Chapter 311 - Chapter 308

The morning sun bathed Hogwarts in a warm glow as students made their way to their classes. Whispers filled the corridors—today was the day Roy would officially introduce the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professors: Remus Lupin and Sirius Black.

In the Great Hall, the students gathered eagerly. Many of the senior students, especially those who remembered Lupin's previous tenure at Hogwarts, were visibly excited. Hermione, Ginny, and several others whispered to one another, smiling with anticipation.

Roy entered the hall first, exuding his usual calm authority. He called for attention and began:"Today, Hogwarts welcomes back two legendary defenders of the wizarding world—Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. They will be taking the Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, ensuring you are prepared for anything that comes your way."

The hall erupted in applause, cheers echoing off the enchanted ceiling.

Lupin stepped forward first, his calm and composed demeanor immediately commanding respect. He gave a gentle nod to the students:"It's good to be back. Defence Against the Dark Arts isn't just about spells—it's about understanding your opponents, staying calm under pressure, and using your mind as well as your wand."

Sirius followed, a mischievous grin on his face. He waved flamboyantly, immediately drawing laughter and admiration:"And I'm here to make sure you also enjoy learning while staying alive. A bit of daring and courage goes a long way, don't forget that."

Lupin and Sirius then walked down the line of professors, greeting them warmly. They stopped to speak to Horace Slughorn, who beamed with delight."Remus, Sirius, welcome back! Hogwarts has missed you both," Slughorn said, shaking their hands.

Other professors exchanged smiles, nods, and warm greetings. The atmosphere was joyful and welcoming, except for one: Severus Snape. His jaw tightened, and his eyes narrowed as he muttered under his breath, clearly displeased with their return. The students noticed but wisely kept their distance.

The class began in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, which Lupin had personally arranged for maximum safety and learning efficiency.

Lupin's teaching style was precise and analytical. He began with theory, explaining the dangers of dark magic, the mindset of dark wizards, and how to anticipate attacks. He encouraged questions, and students were eager to participate, appreciating his patient explanations.

Sirius's approach was completely different—hands-on and daring. He led the students through dueling exercises, demonstrating how to counter curses, protect themselves in real-time, and think strategically in dangerous situations. His lessons were intense but exhilarating, and students couldn't help but enjoy the thrill of it.

Many students whispered excitedly:"Lupin's back! I remember his classes—they were amazing!""Sirius's dueling is incredible!"

Even some younger students, who had only heard tales of the two men, were mesmerized by their confidence and skill.

By the end of the first class, students were energized and inspired. Lupin and Sirius exchanged a satisfied glance—they could see the potential in these young wizards.

Meanwhile, in the corner, Snape's expression remained stormy. He muttered to himself,"This will complicate everything…", clearly plotting his next move to undermine them.

After the class, Lupin and Sirius met with Roy, who was quietly observing the students from the doorway."They seem eager to learn," Roy said, smiling."Indeed," Lupin replied. "These students have great potential. With guidance, they'll be formidable."Sirius added with a grin, "And I'll make sure they're not afraid to use it."

Roy nodded, satisfied. Hogwarts was in capable hands, and the first day of the new Defence Against the Dark Arts era had already begun to inspire hope, excitement, and determination among the students.
