Chapter 427 - [428] : Blood Crystals

Anderson was killing.

Among the pirate horde, he elegantly raised both hands, and over a dozen blazing white fireballs materialized around him.

Though small, the fireballs radiated scorching heat, their destructive power not to be underestimated.

"Kill him!"

"All together, he can't handle all of us at once!"

The pirates shouted and roared, wielding their weapons with savage madness.

Their ferocity was fully aroused, knowing they had reached the point where they must fight for their lives.

If their second mate leader was killed, they too would be doomed!

Led by several pirate Beyonders, they all lunged at Anderson simultaneously.

Massive cleavers, sharp daggers, spiritually-infused revolvers... all weapons aimed at Anderson!

And Anderson struck at the same moment.

"Swoosh!"

As if conducting a symphony, he swung his arms, crossing them inward. This gesture was like a signal, sending the fireballs around him shooting out in all directions.

The flames were the forte of the music, the blood was the interlude, and death was the finale!

"Thud, thud, thud!"

The fireballs precisely struck each pirate's fatal weak point.

Their faces still frozen with crazed expressions, their bodies had already stiffened in place, allowing fatal wounds to continuously spurt blood.

From ordinary pirates to Beyonders, all were the same!

"Thump, thump..."

Moments later, with Anderson as the center, the corpses crashed backward, falling like dominoes and knocking each other down.

In an instant, they covered the entire deck.

"That felt good..."

Anderson let out a satisfied sigh, calming the surge of energy coursing through him.

To finish the fight quickly, he had relied on his Hunter Sequence 5 abilities, "Weakness Identification" and "Reaping", erasing all the pirates in an instant.

After all, I'm the strongest Hunter under the demigods of the Fog Sea.

Clearing the field like this is still a piece of cake… These past few days following that monster Gascoigne around almost made me forget that.

Right, how's the battle over there going!

Anderson immediately looked toward the bow.

He was surprised to find no trace of Silas at the bow, only that demon gripping a blazing lava longsword, standing there dumbly.

Its body was massive and ferocious, while also brimming with desire that could drive one mad.

It seemed that just a few more glances would cause one to be devoured by extreme inner emotions.

Where did that Gascoigne guy go... Don't tell me I have to deal with a Sequence 5 "Apostle of Desire" myself?

Anderson's heart filled with panic.

He had no confidence in dealing with such a monster!

"Swoosh!"

But just then, the demon's hands suddenly grabbed the giant sword and pressed it against its own neck!

What the hell...

Anderson was dumbstruck.

Only then did he realize that the demon's terrifying face actually showed terror and helplessness, its arms trembling uncontrollably.

It wanted to lower the longsword, but its body was completely out of control.

Instead, it brought the blade closer and closer to its own neck, bit by bit.

"Stop..."

Kircheis squeezed the sound through his teeth, watching the blade scrape his skin. The blood that welled up was instantly evaporated with a "hiss."

He struggled desperately to resist, but a cold aura filled his body, seizing control.

What's more, crazed and corrupt voices continuously echoed in his ears, affecting his spirit!

Finally, his mental defenses completely collapsed.

"No!"

Anderson heard the demon's desperate cry, then saw its arms exert force, forcibly hacking off its own head!

"Thud, thud..."

The horned head fell down, rolling all the way to Anderson's feet before stopping.

But the headless body was still moving, sheathing the sword and stepping down from the bow.

As it walked, blood plasma bubbled "glug glug" from the stump of its neck.

"!"

Anderson's eyelids twitched wildly as he quickly retreated.

He watched as the figure picked up its head and "reinstalled" it on its neck. The wound partially healed accordingly, no longer spurting blood.

Moments later, Silas's figure appeared beside the corpse, slowly transforming from ethereal to solid.

"Why are you staring at me?"

Sensing Anderson's gaze, Silas asked.

"Nothing, pretty impressive, haha..."

Anderson forced a dry laugh.

He just felt that the confidence he'd just built up seemed to have quietly deflated again.

How odd.

Silas thought to himself, no longer paying attention to Anderson.

Instead, he turned his attention to the corpse before him.

A corpse worth 9,500 pounds definitely couldn't be thrown away.

But he was currently stuck here with no way to leave in the short term, making the corpse difficult to preserve... And even if he preserved it, claiming the bounty would be troublesome...

Just then, a thought suddenly popped into Silas's mind.

Why not just transfer it to The Hanged Man and have him claim it for me?

Plus, searching this ship should yield some things too. I can bundle it all together and have him sell it...

"Hm? What's this?"

Just as Silas was pondering, Anderson's surprised voice suddenly reached his ears.

He looked down to discover an abnormality appearing on Kircheis's body.

From his wound, a slender crystal composed purely of blood had precipitated out, emitting the smell of sulfur.

"There's a lot over here too!"

Anderson continued shouting.

He saw that similar crystals had also precipitated from the bodies of the dead pirates on the deck, glittering in the pools of blood.

What the hell is this stuff?

Could it be that all the pirates under the Immortality King have this inside them?

Silas was shocked and puzzled, unable to understand the origin of this thing.

But after a moment's thought, he turned his gaze to Kircheis's corpse.

Why not just ask this guy's soul directly!

With this thought, he opened his palm toward the corpse. A phantom mouth with bone-white teeth instantly grew from his palm.

"Whoosh..."

The mouth opened, and bone-chilling cold wind howled, producing powerful suction that forcibly ripped Kircheis's soul along with his Beyonder characteristic from the corpse.

"Tell me, what is this crystal?"

Silas bit down on the soul with the phantom mouth, his teeth applying pressure.

"Ahhh!"

Kircheis screamed miserably. "It's the 'Death Announcer'! We swore loyalty to the 'Death Announcer'!"

Death Announcer?

Isn't that the Immortality King Agalito's flagship?

"Are you messing with me?"

Silas applied even more force, his teeth biting the soul with crunching sounds.

"Ahhh! I'm not lying!" the man screamed in pure agony.

"Everyone on board the 'Death Announcer' gets consumed by it! They turn into its servants! And it's working together with Agalito!"

Never mind Silas's reaction, Anderson was already shocked by this news.

The so-called "Immortality King"... his crew actually didn't obey him?

This was truly unprecedented breaking news!
