Serena's POV
"What?" I screamed. "No way! You can drop me off at Maya's. I'm not going home with you."
I screamed. What did he mean by going home with him? There was no way I'd let that happen.
Alexander turned to me with a dark look in his eyes and I swallowed. But I couldn't back down easily. I had to stand my ground.
"Honestly, I'm grateful that you saved me tonight. I really am. But that doesn't mean I need to be at your place. You can just drop me off at Maya's. I'm sure she'd be happy to see me." I said all of these in a single breath.
Alexander didn't respond to me. Instead, he continued driving. I thought he gave in to me, and I heaved a sigh of relief.
My eyes brightened as Maya's apartment complex came into view. "You can drop me off here." I said to him, and once again, I was ignored.
My eyes dulled as I watched him drive past the complex. I turned to him once again, blinking.
"We... we just passed by Maya's complex." I pointed out with a low voice.
