Cherreads

Chapter 125 - Chapter 124

Morning sunlight poured through the enchanted glass of the Great Hall. Owls swooped in with Wizard Weekly and Daily Prophet editions, dropping copies across the long tables.

It started with a single headline shouted from the Gryffindor table.

"Oi, look at this!" shouted one fifth-year, waving the front page. "Cleansweep's been bought by Liyue Store — and they've released a new broom! The Sky-1!"

Within moments, the news spread like wildfire. Every table was alive with chatter — Ravenclaws reading the specs aloud, Hufflepuffs comparing prices, and Slytherins already calculating who could afford it.

Hermione, sitting beside Roy and Daphne, frowned as she read the fine print.

"Nine hundred galleons for a broom that's faster than the Nimbus 2001?""That's… impossible," she muttered. "Unless—"

"Unless someone brilliant made it happen," Daphne interrupted with a sly smile, glancing at Roy, who pretended to be deeply interested in his toast.

Hermione narrowed her eyes at him.

"You wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would you?"

Roy just took a slow sip of pumpkin juice. "Me? I'm just as surprised as everyone else."

Across the hall, Oliver Wood looked like he'd been hit by a bludger.

"First Firebolt, now this?!" he groaned to the Weasley twins. "We're training like maniacs, and now half the school will be zipping around on these Sky-1s!"

Fred smirked, whispering to George.

"Funny, eh? You think Roy might—""—nah," George grinned, "that'd be too convenient. Right?"

They both glanced at Roy, who gave them a look that said don't you dare. The twins grinned wider.

By lunchtime, Professor Flitwick was reading the paper at the staff table, his excitement almost childlike.

"Marvelous! Do you realize what this means? An affordable broom that maintains precision flight control? Revolutionary!"

Professor McGonagall adjusted her glasses.

"Affordable or not, if I see first-years flying across the courtyard without permission, I'll ban brooms altogether."

Even Snape, at the far end of the table, glanced once at the paper and muttered under his breath,

"Skyjade Dynamics… Hmph. More nonsense from those Liyue merchants."

But his expression tightened when he read the line:

"A division under the Liyue Store, owned by Roy Valvas."

Snape's eyes flicked immediately toward the Hufflepuff table — toward Roy, who was now laughing with Cho and Penelope. The corner of Snape's mouth twitched.

"That boy again…"

Later that afternoon, on the Quidditch Pitch

Students swarmed around a single crate stamped with the Skyjade Dynamics insignia — twin phoenixes spiraling around a jade star. The first shipment of Sky-1 brooms had arrived for Hogwarts' training program.

The excitement was electric.

"They're so light!" one Ravenclaw exclaimed, holding a broom up to the sunlight. "And look at the rune pattern— it's completely different from Nimbus!""It feels like flying on a cloud!" shouted a second-year who had managed to sneak a ride.

Roy stood near the stands, arms crossed, watching the sky as half the school took turns on the test brooms.Cho soared past him, her hair catching the wind, laughing as the Sky-1 responded to her every command with perfect grace.

"Roy!" she called, circling down. "It's incredible! Whoever designed this knew exactly what Quidditch flyers needed!"

Roy smiled faintly. "I'll make sure to pass on your compliment," he said — but the glint in his eyes betrayed the truth.

That evening in the Great Hall, the Evening Prophet headline confirmed it:

"Skyjade Dynamics Declared the Fastest-Growing Magical Company of the Decade — Founder's Identity Sparks Curiosity."

Hermione, reading it aloud, sighed.

"They're all trying to find out who's behind it. Maybe it's better they don't know."

"Yeah," Daphne added teasingly. "Otherwise the poor bloke would be swarmed by reporters, witches, and half the Quidditch League."

Roy raised an eyebrow. "You make it sound like a curse."

"For you," Astoria said, grinning, "it would be."

They all laughed — and as the Hall buzzed with talk of Skyjade Dynamics, Roy leaned back, content to watch the excitement spread like wildfire. He didn't need fame; the results spoke for themselves. And somewhere far away, in a marble office under the Liyue insignia, Skyjade Dynamics continued to reshape the wizarding skies.
