Chapter 120 - Chapter 119

The Quidditch stands thundered with anticipation.Flags of Ravenclaw blue and Slytherin green rippled under a sharp autumn wind. Every student in Hogwarts — from first-years waving enchanted banners to professors tucked beneath warming charms — buzzed with excitement.

It wasn't just another match. It was the debut of the Firebolt, the broom everyone in the wizarding world was whispering about — the broom designed and perfected under the mysterious Liyue brand.

And the one flying it was none other than Cho Chang, Ravenclaw's Seeker.

The Calm Before the Storm

Roy stood at the edge of the pitch near the commentator's tower, his cloak rippling against the breeze.Hermione, Daphne, Astoria, Cassandra, Penelope, and Ginny stood beside him, bundled in scarves. Hermione was nearly vibrating with excitement — and nerves.

"That's the Firebolt you gave Cho, isn't it?" she asked."The very same," Roy replied, eyes glinting with amusement. "Though this one's… improved."

"Improved?" Daphne echoed, suspicious.

Roy smirked. "I made a few enchantment upgrades — smoother stability in turbulence, triple acceleration runes, and a small alchemical circuit that aligns to the rider's intent. It reacts like it's alive."

Ginny's eyes went wide. "So Cho can practically think her way through a dive?"

Roy nodded. "Exactly. The Firebolt listens to willpower, not just grip. Today, you'll see what that means."

The Match Begins

Madam Hooch's whistle cut through the air like lightning.

"And they're off!" Lee Jordan's voice boomed over the stadium.

Ravenclaw and Slytherin soared into the sky, brooms streaking across the sunlight. Cho's Firebolt blazed forward, a streak of silver and blue, moving with such precision that gasps echoed from the stands.

"That speed — Merlin's beard — Cho Chang just outmaneuvered Marcus Flint by six broom lengths!" Lee Jordan shouted.

Even Professor McGonagall was seen clutching the railing, wide-eyed.

High above, the golden Snitch glimmered — darting like a spark of mischief through the clouds. Cho angled her Firebolt, and the broom responded instantly, bending space around her as if she were dancing through air itself.

Roy smiled faintly, feeling the faint vibration of resonance from the pocket charm on his wrist — a tether linked to the Firebolt's enchantments. The broom was functioning perfectly.

The Enchanted Duel

Slytherin's Seeker, Terence Higgs, wasn't far behind, pushing his Nimbus 2001 to its absolute limit. But the Firebolt was in another league entirely.

He tried to block Cho's dive — but the Firebolt folded the air around itself, twisting through his path like a streak of living lightning.

"She disappeared for a second!" one student screamed."That's the spatial stream enchantment," Hermione breathed. "Roy, you did add experimental runes!"

Roy chuckled softly. "Just a minor adjustment. Controlled bursts — enough to let the broom bend motion across short distances. Still perfectly safe… I think."

Hermione groaned. "Think?"

The Final Chase

The Snitch darted toward the goal hoops, the crowd holding its breath.Higgs leaned forward, muscles taut, eyes locked. But Cho's Firebolt shimmered — an azure trail of wind forming wings behind her.

She reached out — fingers brushing the Snitch.

At that exact moment, Higgs rammed into her side, a dirty Slytherin move. The stadium gasped as Cho spun midair — but instead of falling, the Firebolt flared, catching her in a smooth aerial arc.

It was as if the broom refused to let her fall.

Roy's eyes narrowed — his enchantment's soul-sync feature had activated. It had protected her.

Cho recovered instantly, hair flying in the wind, and surged forward again. With one sharp dive, she snatched the Snitch clean from the air.

The stands exploded.

"RAVENCLAW WINS! RAVENCLAW WINS BY 150 POINTS!"

Aftermath

After the match, the crowd surrounded Cho as she landed, still dazed by the victory. Her teammates lifted her on their shoulders, chanting her name. Across the stands, Roy gave her a small, proud nod.

She caught his gaze — and smiled. The way her eyes softened, the slight blush on her cheeks, told Roy she knew exactly who she owed her win to.

As the crowd began to clear, Hermione elbowed Roy playfully.

"Your inventions are starting to make history."

Roy chuckled. "It's her skill that made the difference. The Firebolt only amplifies what's already there."

Hermione smirked. "That's not what the entire school will say after today."

Roy just shrugged, his gaze still fixed on the sky where the last trace of blue light lingered. "Let them talk. It's time the world learned that a broom could carry more than just a rider — it could carry a dream."

Elsewhere

High above the castle in the tower window, Rowena Ravenclaw watched through a scrying mirror. Her fingers traced the reflection of Roy's faint smile.

"A creator who makes others fly," she whispered softly. "Perhaps… I am not the only one who has fallen for his light."
