The next morning, the doctor entered with a heavy expression.
> "Mr. Sharma," he said softly, "your son has lost too much blood. His body is very weak. He… he may not have more than three days."
The words shattered the parents' world. The mother collapsed into tears, and the father could only stare blankly at his son, unable to believe what he had heard.
But they didn't waste another second.
For the next two days, they did everything the boy ever wanted. They took him out of the hospital for a few hours — just one last time.
They went to the mall.
They ate ice cream.
They laughed in the park.
They played cricket until the boy's hands trembled from exhaustion.
For the first time, he looked truly happy. The parents watched him smile — that innocent, pure smile they hadn't seen in years. It was as if the world had stopped, giving them one last chance to be a family.
