnes's.

In fact, strictly speaking, Olivia couldn't even be considered a "former love" in his heart.

After all, she was merely a slave wife.

Agnes, to him, was different.

Not only was she more capable, occupying an irreplaceable position in Link's heart, but at this moment, having just tasted the intimacies of a man and a woman, she was like a delicate, freshly blooming flower, evoking pity.

In such circumstances, Link naturally had to show more tenderness and care.

However, Agnes was not an ordinary delicate woman. As an extraordinarily powerful martial artist, this "minor issue" after her first intimate experience was nothing more than a trivial matter to her.

By evening, Agnes had already recovered completely from this minor injury, feeling no discomfort whatsoever.

As the two lay in bed, entangled in affection and intimacy, reveling in their passion, she shed her usual cold, unapproachable demeanor. On the contrary, she stubbornly refused to be pinned beneath Link, insisting on taking the dominant role, only relenting when she rode atop him.

She insisted on the female-on-top position.

This situation truly made it hard to distinguish who was the aggressor and who was the receiver.

Or perhaps, in matters of love, it's inherently difficult to define roles, and in this ambiguous and enchanting atmosphere, the boundaries blurred even further.

Meanwhile, poor Olivia could only endure another night of torment from the incessant, plaintive moans emanating from next door.

The sounds, as if possessing magic, penetrated the walls and entered her ears, stirring her heartstrings, yet filling her with bitter sorrow.

That night, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep in endless agony and pain, every minute and second passing incredibly slowly, as if trapped in an infernal hell, suffering torment... The next morning, not long after dawn, Link, after breakfast, eagerly took Agnes and Fiora and hurried to Hanna's experimental workshop.

As soon as he pushed open the door, Link's gaze was instantly drawn to the sight before him.

The surface of the cement had already solidified, tightly bonded to the two stone bricks, seamless and perfectly integrated.

However, the solidified surface was not smooth, but somewhat uneven.

With full anticipation, Link slowly crouched down and reached out a finger to gently press the hardened cement.

The moment his fingertip touched the cement surface, the solid feel brought a surge of joy to his heart, and an involuntary smile of pleasant surprise appeared on his face.

The cement surface was very hard, completely different from the soft, slightly granular texture of compacted earth.

Curious, he couldn't help but try to scratch it with his fingernail, but even with all his might, his nail ached, yet the cement surface remained completely still, leaving not a single trace.

Link did not give up. He stood up, his gaze falling on the stone brick bonded with the cement.

"I wonder if I can break off the top stone brick alone?"

Acting on his thought, Link tightly gripped the edge of the top stone brick, intending to break it off by itself.

However, the upper and lower stone bricks were firmly stuck together; no matter how he tried to pry them apart, they remained tightly bonded, without moving an inch.

Unwilling to give up, he kicked it hard several times from the side.

Each kick carried significant force.

With a few dull thuds, the top stone brick finally couldn't withstand the powerful force and cracked down the middle.

But even so, the two stone bricks remained firmly bonded together.

Finally, Link drew the Knight's Sword from his waist, gripped the hilt with both hands, raised it high, and then forcefully struck down at the joint between the stone brick and the cement.

Yet, even with that, he only managed to chip off a small corner. The bond between the cement and the stone brick still looked largely intact.

"It's done!" Link exclaimed excitedly, his eyes gleaming with triumph.

At this level, it was already very difficult to break with ordinary human strength.
