Terrifying screams resounded out from within Kelvin's mind like a lion's roar but Kelvin's pale lips simply curled up in a smile and didn't reply as he watched news on the Holo-Tv.
The news about Earth's second evolution had filled every news station for about a year and was still the most prominent news, until three months ago.
The earth's core revealed a fine hair line crack and a whole new element bled out from within the earth's core. The government has failed to identify this element and simply named it "Orgium".
Anyone infected by this element doesn't have any side effect apart from pale skins, and deeper shade of color in their pupils. For example, dark eyes would've as dark as the abyss itself, blue eyes even deeper than the oceans, and so on.
These people have all been isolated by the world government and they have also realeased a mandatory drug 'Valluim' to prevent the elements from causing further harm to the citizens.

Kelvin inhaled through the pain. He then closed his eyes and all of a sudden, he was transported into his mind's eye.
Inisde of his consciousness was pure darkness. But within that darkness was a massive cage looking very much like a bird's cage.
And inside this cage, an illusory figure could be seen sitting cross-legged on the cage's floor with dispair on their face.
The moment Kelvin appeared, the figure immediately looked up and it was an incredibly handsome man with long white hair and deep blue eyes that looked insanely fierce.
But those fierce eyes were filled with tears at this moment.
"You're much calmer now." Kelvin's floated above the cage as he glanced at the man locked in the bird's cage.
"My condition is still the same as always. Let me see your memories, from beginning to end and I will let you go."
Kelvin's voice suddenly softened. "I know your soul can't last up to a year. And seeing your memories would make your soul even weaker. But i promise to let you go after seeing your memories. Hm?"
The white haired man's eyes turned red as he glared at Kelvin as multiple torture method flash through his head. He cursed the person that taught this youth the Ancient Soul-Locking Array and cursed himself for not devouring this youth's soul when he had the chance.
"Don't look at me that way. I'm currently dying anyways, if you devour my soul, you won't be able to escape this body and simply just die in a few months."
"Hmph! Alright. Isn't it just my memories? You wouldn't be able to use the techniques here either way. The will of this world has absorbed all the spiritual energy here for its evolution anyways." The man sneered.
He suddenly slapped his forehead and with a muffled 'bang', a multicolored orb of energy floated out of his forehead. The man flicked his finger and the energy suddenly slammed into Kelvin's body in an incredibe speed.
Kelvin didn't bother to dodge and simply let the energy settled on him.
Instantly, memories of thousands of years surged into his head like a tide. He was pretty used to it at by this point that thousands of memories only caused him a slight head.
Suddenly, Kelvin opened his eye and sighed. "What an incredible experience."
The man was the most talented sword god but had actually been ambushed and killed by his lover during his ascension to False Immortal realm.
Kelvin stared at the man who simply looked at him calmly from within the prison. Now that he had experienced his life, he was pretty satisfied. It was even more heroic than Kelvin had thought, rising from a weakling only yo become the strongest.
But with more heroic he was the more tragic his story also was.
"Are you going to go back on your word?" The man's eyes gleamed dangerously but his words were calm.
Kelvin didn't say anything and simply stared at him for a minute before replying. "You knew you were going to die once I saw your memories, why did you still give them to me?"
The man simply chuckled and his white hair flowed like snakes as he looked up, almost as though staring at the skies beyond the mind scape. "Hope is the most dangerous thing to a man."
Kelvin blinked his eyes expressionlessly, raised his hands and clenched his fist.
In that moment, the entire cage reduced to the size of a rice grain, crushing the soul to pieces with tiny motes of lights flying about.
Kelvin inhaled and the remnants and he immediately closed his eyes groaned in satisfaction and pleasure as his soul grew even stronger.
"-Vin? -Elvin? Kelvin?"
Kelvin was pulled back to the real world as a female voice rang out through into his ears.
He opened his eyes only to be gritted by the most beautiful pair of green eyes he has ever seen. It was as though staring into pure celestial emerald with no spark of impurity within.
"Your eyes are really really pretty." He couldn't help but say.
The lady who was just an inch away from his face rolled her eyes.
"Knock!"
"Ouch! What was that for?"
"You're dying in two months and yet still have lots of nonsense to say." Benita snorted as she brought the basket of food on the table closer to the hospital bed Kelvin was sleeping on.
"Is this how you treat your boyfriend who has cancer?" Kelvin pouted, forcing tears to come out of his eyes.
"Knowing you, I doubt death would be able to keep you for long before returning you back to earth." Benita simply said offhandly.
"I brought your favorite fruit. I still don't understand why a man would love banana. Not even I love banana that much." Benita grumbled but her hands didn't stop moving as she peeled a set of banana, grabbed a portable blender and proceeded to blend them all then placed a straw into.
"Hey! What are you trying to imply?" Kelvin halted angrily at her, the heartbeat monitor beeping in the background increased.
Seeing this, Benita sneered. "Why is your heartbeat rising? Are you feeling guilty about your preference?"
Kelvin's mouth opened wide and he didn't know what else to say. "Hmph. Suck your banana juice. Who knows what else you suck in secret."
This time, Kelvin was in tears. He could out speak immortals, trick them into revealing their most sacred treasures but this female roommate of his was in another level entirely!
It could be said she was the one that thought him everything he knew!
He sighed, opened his mouth and proceeded to suck the banana juice.
"Good boy!" Benita smiled sweetly and patted his head softly.
"If I'm not weak due to this cancer, do you believe I won't kill you!?" Kelvin angrily removed his head from her patting hand.
"Cancer or not, you're too gay to hit a woman."
"That's it! Nurse! Nurse! Help! Someone is being murdered here!"
The nurse who had just passed the hallway reversed but when he saw the hospital room number he shook his head and muttered something that sounded like "Two crazy adults" and then continued his journey.
After they both argued for a while, Benita suddenly got serious. "I go you something.
Kelvin's pouting face lit up but the stared at her in suspicion. "What's that?"
Benita suddenly reached into her bag and brought out a thick futuristic necklace.
"It's the game everyone is excited about. I already ordered the Neuro-gear."
Kelvin raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Considering the fact that I know how poor and wretched you are, how did you afford this?"
Benita shyly looked away as she tucked her hair aside. "I sold your Rx-27 Hover bike."
Kelvin suspicious face froze for a moment before he suddenly reached out to bite her hand but since he was already paralyzed and couldn't move much, Benita was able to dodge it easily.
"Hehehe!" Benita giggled cutely. "Alright alright, I'm just joking. You're not dead yet, how could I bare to sell your stuffs?"
She then gently lifted his head and placed the necklace on his neck. The game will start in a few hours. You must promise to log in and try it out. At least if you're a vegetable in real life, virtual world should be different right?"
Kelvin gritted his teeth in anger. This girl was barely 18 but her words are so hurtful he just wants to jump up and beat her up.
"Will you also be in game?" Kelvin suddenly asked.
Benita tucked her long dark hair behind her ear and she smiled knowingly. "Yes, I will be in the game. I'm also looking forward to how realistic it would be."
"Alright, I need to work. See you later." She suddenly bent forward and took Kelvin's lips in hers as she drenches kissed him deeply before getting up for breath.
"Satisfying." Benita smacked her lips.
"Y-you! This is rape!"
"Who would believe you?" With that she took her bag, adjusted her flowery gown, giggling happily as she skipped out.
