Chapter 164 - Vol 3, 163, Chapter 32: Two Fingers

A/N: Hello everyone. I rarely do these anymore since im just so tired. But I wanted to address the ai slop thingy that's been thrown around.

I have to point out to you all. I'm a human being with a life. I write about 6 or 7 fanfics. Im still in college, I have work, also a social life. It's impossible to not use ai, because then I'd have to post about once a week.

But then again I love my community, as shifty and as rude as you are. The reason i even abandoned the idea of a discord was because of how rude yall are man. I can take trolling, criticism etc, but some of yall are just downright rude and i can't take that.

But the spacing improves chapter 166 I think. So no more "ai slop", which is just a complaint on spacing btw. No shifting narrative etc. The only thing that makes it "ai slop" is spacing. But fine. I've fixed it now.

--

The forest didn't breathe.

It watched.

Four warriors stood frozen.

One man stood relaxed.

Loki tilted his head slightly.

"…So."

A small smile.

"You're Rimuru's subordinates, huh?"

No one answered.

They couldn't.

Because now they understood.

That thing in front of them—

Wasn't just strong.

It was wrong.

Loki sighed lightly.

"…Well."

He raised his hand.

Two fingers.

Index.

Middle.

"I'll use these."

A casual gesture.

"…Let's see how strong you are."

Silence.

Then—

Shion snapped.

"…Don't screw with us!"

She vanished.

The ground cracked beneath her step.

Her blade came down with monstrous force.

"Oraaaaa!"

Loki didn't move.

Two fingers rose—

Clang.

The impact exploded outward.

Shockwaves tore through the forest.

Shion's eyes widened.

"…What—!?"

Her full-power strike—

Stopped.

By two fingers.

"…Too slow."

He flicked.

Shion's body launched backward.

A blur.

Crashing through trees—

Gone.

"Shion!"

Benimaru moved.

Flames erupted.

"Hell Flare!"

A massive inferno swallowed Loki whole.

Heat devoured everything.

Souei struck from within the blaze.

"Shadow Motion!"

Blades from every angle.

Threads binding.

Precision killing intent.

Hakuro stepped in.

Perfect.

Silent.

"Ittoryu…"

A breath.

"…Severing Flash."

All three attacks converged.

Fire.

Shadow.

Steel.

The explosion that followed—

Shook the forest.

Silence.

Smoke cleared.

Loki stood there.

Untouched.

"…Better."

He stepped forward.

Gone.

Benimaru's eyes widened.

"…Where—!?"

Tap.

Two fingers pressed against his chest.

"…!"

For a moment—

Nothing happened.

Then—

BOOM.

Benimaru's body blasted backward.

Flames scattering.

He crashed into the ground—

Sliding.

Coughing.

Souei moved instantly.

"Binding Threads!"

Dozens of shadow threads wrapped around Loki—

Arms.

Legs.

Neck.

Pulled tight.

"…Got him."

"…Did you?"

Souei froze.

Loki looked down.

"…Not bad control."

Two fingers moved.

Snap.

Every thread—

Severed.

Souei's eyes widened—

Too late.

Loki appeared in front of him.

Two fingers—

Tap.

Souei vanished.

Reappearing embedded in a distant cliffside.

Unconscious.

Hakuro stepped forward.

Alone now.

His third eye opened again.

Fully.

"…I see."

A breath.

"…So this is the level."

He lowered his stance.

Perfect form.

"Then I will give everything."

A step.

He disappeared.

Appeared behind Loki.

Strike—

Gone.

Loki wasn't there.

"…!"

"Too rigid."

Hakuro turned—

Too slow.

Two fingers pressed lightly against his forehead.

"…You rely too much on precision."

A flick.

Hakuro dropped.

Clean.

Instant.

Silence.

Four bodies.

Down.

No struggle.

No resistance.

Just—

Overwhelming difference.

Loki exhaled lightly.

"…Hm."

A glance around.

"…Not bad."

Then—

A presence approached.

Fast.

Familiar.

Loki turned.

A blue-haired figure rushed into the clearing.

Rimuru.

He stopped.

Eyes wide.

Taking in the scene.

Shion.

Benimaru.

Souei.

Hakuro.

All defeated.

Silence.

Then—

"…Loki-sama?"

Loki smiled casually.

Raised a hand.

"Yo."

Like nothing had happened.

"I came to visit."

---

The air had changed.

It wasn't just heavy.

It was suffocating.

Rimuru stood there, staring at the scene in front of him. Benimaru, Shion, Souei, and Hakuro scattered across the ground, bloodied, broken, barely conscious.

And still… apologizing.

"Rimuru-sama… we failed…"

"I'm sorry…"

"Couldn't… protect…"

Each word landed like a weight on his chest.

Something inside Rimuru snapped.

"…Loki-sama."

His voice was low.

Too low.

Loki tilted his head slightly, watching him with interest.

"Yes?"

Rimuru's aura began to rise.

At first, it was subtle.

Then it wasn't.

Magicules spilled out violently, distorting the air around him, kicking up dust and wind in sharp bursts.

"You did this… to them?"

Loki didn't answer immediately.

He could.

He just chose not to.

Instead, a slow smile spread across his face.

"Oh?"

Rimuru's fists clenched.

The ground beneath him cracked.

"I asked you something."

Still, Loki said nothing.

Because this—

This was exactly what he wanted.

That pressure.

That anger.

That intent.

Good.

"Perfect," Loki muttered under his breath.

Rimuru's eyes sharpened.

"…Great Sage."

[Analyzing opponent.]

[Analysis failed.]

[Target's existence exceeds measurable parameters.]

Rimuru's jaw tightened.

'Of course.'

"Then we adapt."

[Understood.]

His body shifted slightly.

Muscles tightening.

Stance lowering.

Predator instincts kicking in.

"Then I'll just… beat him anyway."

And then—

He vanished.

A sonic boom cracked the air as Rimuru shot forward at full speed, his body becoming a blur.

Loki didn't move.

Not even a step.

Just as Rimuru closed in—

"Black Lightning!"

A surge of energy erupted from Rimuru's arm as he swung down—

BOOM.

The ground exploded.

A massive crater formed instantly.

Dust and debris shot into the sky.

For a brief moment—

Silence.

Then—

"Too slow."

Rimuru's eyes widened.

Loki's voice came from behind him.

He turned—

But Loki was already there.

Close.

Too close.

Using one hand.

Just one.

Two fingers extended.

Tap.

A light touch against Rimuru's shoulder.

And then—

BOOM.

Rimuru was launched across the battlefield like a bullet, crashing through trees, tearing through the ground before finally skidding to a stop.

He coughed.

"…What the hell was that!?"

[Impact force exceeded defensive threshold.]

[Damage: Moderate.]

[Initiating regeneration.]

Rimuru pushed himself up.

His body already healing.

"…He barely touched me."

[Correct.]

[Conclusion: Direct combat disadvantage is overwhelming.]

Rimuru wiped the corner of his mouth.

"…Yeah. I figured."

The air shifted again.

Loki stood where Rimuru had just been, completely relaxed.

One hand still behind his back.

The other casually at his side.

Watching.

Waiting.

Like this was nothing more than entertainment.

"…You're not even taking this seriously."

Loki shrugged.

"You're strong."

A pause.

"But not strong enough for me to use both hands."

Rimuru felt his eye twitch.

"…Great Sage."

[Yes.]

"Any way to win?"

A brief silence.

Then—

[Answer: No.]

Flat.

Immediate.

Absolute.

Rimuru exhaled slowly.

"…Then we ignore that."

[Understood.]

Magicules surged again.

This time sharper.

More focused.

Rimuru raised his hand.

"Water Blade!"

A compressed blade of high-pressure water shot forward at lethal speed—

Loki tilted his head slightly.

It missed.

Rimuru was already behind him.

"Take this—!"

His arm shifted mid-swing—

"Predator!"

A black mass surged forward, aiming to consume—

Loki moved.

Not fast.

Not flashy.

Just… enough.

His two fingers flicked forward.

Slice.

The black mass split cleanly in half.

Rimuru froze.

"…You cut Predator?"

"Don't look so surprised."

Loki stepped forward.

Casual.

Effortless.

"You're relying too much on your skills."

Tap.

Another light touch—

BOOM.

Rimuru hit the ground this time, the impact cracking the earth beneath him.

He gasped.

Air leaving his lungs.

[Damage increasing.]

[Warning: Continued engagement is not advised.]

"…Shut up."

Rimuru forced himself up again.

Breathing heavier now.

Eyes locked on Loki.

"…I'm not done."

Loki smiled.

Of course he wasn't.

That's what made this fun.

"Good."

He raised his hand slightly this time.

Not two fingers.

A full hand.

"Show me everything."

Rimuru's aura flared violently.

"Then don't complain!"

The ground shattered beneath him as he launched forward again—

Faster.

Sharper.

More desperate.

The fight escalated instantly.

Blades.

Magic.

Predator.

Close combat.

Everything Rimuru had—

Thrown at Loki without hesitation.

And Loki—

Still smiling—

Met it all.

Effortlessly.
